Feldco windows ** installed my windows . Sales man told me their service is lifetimes warranty. One of the windows in the kitchen has a huge leak and not installed **rrectly. I am requesting to fix it since more than two years but they never came back to do it . They just lie and lie . They received all the money and I dont owe them anything.Business Response

On July 13th, 2018, we bought 21 windows for our home. We paid $17,500.00 to Feldco windows and siding in total. We were told that Feldco is committed to not just satisfying but delighting their customers from installation to every call to customer service. They told us their ********************** were designed for the weather in the midwest to keep our home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, The windows were energy efficient and save us money on our energy bills. Also, that their windows would be installed properly and free of defects. They were installed by August 10th, 2018. We have had issues mainly with the 11 windows in our *******************. The windows are 75 1/2 in. tall and various widths, They replaced all 11 windows in October of 2022, because of wrong measurements of the windows, and the wrong screens were ordered. Since then the sashes have leaked air and did not fit right in the frames. On 12/23/2022, we called manager *********************, there was air coming through windows and ice forming. On 01/01/2023 an inspection was finally ordered and on 01/06/2023 **** came and said sashes were definitely leaking air and would talk to manager. After 7 phone calls and leaving messages wondering what resolution would be to problem, **** came on 02/14/2023 and said we needed all new upper and lower sashes because they are all bowed and do not fit correctly and he would check into the full screens we had not received yet. On 04/01/2023, ********************* and **** came with new sashes, installed 11 of the 22 sashes but none of them fit right or solved the problem. We have called 7 times to multiply people trying to get an answer in the last 2 weeks and have not gotten one. We have not been delighted with customer service or the product, we have not saved money on our energy bills, the windows have not been installed correctly and have defects.Business Response

I got 11 windows installed in October of ****, was given wrong information about installation and the windows that were installed all leak cold air and had ice inside the house, made several attempt before the person that needed to call, called me back, and stated he never got my calls but I wrote the dates down. The installer had caulk everywhere and I window was damaged on install. They sent someone out and only want to replace one window clean up some caulk, and tell me the ice on the windows is from moisture in the house. Sent the second guy out for a moisture test which did not show moisture conditions, but do not want to repair the windows from the leakage. I was told these windows were to keep the cold out in winter and heat out in the summer, the sales person also told me they would cover a metal plate over my windows which they didnt, that I have on tape considered false advertisement to make a sale and I never signed off on the paperwork when they sent the guy out for the final measurements, after I cancelled because I had to work late and they sent him anyway even though I had questions that never got answered. Also asked several times for paperwork to go over before my deadline and didnt get it until it was too late.Business Response

On Feldco installed 7 windows costing $7,484. The windows have never worked properly. We didnt open any windows because we had the air conditioning on. So it wasnt until later in the summer that we noticed that when we close a window the top pane comes down! ! ***** came down to inspect and decided that we needed different balancers. ***** **** come out. He put a balancer on one window and ( we found out later)reported that he had fixed the problem. It did not!! After emails and phone calls on ***** **** and **** came and we showed them a video of a Kleenex blowing in a window because with the storms and windy weather now we have howling in the windows and can feel the breeze. I showed them a video that I had taken of a Kleenex blowing in front of a window. Their decision is to put in a new sash that they will order. Time goes on and I havent heard from them and they werent responding to my phone calls. Finally was able to talk to them and *****, the operation manager, ****, and ***** came out on ****. They put a new sash in one window, adjusted the jam jacks on 3 windows, and put a balancer in one. Later that day I received a glowing email from ***** stating what they had done and that our problems were solved. That email was a joke! I responded back that his email sure looked good on paper. The problems were NOT solved. The windows still dont work properly and arent sealed. Our house certainly wasnt energy efficient this winter. We have repeatedly asked for replacement windows or our money back so we could have another window company install new windows. We are so frustrated and dont know what to do. Apparently ***** thinks his job is done as we havent heard from him since **** even though in response to his last email I told him that nothing was fixed. I can only talk to him in emails because on the phone there is so much double talk. Hes very smooth! HELP!Business Response

We purchased Feldco windows and doors for our home on 3/22/2021. The salesperson was adamant about the lifetime warranty on Feldco products with no questions asked. These windows and doors were very expensive actually over $30'000 for our home. The installation on this job was botched from the beginning and **** the previous service manager came to our home and apologized for the poor quality on the installation and reiterated that everyone of the products were covered under a lifetime warranty,The Patio door glass was scratched during shipment or during installation and was replaced last year, This year during the cold snap in December we noticed the same patio door glass was starting to fog. On Feb 20, 2023 I called service for Feldco and spoke with ***** and she said she would have a technician come by on Feb 21, 2023 for a price of $129.95. I questioned her on this price as it was just $79.95 several weeks ago. When we bought these products we were told that the service calls after the first year would be $25.00. What a rip off. Anyway the technician was very knowledgeable and said that the seal was bad and caused the glass to foul. He would proceed with ordering a new ************ on Feb 22, 2023 ***** called and said that she and the service manager had discussed the problem and would help me order a glass panel with me paying for it! This should have been covered under warranty. This is a complete joke, not only have we bought these products for our home but we have sold this product to our son and a good doctor friend of my wife. now I regret it. 2/17/23 was contacted by ***** about the windows we purchased two years ago. We had problems them, I contacted BBB and out windows were finally installed. The call was from Feldco Warranty team was telling us that our windows were still under warranty and they wanted to know if all was well. Well my husband talked to them about how crappy these window are, that more air comes through these windows than the old windows. I have had to insulate these windows and my energy use and gone up 34%. When they mentioned that we would have to pay ****** for them to come out and look at these windows my husband lost it. They called back Sat. morning but still want us to pay that ****** for something they did not do. The worst experience I have ever had.Business Response

The General Manager of the office has called and emailed the customer numerous times since the complaint was filed. At one point, the Mr. answered the call but said he preferred the Mrs to be on the call as well and they would call back later. They did not call back later and have not since answered calls, returned messages, or replied to emails. The General Manager finally spoke to Mrs. and listened to the issues they have. He offered her a compromise to the trip fee, which she declined. Feldco is committed to servicing the windows under the terms of the warranty, which is attached. Trip fee is highlighted. While there were issues with the original installation, those were resolved at that time. It has been over 2 years since that was completed and have not heard any additional complaints since then until now. We have offered to compromise with the customer and whenever they should choose to accept the compromise, we are ready to service the windows.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Yes it has been two years but every number that was given was not them. I did not get a response until I put something on ********* yes two years later, and then the number that was given to me after that no one answered either. Out of the blue someone called my husbands number but by then we were done with Feldco. When I finally got through the general manager he still wanted to charge me, but I feel I should not have to pay them anything else. They did not do us right and I refuse to give them another dime. I would rather have my old windows back. I never had this much wind come through the old ones. We just wanted to update our windows not make them worse.

This company is taking Limited Liability for my garage door being torn up. The new one was not the right size after three people measured it. I purchased garage doors on 6/2022 and then remeasured them on 7/14/2022. on installation on 11/3/22 door was too little so, so it had to be recorded and measured again. Keep in mind they tore it loose. The whole three months during the winter I had to park outside. The door they laid up there had no electricity, and it will fall on someone if they touched it. Then the call came on 11/8 to schedule the installation. The date is 12/3 NO SHOW. It was rescheduled then 12/15 when they were a no-show again. Now, today2/8/23 they have no clue about appointments or calls. I have no working garage door due to them taking it apart on the first install date. You leave messages even to the person who sold this garage but no one wants to take responsibility and call you back.Business Response

I continue to have the same issues with my windows since 2013, several windows were replaced in the past under warranty because of bad installation since day one causing cold draft into my house and making my cost of gas increased during winter time. Supposedly they are energy efficient windows and I continue to have the same issues with some windows. These problems were pointed out to several technicians the past and the operations manager **********. Now they want to charge me a service fee and want me to buy different windows because they can't fix the problem now. I had to put window gaskets and some tape around the edges of some windows just to keep the cold draft from coming in during the cold degrease temperatures.Feldco needs to fix my existing recurring window problems and no I'm not paying one cent more to correct mistakes that cost me money throughout these 9 years.That's poor customer service after I spend $13,000 and paying them all at once for a horrible job they did since day one and It's been several weeks and no one has yet replied to my emails.Business Response

Company did roof repair on 11/2/22. Has been leaking, Tried to get them to come back, then did a couple of times. But as of today, when it is raining hard, the rain is not coming down the down spots so much be continuing to leak into house.Business Response

I had Feldco replace the door between my house and garage and 8 windows. The installers were subpar. The door installers failed to cut the paint next to the old door and took out a lot of paint above the door. While I am willing and able to repaint myself, I would not be complaining about this if the window installation had been done properly. Two issues with the window. The first was that while installing a window, the installer dropped the can of foam sealant which exploded all over the side of my house. It took Feldco about 5 months to replace the siding, but this was only after I complained loudly via phone calls, emails, and web chats. Even then, the folks I talked with made it sound like it was my fault. On December 23, we had a very cold blast with heavy wind. I ended up with wind coming in around the frame of the new windows causing a layer of frost to develop on them. While I certainly understand the probability of condensation, I should never have had the frost without the cold wind coming in around the windows. The tech they sent out tried to convince me that this was all "normal", but ***** is not normal on a properly sealed window! He finally agreed that the windows should have also been caulked on the inside. Two weeks later and NO communication! The windows have not been caulked and I am NOT a satisfied customer. I don't want to wait another 4 months for this job to be complete!Business Response
