I used SpotHero to make parking reservations in DC, but when I arrived at the garage, they said that they did not honor SpotHero reservations. I then received an email from Spot Hero saying my reservation had been cancelled, my purchase had been refunded, and I would receive a credit for $40 on my account. Almost two weeks later, multiple emails, and a frustrating phone call to customer service and I still have not received even my refund let alone the credit that was promised. To get my refund the customer service agent said I had to prove that my reservation had been cancelled and that I had parked elsewhere and claimed that SpotHero had not sent me the email I referenced and provided to them and that they had no record of the cancellation. The agent finally agreed to provide a refund but would not honor the promise of a credit. At this point I doubt I will ever receive the refund. I will never use this company again.SpotHero

I paid for a spot with my reservation # ******** and it wouldnt take the barcode coming in or leaving. The garage told us that is a common problem with the SpotHero app and that, if we wanted to leave, Id have to pay again. They said thats because the city (who operates the garage) and SpotHero dont communicate, so wed have to resolve it with SpotHero. I called ******** immediately and the lady said she would send me an email to file a claim as well as my receipt. I would then be given a case manager who would let me know if, when and how much I may receive. I never received an email and tried sending another email to customer service twice with no response. Im still out my $32 with no resolution or answers.SpotHero

Spot hero charged us $20 more than the drive up rate at a lot in *************.. Then the garage wanted to charge ** an extra $20 for a large vehicle. The total parking cost was going to end up $70. We felt completely taken advantage of and decided to park at the neighboring lot for $40. Spot hero would not refund the $53 I already paid for parking. Worst experience EVER.SpotHero

SpotHero tricked me into buying prepaid credit of $250 without telling me how much I was paying. I thought I was paying for a $12 parking pass, but the company actually charged me $212.50. The amount only showed up after the transaction completed. I called right after the transaction, and emailed several times. Still no resolution and feedback for 4 days. Besides not showing the amount the customer is paying, in the linked document, it also said the credit is not refundable. How convenient it is for the company to scam you into buying credit you actually don't want! Terrible company!!!SpotHero

Dishonest company. Paid for parking in d.c. the address was an elementary school. When calling customer service I kept getting put on hold for about ***** minutes then they would hang up on me. So Im writing off the ***** I spent on parking. DO NOT USE!!!SpotHero

The absolute worst company. Had an issue right away. They took my payment with no problem before I was even given a confirmation number. **************** is horrible. Thank goodness I paid with a credit card and got a full refund. They responded to 1 out of 5 times I emailed. The one time they did, they didnt help. Beware of this companySpotHero

I reserved a parking spot with SpotHero but when I arrived there were not any spots available. I reached out to customer service for a refund and they asked for my receipt for where I ended up parking. After providing it, they never responded to repeated follow up requests despite telling them I would dispute the charge with my bank if they didn't not respond. Total SCAM!SpotHero

My first and only time using SpotHero my car got towed. Warning:SpotHero will cancel your purchase at any moment. The app sends no notifications and they don't timestamp any changes to avoid any validation or accountability. Support asked for my personal information from towing company acting as if they were looking to help then ghosted me. That shouldn't be a surprise though if you look at the 100s of other cases documented online of this behavior.SpotHero: another company with garbage humans behind it that support a culture of ignoring issues rather than trying to be better. Instead of being honest about not wanting to help people, let's lie to them then disappear.SpotHero

Last three times I have used SpotHero in DC or *********, the app has wound up being worthless. The reservation I had to beg and plead the person at the parking area to let me in, the second time the parking lot was hosting, some sort of event, so I couldnt park there, and the third time (and what finally made me delete the app from my phone), was the fact that the photos they included in my reservation had nothing to do with the actual parking area. I understand its probably hard to keep track of all these parking spaces, but clearly spot hero is unable to do so. But, it doesnt hesitate to charge you, all the while providing lousy customer service. The customer service rep actually said to me that I should make a phone call to them in real time rather than afterwards, and this is after her taking 12 minutes on the phone to figure out where I was trying to park. Imagine being a parking gate with cars behind you and telling the people behind you lining up: Yeah Im on the phone with SpotHero, so Im gonna need another 12 minutes. This is not an app to use.SpotHero

SpotHero is ridiculous! I followed the direction to the address listed! It said 322, but then all the way at the bottom said enter at 321. How does that even make sense?! 322 and 321 are on OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE STREET! Their solution: refund the $12 reservation and leave me with an $87 ticket! Horrible customer service. Their response: your experience definitely did not meet our ideals. Basically a giant, ***** for you! Idk about you, but I dont have an extra $87 to just fling around rn. What is with these companies and their horrible customer service these days? They just leave the little guys with the bills and basically just say a giant F you! Then they give you a $50 credit only after you raise ****, and you still have to use it within a year. So great, still have to pay a net loss of $25 and thats assuming I even use those $50 for parking in the next year. I did what I was supposed to. Can they say the same? No. No accountability at all.SpotHero
