1 starIf I could leave a zero star review, I would. We made the mistake of buying the warranty at the suggestion of a repairman who came to work on the freezer part of our refrigerator. (Makes me wonder if he got a kickback.) We have had the same experience as many of those who already left reviews. Company did fine the first few months. I think this was to draw you in more and create a false sense of having a good warranty. However, when we kept having problems with the freezer not freezing then the refrigerator starting to fail in keeping things cold, we got the runaround. They would schedule appt then cancel via text on the day of appt. Message was always the same - technician is not available. They did this 5 times from May 6 to June 30. They stretch it out with rescheduled appts so they can continue to get the monthly payments. When you call & you are lucky enough to get a person, you get the runaround. No supervisor available to help. When my husband asked them to authorize payment of a new refrigerator, they said they could not do that until technician says refrigerator is not repairable. Husband asked how that could be done when technician never shows up. We finally had to buy a new refrigerator. I called to cancel warranty & was told we would have to pay $229 to cancel. This was for the discount we had received in the beginning and parts for which they had parts. It was cheaper to let them charge another months payment. I did cancel the auto renew. We cancelled warranty and will be filing suit in small claims court to try and recover most of the money we spent on this WORTHLESS appliance warranty. Our advice is DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY!!! IT IS A BIG RIP OFF!!!!!Review fromIsela F

1 starBBB, why are you letting this company be accredited by you? They are a scam!! And it's making you look TERRIBLE. My parents have been without a fridge for over 2 months! Each time a "technician" is supposed to go over to look at the fridge it gets cancelled and rescheduled because 1) the "parts have not arrived or 2) the technician is unavailable. How can the parts be unavailable if NO ONE has ever come to look at the fridge. My heart breaks because its 2 elderly people without a fridge having to throw food away and going to the grocery store daily on a fixed budget. And since they are elderly, they don't understand AI and getting on a computer to contact Sears. No wonder Sears is going out of business. They don't care about their products or about human decency. They just keep giving them the run around. I've tried to help them but I keep getting the same run around from this company. It's just such a sad and frustrating situation.Review fromHELEN T

1 star******************. Please be aware!! They came for a service call for my stove, charged me 140 dollars and never followed through for me to proceed with the work order. After many hours of trying to get in touch with anyone other than a bot, customer service attempted to send me three more technicians in 3 days one who stood me up . I lost three days of work because each tech demanded another $140 when **************** was supposed to tell them that there is no additional diagnostic charge. Absolutely horrible company who will scam you. I basically lost $140 and three days of work. I would never recommend this company to anybody.Review fromRosario C

1 starABSOLUTE ** HORRIBLE, NIGHTMARISH, FRUSTRATING, UNBELIEVABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY AND EXPERIENCE!I have been without a refrigerator since 6/14/25 and its now 7/4/25. I had a tech come out on 6/14/25 evaluated the problem and the tech ordered parts. Mind you I have received the parts at my home and informed numerous Sears employees via phone call that the parts were delivered to my home. Repair appointments have been cancelled and rescheduled NUMEROUS times by their AI system not me. Techs have been no shows to appointments twice now. On one appointment after calling I was told tech said customer was unavailable; how is that when I didnt received a call, text, or email. Just like other reviews its impossible to get through to a live person. So I escalated by sending an email on 7/1/25. Later on7/1/25 ****** from Sears Executive offices reached out gave apologies and that shes escalated my situation and will have someone in warranty **** assigned to get my situation resolved and that my case has been made a priority. On 7/2/25 I then get a call from Roadian B. from warranty **** and she confirmed that my case is now a priority. Roadian confirmed with repair and dispatch that my latest appointment on 7/3/25 I would have a tech come out mid morning. On 7/3/25 I checked status and called numerous times and was told I am still on schedule and 1 stop away. Called ****** and she was supposed to have Roadian call me. No more calls from anyone at Sears. I was 1 stop away all day 7/3/25, literally I checked status at 9pm and was still 1 stop away. Today 7/4/25 I receive text message and email from Sears stating they noticed that my service request date already passed and a link to do what AGAIN you guessed it RESCHEDULE not by my choice. By this point Sears should just let me have the parts I can call someone else to repair my refrigerator and Sears pay the labor cost of another company. Ridiculous!Review fromMarilyn T

1 starI have been without my fridge since June 6. The first (and only) Sears technician came on June 12, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts needed, and collected over $1,000 from me for the parts and repair. JUNE 12. I was scheduled for the completion of the repairs on June 16, June 19, June 26, and July 3. FOUR APPOINTMENTS SET AND CONFIRMED. FOUR APPOINTMENTS CANCELLED BY SEARS AND RESCHEDULED WITHOUT ANY REASON. And there is no way to get to a LIVE PERSON to address the situation. I cannot believe that A&E/Sears is so unreliable. My fridge is still not repaired, though the parts are sitting in my garage just waiting for the service to come through.I have tried every gambit I can come up with to get the technician to come, and every time am disappointed at the last minute when Sears cancels and reschedules. I was given no paperwork - told that I would get the invoice when the repair was completed. No reason to doubt Sears, right? Now that they have my money up front, I can't really call another service either. I am trapped.I lied on a call and said I was going to order parts, but I was simply transferred to someone in ***** who GUARANTEED that I was their priority for today. I tried the same ploy again after the cancellation and said that if the repairs weren't done today I wanted a full refund of my money. The girl simply said, "Sorry. All we can do is schedule appointments."I will NEVER rely on anything remotely associated with Sears again. This has caused so much loss of food, so much expense for bags of ice, and so much frustration!Sent from ******* ******Review fromLucas M

1 starTransformco (Sears/*****) should just call it quits already!!!! They clearly don't care to keep the brand alive.... Tried to call ********* for order help since it was suggested on the website for accessibility.... Well it just tells you to go to ************************** to manage your order then it hangs up on you... There is never any customer service representatives when you call.... It's like they have no one ever working to help and to be compliant for people with disabilities for accessibility, you would think they would have at least a few people to help....but NO? I personally don't have a disability but they have to be compliant with certain laws to provide accomodations....they clearly don't care so believe what you may but this company is completely lost.....and gone...Review fromJay M

1 starNegative review if I could. Sears Home Services is TRASH! I had an issue with my dryer, scheduled a technician for the next day. Noticed on the confirmation that the address was incorrect, so I called to correct it (mind you the address was auto-populated; I didnt enter). When I called EVERYTHING is **, could not speak to a person. Went thru ** to update address, ** confirmed address was correct. Got a call from technician just prior to arrival, and he was at the incorrect address. I explained and he said tough luck the ** doesnt update to their jobs. I took time away from my job to be there, I said he needed to get here since he was just 10 minutes away. Reluctantly he said fine. He shows up and as completely unprofessional as you can be said he was cancelling the appointment, even though he was standing in front of me. I said it was unacceptable, can I have a number to a supervisor or live customer service **** And he laughed saying everything is **... even they cant reach a live person. Sorry is ****** is representing your company you have issues. He promptly left, no apology, no empathy, nothing. I spent 30 minutes later in the day trying to navigate the website to get a number to a live person, or even send an email... nope, nothing. All ** and a maze of links that send you in circles. My time is valuable, no wonder the once proud Sears name is trash.Beware before you setup an appmt with this company.Review fromJim B

1 starunbelievable poor customer service! IA Robot to talk to. Schedule service with many texts and emails making sure you know the date of service and giving you the opportunity to cancel/reschedule. Then, delays, delays, delays for parts are out of stock (even though Sears Parts.com has them) Then after a month or so you get the technician will be arriving emails and texts all week long but on the appointment day, the technician is not available...so sorry...we will reschedule.
It's a scam...run away!!!Review fromWilliam D

1 starOrdered parts, never got them. Was promised different dates but never delivered. When I called them they hung up on me or refused to transfer me to a supervisor. They even would not hang up so I could not leave a review.Review fromSarah P

1 starI should have read these reviews before! I’m having the same problem with this so-called “business.” How in the world did they get BBB accredited? I changed my whole schedule to be able to stay home to wait for the repair person. The site showed that arrival time was supposed to be 9:14 am. I kept writing and calling, asking why they still weren’t at my house. At 4:58, two minutes to the end of the time frame, they rescheduled for another day. I cancelled - no way am I wasting another day on this kind of incompetence.
