I bought a car from the metro dc branch ,and they scamed me big time ,the auction said that the car is run and drive but when the driver tries to pick up the car is not drivable it has transmission problems ,I tried to contact the manager and no response left too many messages, and finally they said nothing they can do ,shame on them .IAA

I will be taking them to Small Claims Court for a vehicle 2019 *** they towed from me two weeks ago in ********* county. They wrote me a check and misspelled my wife's name on it so now I have a check I can't cash. I've called almost daily and left multiple voicemails at least. Hours on hold. They won't return my voicemails. So now I consider my car stolen. They have my car, and I still need to be paid for it.IAA

I won an auction in the Phoenix location. Went to pay and my banker told me I could pay with a cashier's check which would be cheaper than paying $35 for a wire transfer. Got the check, went to BofA and deposited the check. Then, the bank told me that account ONLY accepts wire transfers. I then called the ******* office and they told me I could take the check to a local IAA office in ***** and make the deposit there.I drove down to their office to make the deposit. There, the attendant told me, "If you pay at this office, there is a $20 fee for paying with a check!" I was like "Wow, I have to pay $20 on top of paying you for this ********* you do. So I give her my debit card and she comes back with a charge of $20.98! So another $0.98 was added as a "cash discount fee invalid" and I was CHARGED for using a debit card. That's like wanting pay for your groceries and being told, "Of we charge a $20 fee if you pay for those in person!" AT NO TIME were any of these fees disclosed to me or posted ANYWHERE in their office! I am amazed there wasn't a fee to "Walk into and out of our office!" These people nickel and dime you for everything it seems. I've NEVER heard of charging a fee to MAKE A PAYMENT!IAA

Unfortunately, we are unable to absorb the costs without creating operational issues and ultimately hindering your ability to find, bid on and buy vehicles. We attempted to keep the increase as low as possible, which is why it is only a $20 adjustment. We are unable to predict what fuel or labor costs could look like in the future. IAAI is a great company, but I recently had a bad experience at the ***************************************** on January 9th. When the purchased car was being loaded, they broke bumper cover on it. I immediately reported this to customer service, but the manager told me with a sweet smile that yes, it's our fault, but we can refund you a small percentage of the cost of the part, which is $18.75. It is also unclear how they calculated it. Why does the company admit fault and I have to pay? I filled out a case on the website, after some time I sent email, but I never received an answer. Only the manager of this branch recently emailed asking if I still want the $18.75 back. I'm sorry, but that's dishonest, to say the least.IAA

Worst IAA branch iv done business with!! They sold me a car they said Runs and drives. when they brought it out on the forks they hit a huge hole and the car bounced **** near a foot off the forks. checked oil (was clean) and started the car (ran good), put in to Drive and wouldn't even try to move. when asking about the condition the lot boy told me (very shady like) "they" write his pay checks so he does what they say. I refused ownership and left the car. dealing with a third party broker (not iaas fault but just more salt in wound) it would cost me more to run it back through the auction vs just take the car. Tried calling several times to get ahold of **** the manager, who I was told is well aware of the situation and paper work is on his desk, still never heard from him. So between a rock and a hard place, I have to take the bad and move on. Now this is where it goes from shady to straight malicious. my driver goes back to pick up the car, now there is holes in both motor and ****** pan, not a drop of oil in the car, tie rods broken that where previously fine, and all kinds of damages from them handling the car, which they informed us they weren't liable for since the car is sold on a "as checked in condition" and anything that happens between check in and sale date is not their problem. They flat out lied about the runs and drives condition then purposely damaged the car. The staff was rude before my initial problem and got worst as the situation escalated. Zero stars should be an option. On another note, IAA the flint branch wont let you come in for pre inspection. so whos to say any thing they list is as they claim.IAA

I recently sold my car with ******* and they have been giving me the background. IAA is their 3rd party partner. I was given a check by their tow truck driver. Ever since then Ive been trying to backs the check. I been back in forth with both ******* and IAA. Going on 3 weeks no resolution. They took my vehicle and I was not compensated with the amount of $1088. I honestly feel like they stole my vehicle.IAA

I cant even rate a star because this certain branch (*************) is an absolute joke. I had to put up with a bipolar narcissist manager that made me and multiple employees feel like they werent wanted as an employee. Multiple employees have walked out on this manager including me due to the disrespect he showed to his employees. He wouldnt use face to face interaction as part of his management, instead he would insult us over radio or phone. This company doesnt require a cell phone but he does, thats how he responds instead of meetings. He also used food as a way of apologizing after he acted up over phone or radio due to personal feelings. I dont recommend this job to anyone no matter the position as long as he is the manager.IAA

Don't ever buy anything from iaai hi fees and if they say run and drive don't believe it these guys will say or do anything to peddle there junk I would give this place no stars but they make you give 1 star to leave a review and is it another buyer bidding against you or is it the insurance companyIAA

I was having trouble with the website adding my watched cars to the live auction and on the day of the auction, my car was not flagged correctly and I ended up bidding on the wrong car which I won. Now, I should have noticed that it was messed up but both were the same make and model and because the website wasn't working properly, I am still responsible for a car I never wanted. The person in the email told me my issue was resolved and that the website has been working. Well, neither is true in my case and they are obviously only interested in getting their cut (which in my opinion is a rip off) .and NOT interested in resolving any issues. I would give a negative rating if I could.IAA
