Verifacts has emailed our business about an employee that does not and has not worked for us. in fact we are a self employed business meaning we work for ourselves, we do NOT pay or have employees. Today, September 27, 2022, this company (VeriFacts LLC) requested personal employment status and employee information about me via telephone. They stated that they need to verify my employment and collect information and that the call was being recorded but would not state who they are calling on behalf of. VeriFacts LLC has acquired my personal information without my authorization or consent. Working for a law firm, I was unaware of what exactly the employment verification was for and having clients waiting for me, this was a complete invasion of privacy. I would like any further communication with VeriFacts LLC, myself and any other company that has or has not retained VeriFacts LLC for my information to cease and desist IMMEDIATELY. Also, any and ALL of my personal information is to be deleted/withdrawn from all of their systems immediately and not be shared with anyone or any company.Business Response

This company contacted my office to verify employment and used a name I haven't used in 9 years. I divorced and re-married and they called to verify employment for ***************************. I was last known as that in June, 2013. They obviously don't have updated records and there is no reason to verify my employment. I have no longer have any accounts in that name so I would like to know who and why they are verifying my employment. This is a violation of privacy.Business Response

Verifacts called my place of employment asking another employee personal information about me. They did not give information on why they were calling or why they were asking personal information about me. They asked one of my coworkers to confirm my date of birth and ask if I went by other last names, etc. I do NOT want this company calling my place of employment asking random employees who answer the phone information about me. I did not authorize this and am unsure of who this company is and why they called my place of employment.
