My car was totaled while being parked. A vehicle struck another vehicle sending it over ****** into a parking lot where I was parked. This accident happened 3/26/2022 it is now 8/31/2022. Kemper insurance continues to give me the runaround without telling me what my payout or WHEN will my check will be issued. I am unable to speak anyone in management. They keep forwarding my message to an incompetent agent named ********************The claim number is **********. My car was a **** Corolla. I have no information and its been going on 7 months now. It shouldn't take this long to be told how much and when Im going to receive. I was also treated extremely poorly by *************** who the adjuster assigned to my case. Kemper has terrible reputation.

I was involved in a car accident on August 5, 2022 where I was not at fault. I am insured with Kemper Infinity and have been having the worst customer service experience ever. My adjuster is ******************************* and the supervisor is *********************. I am having to call every single day as she is keeping her line going straight to voicemail. She called me on August 19, 2022 at 9 am telling me my car can be potentially fixed (when initially they said its a potential total loss) so she sent me a list of shops to choose from and to call her back immediately that same day. I called her back within 5 minutes with a shop and straight to voicemail. I tried again hours later and nothing. Left a voicemail and even sent an email with the shop I chose. The whole day passed and no call back. Wednesday 8/24, with still no call back after my repeated calls to confirm the move of my car, I receive a check in the mail for the repairs. I had no idea what to do with it or why it was even sent as she never called me back. Finally Thurs 8/25 I got a hold of someone who referred me to the supervisor ***** which also had his inbox set to voicemail and I left a voicemail. No callback either. They told me theyd escalate the file since I hadnt received a call in about a week. She finally called me back. Turns out the shop I chose couldnt take my car bc it is non drivable. I only found that out on Mon 8/29 bc I called to see the status. Again I was told to call around and this time ask for a shop that could take a non drivable car. ******* then told me to call her back to confirm. She seemed very confused if my car was still at the *** location. I called her back again within 10 minutes with a shop that could take it and straight to voicemail, left one and emailed with the shop I chose. No call back. Have been calling all morning today 8/30 and no response. This is incredibly frustrating as I have been without a vehicle for almost a month and I need to get to work.Business Response

We have Kemper as our auto insurance company. They were slow and difficult to work with when a deer hit my car a couple years ago, but the price is good so we stuck with them. I recently received a letter from the *** DMV saying my registration is being suspended for lack of insurance. Weird, because my car has always been insuredit auto-renews each year and payments are automatically withdrawn from my checking account. I tried to log on to my account but after two failed password attempts my account was locked. I emailed Kemper asking to reset my password. TWO days later I received a reply with a new password. When I was finally able to log on to my account, I discovered that when my policy renewed in June, somehow a vehicle I no longer even own showed back up on my policy and the car Im currently driving is no where to be found. I want Kemper to rectify this immediately and notify the *** DMV that this was their error.Business Response

It all started when i received a bill from a Towing company stating that my car (**** Pontiac Grand Prix) was impounded back in January of 2022 . I tossed the paperwork so I don't have the name. I explained to the person that I traded this car in about 5 years ago to ****************** dealership and it's no longer mine. Since then I've been receiving letters from Kemper stating that I owe them $4,086.13 for an accident on January 29,2022 with ******************************** somewhere in ***********, **********. I've also told them that I haven't owned the car for about 5 years yet I still continued to receive these letters. I did their job and verified with the *** to make sure they had all the necessary paperwork and my file was updated showing I am no longer the registered owner of that car and it was confirmed. I feel they are trying to scam me because I was the only one that reached out to the towing company and them about this, even though the dealership and other owner after that was listed on the paperwork. I'm now getting calls from a **************** that I shouldn't be having deal with this. Either Kemper is scamming me or this ****************************** is.Business Response

I believe I am a victim in a scam. On August 11, 2022, I contacted my policy holder, Kemper Insurance Company. My inquiry was regarding assistance with flat tire replacement for my vehicle that was parked in front of my home. I was told that my roadside assistance (third party vendor-Quest towing) covered flat tires at an amount of $100.00. Kemper reached out to Quest towing, who reached out to ****. She stated that it was a tow company that changes tires and that they will contact me with arrival time. **** arrives at 5:12pm. At 5:20 he informs me that he cannot get the lugnuts off and needed further instruction from his supervisor. Quest instructed **** to take my vehicle to the ****** dealership near my home. At 6:33pm, **** informed me he was still waiting at the dealership for further instructions from Quest. I went to the dealership to find that **** was not there; 6:58 I contacted a supervisor at **** who informed me that my car was towed and in King ****** County. I then contacted the police and Quest. Quest informed me they are contacting **** to get my car returned to my home. At this time the officer left because the vehicle was being returned. Over two hours passed-- At 8:57 a supervisor at Quest informed me that I should report my car stolen because the **** recovery cost is well over $100 and that the car should not have been towed. The police officer returned and stated because I have an address where my car was taken, it cannot be reported stolen. Due to Kemper being the first point of contact for a simple tire change, I believe they are responsible and liable for all damages and or loss incurred, they reached out to Quest/****. Kemper is stating that they are not liable and to reach out to Quest and ****, which claim that they will not release the vehicle until a $2,575 fee is paid. As of 8/21/2022, my car has not been returned. Need assistance on moving forward with a claim.Business Response

Hello! My name is ***************************** I have been having issues were I was told I would receive the receipt of how much it would be for one of the cars under a policy of two cars, we got the total amount for 6 months but actually wanted the total monthly for each of the cars since we still will pay it together. I have a policy with Kemper life and I have been for over 10 years in January a representative came by my home and placed a card on my door and suggested that I pay my premium with her I paid $100 January 19th 2022 and $85 March 2022 payments before then was November the 20th 2021 $59.16 and August 17th 2021 for $51 when I made the payment with the representative she made the payment to a policy that was not mine which caused some confusion and it was as if I had made a payment my payments per month is $17 which my payment wouldn't be due until the end of July the beginning of August when I noticed that I did not receive a bill in the mail for August nor a cancelations for non payment at anytime this year I called and they said that my policy had laspe in March but I'm not understanding why I believe my payments have been applied incorrectly and my policy has been canceled incorrectly I've tried to call customer service and ask for a return call from a supervisor manager or chain of command along with consumer affairs and no one has reached back out to me to resolve this issue.
