Original quote was $460. When they got there we decided to add a few items. I anticipated the bill to go up to $700. When they were done they said it would be $940. I was upset but paid it. When I get my credit card bill it showed over $1400. When I called to complain the guy calls me a liar since their was more than quoted.Coffey Bros. Moving

Beware before agreeing to go with this company!I was quoted twice by an ******* that the move would cost $681. However, the day of the move after my items were in the truck, I was handed an invoice of $1,078.I have called the company a few times to resolve and all I am given are snarky, rude remarks that there charges are correct but if I want to keep complaining I can wait to hear back from the claims **** which can take up to 120 days or more. Mind you, my items were just going into their storage unit and my move from start to finish took less than 40mins.Yet I was charged a $125 travel fee and a moving time of 3 hour 15 minute moving time when my original quote was for 2hour 30 minutes which was PLENTY of time allowed. I even argue it took less than 2hours total. For all I know the movers stopped at ********* on their way! From my understanding and what I was told my this company was that the travel fee allotted for them to drive to my location and for them to drive back to their storage. That time should not be double charged and tacked onto my moving time!! Also I was charged over $150 in materials that they told me were included in the original quote. PS: only one mover did a majority of the work while the other waited downstairs yet was charged for 2 movers so it would have taken even less than 40 minutes. I get an estimate is an estimate but $400 difference?? Come on guys. Do better. So slimy and shady.Coffey Bros. Moving

06/14/2024. Zero stars worst company I've ever came across!!! I was told to pay 290 deposit then he gave me a estimated amount if 540 I said well. I can pay all that now, he wouldn't let me pay the full amount the day of the move they came and took apart my bed that wasn't needed the bed Frame could easily be picked up and put on the truck. I told the salesman that when they pick up there will be an elevator available for them but when it comes time to deliver they would have to take the stairs he said not a problem the mover came dropped off 3 boxes then told me here is the total for the move i told him move all my stuff in then we can work on the bill he insisted that I pay the bill now before they go any further the bill jumped from $540 to $1090!!! My mouth dropped I said wt*!!!! How???? They came up with all kinds of B.S. HOLDING MY FURNITURE HOSTAGE TILL THEY GOT PAID! money was paid but 2 days later the cable guy comes to install my internet I turn on my tv to find they cracked the screen!!! Now they owe me 1000 dollars for my tv! Never in life deal with this bogus company!Coffey Bros. Moving

I called the company and they offered a $500 estimate to move from my 1 bedroom apartment from the ********************** area to go about 25 minutes away. There were a few items I needed to add to the moving list and I advised the sales guy of this and he mentioned how the price shouldn't change too much. I had a bad feeling about the sales guy his name is ***************************** but I already provided a $290.00 deposit and I was pretty much locked in with this moving company. I lived alone and they weren't taking too many things, they were not even moving my bed because I got rid of it before the move as I was buying a new one. The movers were fine, but they did not know English well so when they called their main hub it took them 30 minutes to figure out how much the move would be (mind you, you are paying these guys hourly). I thought it would be maybe 600 or 700, since the quote is never the actual price most of the time. I was told it was 1100 dollars!! I spoke with the person the mover was talking too since they were having communication issues and there was so much confusion. I was so upset, how does a $500 dollar quote go up to $1100? They are not moving a bed, the apartment I was moving into had a reserved elevator just for them, so the guys did not have to go up any flights of stairs at the destination, and most of my boxes I took in my own car. This moving company is filled with scam artists and over charging customers. AFTER the move, my glass table was damaged as well. They take advantage of people and their business practices are horrendous. Please steer away from this AWFUL SCAMMY business. You guys should be disgusted in how you do business and ******* you are literally a waste of a sales person, you have no idea what you are talking about. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY AND READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE TRANSPARENT AND ACCURATE ONES!!!!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!Coffey Bros. Moving

I talked to this company to move at the last minute and they said they could do it. They'd be there between 1pm and 4pm. After so many excuses they sent someone at 720pm. Moving an hour away and the two guys were awesome quick, polite. Got done around 920pm. Called their office and they were very rude said we moved you time start when they get there till they leave. Not giving me apology for not honoring their promise. Said we moved you!! 930pm was not my idea of good customer service. And when ask if we could get compensated some how for the the trouble they gave us he said $20! But never got that they charged me twice fir the move. Called the owner and he hung up on me. Text he call right back.. never heard from him. Called to have them fix the charges and they haven't done anything..very rude company. The guys that moved me need raises they did an awesome job..Just want to put this out there because they shouldn't be in business if they can't keep their promise or handle customers problems..Coffey Bros. I have some grave concerns in regards to deceit, billing, and property damage. I went into our home and I asked the gentlemen what happened to the light and he stated, Oh, we took off to move the furniture, but we will put it back up I was quoted $1,953.00 for the move The movers moved our items to the new house and before the moving off of the truck began, ***** stated that there was a contract that had to be done or the furniture could not get moved off the truck. He showed me his Ipad and showed me a total for the bill $2,678.75; and I took a picture of what was on the ipad ( at first) I was struggling to get it transferred. It took me about 1 hour to get everything set up and then ***** suggested *****.After the move was completed he then changed the bill to $2,826.44 which I am also attaching and- I paid it. I was extremely confused why it was changed in under 1 hour?!After the struggling with the Venmo all I had was cash and told him I had $339 for the tip Edgar then said, whoa, whoa, we had talked about a %20 tip. My husband then stated that $339 was a good them and then he stated well, your wife walked about a 20% tip so my husband ******* the rest. I was then was pressured to write a ****** review as he would not leave until I did so due to the office wanting to see them and told me to mention all of their names. Lastly, property damage was discovered. The movers shattered our entryway light in the home and lied to me outright when I asked then what happened to light. I understand that I signed a waiver that property can break, but intentional hiding, lying, and sneaking in a different story. I came home to clean our home and found pieces of glass in the entryway. My husband looked in the garbage and found more glass in the garbage. I was charged an astronomical amount upon arrival to the move of our home before they move the items and then was given a final amount for a completely different amount a third time. 1 starUnethical business practices and poor service. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. Charged us double of our quote and held our belongings hostage on the truck until we paid (with the credit card service fee)Did not plan enough truck space for all of our belongings. We had to hire another company to move the remainder. Told us they did not use used boxes because the integrity of the boxes weren't 100%. Then they used the used boxes from other jobs. (Boxes were labeled, not by us. See photo). Then Charged us for moving boxes. ******** took an extra hour and a half (double the time) of time to drive from A to B. (And then we were charged an extra hour at the end of the night..)They also left boxes (and charged us for them) as well as garbage at the old house ******** did not move all the large pieces where they needed to go. (See photos)******** did not assembled all the furniture they disassembled for the move (see photos)Crew member smelled like pot. Prices in the moving house. We asked them not to smoke/vape in the new house. ******** broke the security sensor on the front door Damage on multiple walls. We JUST painted the whole house. 1 starI had the same experience as the others on here. The final total was more than DOUBLE the estimate. The only explanation given is that it took longer to wrap my furniture. I gave a full, detailed inventory before the estimate was given, yet the estimate had no correlation to how much time it would actually take. They charged me for packing when the only packing done was the items they dissembled (which of course was also an extra fee). Additionally, when I booked, I had an extensive conversation about fees. I asked about hidden charges, etc. Only AFTER I paid my deposit did they bother to tell me about disassembly fees. I also pay for their time to disassemble. The entire experience has been horrendous. 1 starSCAM ALERT!!!! I wish I could give zero stars because they were just that bad. I was quoted $616-$775 but that’s not what I got charged by the end of the move I had to pay $1400 for a 1bdrm move. First thing they were 1hr and 25min late as soon as they walk through the door things started to change new charges everywhere. When I tried discussing this with Ernest he wouldn’t get back on the phone. When they started to move the items the guys were moving so slow to add extra time to the move. I was told by Ernest I could help but can’t get on the truck to make things go fast they wouldn’t allow us. 1 starCan pretty much corroborate all of the reviews here. We were given a quote for our move and it then given a bill (before they were finished, when they were billing by the hour) for more than double the quote. They "estimated" it would take another 2 hours to finish when it took ****************************************************** Zelle, which makes sense given they steal money from people and that money is harder to get back than if you file a claim with your credit card company. Additionally, they will throw spare things into a box and charge you $25/box. We clearly instructed them to only move the larger furniture as we would be moving things on our own as well. They took their sweat time wrapping our furniture in saran wrap prior to loading. We were over our estimated time before we even left to the new address. Contacted them about the *********** and said they would file a claim so I'm sure we'll never see our money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
