I parked in a ParkWhiz spot on June 6, 2025 in *******, **. This was a pay by phone app. I put in my information and got no confirmation so I tried it again. The second time it didnt go through either. Since I had an appointment, I moved to a different parking area completely that accepted a physical credit card for payment. My credit card bill showed I was charged twice by ParkWhiz. I contacted them to dispute the charges and sent a photo of my receipt showing where I parked instead. They removed one charge from my credit card but refused to remove the second charge. I was charged for a service I could not use as it didnt process completely on my phone and I didnt want to risk parking in the ParkWhiz spot for fear of getting a ticket.Business Response

I tried to park at ******************** last night. I scanned the sign indicating to pay here. I did so, twice, because the website is terrible and double charged me. It also did not provide me with any kind of confirmation number or proof that I paid. At this point I discovered it was not an unmanned lot as there was now some person approaching me asking for proof that I paid. I didn't have that since parkwhiz is fraudulent or a scam or whatever it is. He even required I show a bank app but was still unsatisfied with the mulitple parkwhiz charges datestamped to 8:30 pm last night. I was ejected from the lot for not paying. I have no transaction numbers, I'm attempting to dispute with my bank but I need it to process first. I was defrauded by both parkwhiz and park america last night and would like to make sure these businesses are known for their parking scams.Business Response

This company is an absolute scam. Paid $30 for parking with this company 5 months in advance for an event, showed up and was given an attitude and told the garage was full and I had to go to the other garage "owned by the same company" and it wouldn't cost me and my pass would be honored, so I did as told. The other garage had no attendant and I was forced to pay another $30 to be able to leave the parking garage, and no refund is available through the parkwhiz app or the garage bc it was the day of the event. This company stole $30 from me, they shouldn't allow reservations for parking spots with no way to monitor it and no way to offer refunds when they can't honor said reservation. Requested a refund from Parkwhiz 5 days after the reservation and they responded saying they can't give me a refund because they can't get the money back from the garage after 14 days from the reservation, but even their response denying my refund was 12 days after the reservation so still within the 14 day period. They just stole my $30 while the garage also got $30.Initial Complaint

The website is to provide paid parking in advance. I made an appointment to park and I made an error on the date and time. The time that was booked in error was today. All I need to do is change the date and time. After 45 minutes on their website and App I find out that Incan not make the changes. I was sent an email to apply for a credit and I was told it would take 3 to 5 business days. Their entire process is I used on their keeping your money without getting the service. Totally frustrating and I do not want anyone else to go through this disaster.Please help, stop themBusiness Response

Unfortunately, ParkWhiz Terms of Service are null and void for any passes purchased through a reselling site, and in case you experience an issue with your pass, youll need to reach out directly to the service through which you transacted to seek a refund/reimbursement, as ParkWhiz is not liable for these sales.

We purchased a parking spot using Parking Whiz to attend a graduation directly across the parking space. The parking space is on ********************* on May 23 6pm - 10pm. We paid $15 to Park Whiz. The graduation is at the ******************************. When we arrived, the lot was completely full. We even waited for people to leave. This forced us to go to another parking lot in order to go to the graduation at 7. We had to pay $24 for the other parking space. Park Whiz refund site asks for proof of payment. I gave them a picture of my credit card of $24.I asked for a refund, yet, Park Whiz is asking for proof that the park space was full by giving them a picture which we didn't think of taking. It seemed like this is a scam. They don't want to pay me back. I read that the lot is a Public lot. How can you charge me for a public lot? Be careful people!! On May 4th, 2025 I booked a parking space with Icon parking in *** using the Parkwhiz app online. I was charged $42.40 and had a confirmation. On May 16th, when I arrived at the Icon garage, I was told my confirmation was canceled and the amount was refunded, neither was true. The Icon garage who had already parked my car said it was going to cost $85. I called Parkwhiz customer relations and they said to submit my receipt for the $85 and they would refund it to me. When I got my car back the night of 5/16, the Icon garage charged me $95.When I submitted my charge, and included the Parwhiz customer service text they said they would only refund me the $42.40 not the $85 as promised and said they would give me a $50 voucher. This is not what was agreed upon and I do not want a voucher for companies that I never intend to do business with again.Business Response

Upon arriving to pick up my car there was a line of people waiting to be taken care of. I noticed that my car happened to be parked at the entrance instead of inside the garage like everyone else. Due to the long wait, customers felt comfortable to sit on my car and nobody said nothing to them. The attendee did not want to give me my keys because of the long line and because it was not my turn (understandable but my car was in the front). Very upset that people were allowed to use my car as an arm rest and a seat.Business Response
