Complaint is on Hyundai Matteson ,Traded in my wife's 2020 GMC Acadia, they offered $20,000 for the trade and we paid about $5000 to pay off the remainder of the loan with that current lender which was navy federal. We were originally told the car was worth *****. When we went to sign the amount added up to $38000. So we question and said why did the price jump so high? The dealer and the financial person stated no you are wrong for have the fully loaded car. After being there over 6 hours we decided to go with it. But after going through the financial again there were $5000 that was not on the contract and the number again did not add up. So I looked up the car on their site and it show Hyundai KONA green is between $27,000 -$28,000. We chatted the dealership as new customer and they said yes the car is the price on the site. If you are a student or Veteran you can get it even cheaper. So I went up to the dealership to discuss and no one could show me why I was charged more for the car because it was even in the contract itself. So the manager decided to ignore me for an hour then said no that's the right price. so my wife asked him to prove it and they could not explain. She also asked to see the fully loaded kona because we saw it was different than the one they pushed that we had. The fully loaded gear shift is completely different. They looked went to the backroom then came out with nothing but for us to file a complaint. We were charged $38,000 for a $27,000 car. Please help Paying $38,768.55 for a 2025 Hyundai Kona SEL FWD is well above the expected out-the-door price. Lets break it down:?? Expected Fair Price (**********************. tax & fees)ItemTypical Amount MSRP~$25,700 Destination Fee~$1,270 Sales Tax (11% ************)~$2,966 Estimated Dealer Fees (TTL)~$500$1,000 Expected Total OTD~$30,500$31,500 Note: my total OTD was $38,768.55 and no one will explain why but they got uncomfortable when we asked and avoided the issue

I am rejecting this response because:
We did walk through the documents twice and was told the online cost was just that, the price of the car can be different once at the dealership. Even with the tax it should not jump from ****** to 38,000.

I went there April 26 to purchase a car but had to come back days later with deposit which I did the $500 . I was able to drive off the lot and signed appropriate documents. Get a call that the contact had to be revised so my husband and I went back May 30 to sign another contract . I called finance company ************ to get account number they stated they had been trying to reach dealership because Erie contract expired meaning dealership is at fault . So I contacted dealership June 23 what is going on and they said they will contact bank , the dealership tab my credit on June 9 , 23, and 24 without my authorization and now I got hit again . Mind you they ran it back in April 26 like 9 times . No one gave me an update I called and have to return the vehicle hoping I get my deposit back . They dont answer called or return messages. I have been driving a vehicle that is not under contact and paying insurance for it .

Ms. Gonzalez  signed all required documents including credit application, spotting agreement, and finance rider
Post-sale: Our finance department identified documentation needed re-execution for proper loan processing
We made multiple calls and had three managers speak directly with Ms. *************** ******** acknowledged the need to return promptly to re-sign documents
Despite our efforts, she did not return for three weeks
By the time she returned, the original financing approval had expired
Ms. ********** signed credit application, spotting agreement, and finance rider provided explicit authorization for credit inquiries and outlined the conditional nature of vehicle release pending final approval. When the original approval expired due to the delay, resubmission was necessary to secure alternative financing .World Hyundai made multiple attempts to contact Ms. ******** and accommodate her schedule. We operated within industry standards and the terms of the signed agreements. The three-week delay in returning to complete required documentation directly caused the financing approval to expire by the time the paperwork reached the finance company.
We made good-faith efforts throughout this process and remain committed to professional resolution of customer concerns.

Hello I am in desperate need of help. I purchased a used **** truck from Hyundai Matteson January. When I began to ride off the lot the engine light came on. Before I drove off I notified the dealership and they told me to bring back and would repair the problem because they were closing. I have been back to this service **** at least times 4 or more. Was told to leave and they would ship the truck to **** dealership to have the Engine Rebuilt at NO COST. 7 days later picked up Engine light back that evening. Called General Mgr who made several promises to get my truck working as it was SOLD with out working ENGINE. They had stop answering and I have no communication. Last Friday I was driving my three son and ENGINE WENT OUT. We were stranded and had to have the truck towed.I have paid 2 car notes even though I notified the fiance the same day after purchase this truck with bad engine.I can not get to work nor get kids to school. I went in 2024 around this time to see about a new vehicle with my husband ***** and we didn't like how long the process took and the amount we have to pay for the vehicle was to high over our budget, so we put down ****** dollars for the vehicle just to see if we want the vehicle, but we both decided we wanted to keep our vehicle and get some work done on it. I have contacted the business like 50 times to see how can i get the ****** dollars back but they said we can come there by our tires was messed up so i asked can the send a check and responded yes so i wanted 2 weeks and nothing came in the mail. I contacted again, no response and they was beating around the **** but if i don't get my money back i will file a small claims suite to get my money back and for the inconvenience

Purchased 2017 ***** Malibu 9/28/24 and a 24 month warranty. Warranty cost $2118. On 10/8/24 brought car back to dealer for grinding noise in rear. Was told new rear brakes and brake fluid flush needed and an oil change. Cost: $490 (not covered by warranty). Grinding noise was not totally gone. Did not bring car back to dealer. On April 3, 2025 my engine light came on and car would not accelerate. Car was towed to ****** ***** in ******* because I did not want to deal with World Hyundai any longer and ****** said they work with ******************. Was told TURBO needs to be replaced, PCV grommet and vacuum pump as well as front brakes/rotors and several other routine maintenance services to the tune of $6000. NONE OF WHICH WAS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY (including the turbo). On April 10th I had my car towed to a local auto repair shop which confirmed that all the above repairs needed to be done PLUS the rear brakes already needed replacing again and the calipers needed replacing. I called ****************** to cancel & refund my warranty. They said I had to call dealer. The dealer emailed me a form to fill out and email back to them and I am still waiting to hear. I have called the finance **** for status report and only get voicemail. I understand that any refund will be applied to balance owed on car. I think I at least deserve that. I did not return to World Hyundai because: mechanical condition of car sold to me. Also, inside of car had not been cleaned (food crumbs on floor and sticky substance in cup holders and in middle console), and during the sale, after giving down payment I was pressured to instead buy a brand new car and my family member was pressured to be a co-signer. Did not trust their repairs or wish to give them additional business or deal with them again.

When Mrs. ******** came in to get her vehicle serviced, she requested an oil change and a tire rotation. She  also requested to get service that was recommended to her on her last visit that she did not get which was which is the $456 that she is referring to. In addition to her oil change and tire rotation my service representative also informed her along with her tire rotation

It was recommended for her to get it a wheel alignment since she had not had a wheel alignment previously.  She agreed to the work and also signed off on the work. She knew she wanted to get the recommended service from her last visit in addition to her services for that day which is how the total came to $688 for her bill so she was completely aware of what her service charges would have been.

Our service manager also gave her a discount on her bill which she was ok with she paid her bill that day took her vehicle left.

On Jan ****** I went into World Hyundai Matteson with hopes of getting in a new vehicle. When I sat down with **** I explained to him about my credit score not being that good and that I was under contract with someone but looking to trade that vehicle in if possible. He told me that they would still be able to work with me. When he ran my information through I was informed that I would need a co-signer, so I provided one but he wasnt in town to complete the paperwork so I was told to come back when he was available. On Jan ******* we both came back and complete the application and I was told that I was approved for a ****** and would a down payment (at that time I was unable) but they also didnt have anything for 15k or under but when they do receive something they would call- which never happened (also that same day I did see a car on their site for under $******) . Anyways I would look on their site myself every two weeks or so to see if they receive new inventory, when I saw a vehicle in that range I would call and try to speak with someone to discuss my options and would get told that no one was available and I should receive a call back shortly but those callbacks never happened. Then again today 4/4/25 went onto the site, saw some vehicles under the approved price, I was then told by a nice lady that she spoke with **** and he said I needed a co-signer (I already had one and we both had signed for the loan with the $****** approval) I explained that to her again and she put me on another hold. She talked with **** again and he said something about my cosigner not being strong enough and that she would transfer me to speak with him. She transferred me and he didnt pick up ( I shouldve known that would happen) at this point I am confused as to why have a sign our names for a loan, say you will be in contact, keep changing the tune, and not contacting or even trying to communicate with the customer. If you all reply please respond with Facts

    Business Response

    Date: 04/11/2025

It is not just about the price of the vehicle there are other stipulations the bank considers as well based on the structure of the loan such as Loan to value, year, make, model and miles of the vehicle.

I have had issues with my 2020 Hyundai Palisade since I bought it used from World Hyundai. I was told that I had an extended warranty on my vehicle until ******* miles. Now I am being told that it is only until ****** miles. Additionally, my check engine light came on in January 2025. I took my car to the dealership and they told me that they took care of the repair necessary and cleared the check engine light that was illuminated. My check engine light came back on Saturday 3/15. I took my car to Auto Zone and they told me that the code was for the same issues I previously took my vehicle in for in January. When I went to the dealership with my vehicle today, I was told that no repairs previously took place in January and that the service department only cleared the code and didn't do any repairs. Since the repairs still need to occur, I would have to pay for the issues out of pocket since I am now around ****** miles. The dealership is refusing to honor the warranty they told me that I had and they are refusing to cover the repairs necessary, even though I brought this to their attention in January and the vehicle was originally brought in for service under ****** miles. Clearing a check engine light is not the same thing as completing the repairs that caused it to come on. The service associates that I spoke with no longer work there and I'm being told many conflicting things by the service department. In the last 6 months, I've had multiple issues with my vehicle including a replacement transmission that got fixed 2 years after if was brought to the service department's attention and after I still had to pay $800 out of pocket. This dealership is taking advantage of people to move cars off the lot and and not being held accountable for their actions.

Last minute calls and text and false advertising they kept calling me and telling me to come into the dealership I was approved. I have the textmessages everything just come in. Dont worry about it if you leave with a car then when you get there, they changed the whole time I explained them before I came, but I had no cosigner and what my credit look like, but they still insisted that I come in And guarantee that I will be leaving with the vehicle like I said I have the text messages and thats not what happened the salesman I was working for working with. On February17th I filled. out An application for an auto loan through **************** After submitting the application they match you with a dealership, I was matched with World Hyundai Mattssin. For a majority of the day on Tuesday, *****, the girl that I was working with via text and I communicated about the process and the steps to getting a car. I told ***** that I would absolutely under no circumstances becoming into the dealership unless I knew with 100% certainty I was gonna be leaving with a vehicle And I proceeded to tell her about my experience at their sister location in ****** a couple years ago, where I ended up taking an **** for hour and a half and spending several hours at the dealership only to conclude that I didnt have the proper documentation and that I wasnt going to be getting a car. Seemingly ***** was doing her due diligence and communicating with the powers that be within the dealership so that everyone knew about the previous situation andadditionally guaranteed me that I would be leaving with a vehicle because she had spoken with the finance manager and the general manager. So on Tuesday night, I took an **** to the dealership Only to slowly realize That *****, who doesnt even work with the dealership, but from home have been lying to me all along. Nobody had my bank statements in a file like she was not expecting me to ask for her like she said, my bank statements were not adequate documentation to prove income like she said, I essentially had to do most of the process over while I was at the dealership. The car salesman and the gentleman from the finance department, ****, keen to me and told me that they were able to get me approved, but it would only be for around $13,000 and told me they dont have any cars that are below that price and forced me to begrudgingly ask my sister to be a cosigner on the application, which she agreed to. When a dealership closed the decision was still pending in the system. Continued in a file.
