I'm paying every month for panels that haven't been working for a year. Tesla agents hang up every time I call them because they can't figure out what's wrong. Stay away from Tesla. Solar City was good when we had it.

We are having the worst experiences with they billing department, they are very narrow minded and ONLY will take ACH payments, that according to them will take 7/10 days to process into my account. They think consumer is dumb!, that is not true, a ACH process it's done IMMEDIATELY.They wont take check payments or credit cards. SO YOU ARE STUCK with their company policy.I'm going to investigate in my state is this is a illegal practice.

My opinion is that their product, or the concept of their product is good, but their customer service is the worst of any ********************** that I have dealt with in my life. I initially had a 15 year solar system lease with Solar City. For the first 5 years, things were great, as SC monitored my system, discovering and replacing a faulty inverter at no cost. But as soon as Tesla took over, their customer service became non-existent. It is almost as if it is a goal of the company is to provide the worst service possible. When seeking support, you go through their app and a series of connections to the wrong person. And when you reach that person, there is no follow through. You can never reach that same person, and when you reconnect, you have to go through the entire explanation process again. I asked one person if I could contact a person that had authority on billing issues and they refused to pass on information. I had one service call set 1 month in advance, and when the day came, the service tech did not show up. The next day of service, he did show up, but 4 hours later than the 5 hour time slot given. I was flabbergasted when he told me that he was one of only two service techs servicing the entire ************* Bay Peninsula. The company COULD allocate more of their budget to hiring more support and service people, and developing protocols that make the process pleasurable, but I think that there is a company culture there where employees and service is not valued. But, in all honesty, they do have a few good employees who are knowledgeable and helpful. I just hope that they are able to maintain their values while working in a culture that is not nurturing good business practices.

My 12k KW system was installed by Tesla Nov 2022. All worked nice and no issues. Aug 2, early morning it stopped generating. I tried the chat customer service, ********************** pushes for it. Worthless and easy of time! I could have done the same troubleshooting myself reading, support documents. Besides, the chat drops you, and then you have to go back to the start of the queue. One chat guy after spending at least 30 minutes on the chat, try to transfer me to another department in the chat, but drop the chat. Again, have to start over again. the phone customer support system is also horrible. You wait for half an hour, only for the option to call you back opens up for you. Tesla has a horrible customer support process. What respectful ********************** sells a $66k system and then when the system has complete failure for 15 consecutive days, their response is that it takes 25 days to review the case!! The response should be, like any other warrantied system is to send service personnel as soon as possible to the residence. Can BBB please look into these horrible and unfair practices by Tesla. If they are going to sell so many installations, they should be staffed to handle the support.

I had my solar panel installed in 02/2023. Inverter failed in 07/2023. I called for a service. It scheduled in 10/2023. It is ridiculous to take such a long time!

This is regarding support ticket C000C01A41 I am a tesla solar customer. I've had it on my roof for over two years, as it was in place when I bought the house. I've monitored it's output with the tesla app.Got a new phone and couldn't get the app to show me my system. When I logged in it just tried to sell me a car and other products. I "worked with" Tesla support for over a week trying to address this. It boiled down to this: I could log onto Tesla on my laptop. You have to login to deal with support at all. But I couldn't login to the app on my phone. It'd tell me account is locked and not accessible, WHILE CONCURRENTLY LOGGED IN ON LAPTOP. They said it was two different systems. "One company, one login?", no, apparently not, as they don't have integrated systems. After much hassle and many delays, I logged into the app on the phone, but it just tries to sell me stuff. The "gateway" box next to my modem/router is on, no red lights, and support says they can see my solar monitoring, but it doesn't show up on my phone. I asked if there was any way to get my phone to manually "handshake" the gateway, as everything seems to indicate that the gateway and phone aren't talking to each other, but I'm told there's no way to do that.So in the end they say there's no problem "on their end". I can't see my solar monitoring but they can, and the implication is that something's wrong on my end, but there's nothing unique about my phone or anything. So they say they'll refer it to their "application team". They've done this twice already. They'd say to check back in three days, I'd do so, and find that NOTHING has changed. They did this twice, and now they're not even giving a timeline, just saying that the "app team" will email me when they have some clue. So clearly they have abandoned me. Don't buy from them, as you'll be ignored once support is out of ideas.

We had our Tesla system installed in late December 2022, with PTO being received in late January 2023. When the system was first installed the App showed an issue. This issue remained active on the App until at least mid-February when **************** advised me that our system was operating as it should (I had to reach out to them - the App notification is virtually useless). Noticing that we were still receiving rather large power bills, I looked at our production numbers and saw how small they were relative to the size of the system we purchased (**** kw). I had such high faith in Tesla that they knew what they were doing with solar installation and maintenance, that I just accepted that we purchased a $56k system that didnt provide as much energy as I thought it would (south facing roof with no trees). I stopped looking at the App until we received a rather large power bill in July - in the middle of the best solar production. I look at the App and lo and behold there is another service issue activated. I reached out to them and was advised that it was a good idea to reach out to them via chat anytime a service issue shows up on the App. Nevertheless, a tech came to the house and advised that SOMEONE had switched the wires in our inverters (we have two inverters and two Powerwalls). Like some bandit would come to my house and do that. Anyway, things were fixed and now our numbers are through the roof. Beautiful production. Buthow do we get back nearly 7 months of crappy production? And how do you value the energy certificates that we wont get but were going to rely on for the winter? I guess we will just be paying our monthly solar financing AND power bills. **************** indicated they were not responsible for a poor performing inverter - yet their crews did the installation! Elon, your company really needs to do better. I assure you, based on this experience, I will NOT be purchasing any Tesla products in the future. I am so disappointed. @ElonMusk

I've had nothing but problems with this company. My panels haven't been working for going on 6 months now, and they keep rescheduling the service. They didn't even bother contacting me to let me know the guy wasn't going to show up when he was supposed to. And it took forever over the phone to find out what was going on. Absolutely terrible customer service--I wouldn't recommend ********************************************* to anyone!!!!!

Inverter failed less than one month after activation, after waiting about 5 months to activate the system due to non-incentive agreement rejections over system size; now have to wait 1 month plus for a technician to replace. Meanwhile Im paying the full power bill and and loan. FACTS: System install 12/2022, activated 5/2023, failed 6/2023 soonest service call 7/2023. Why did I chose Tesla solar the name, cost, and less likely to go out of business. Would I do it in hindsight absolutely not at this moment.

Worst solar company ever!!! Everything is done except waiting for final system activation, but this step was stuck for more than 3 months, and now still not solved.
