      We reserved a car and pre-paid the insurance ahead of time to find that there were no cars. This left us in a panic as our travel plans relied on us having a car. We ended up finding something somewhere else last minute but ended up paying a lot more than we budgeted for the car. We also missed our evening plans because of how late we left the airport. Lastly, the person who I spoke to in the office acted like it wasnt a big deal because we could get a refund for the portion that we paid. She acted like this happens all the time. It happened to someone else who was about to board the shuttle to pick up their car as well so this wouldnt shock me. Why does ACE think this is okay? People invest a lot into their travel and something like this can ruin a whole trip. This is unacceptable business.

      Wish I did my research before booking here. Two days into our trip, while driving on a highway the car shuts off and an error comes on saying Malfunction was able to pull over to a safe place and call ACE. To then be told since we didnt take their insurance we would have to tow the car back ourselves for an exchange and will get reimbursed. Dealt with *****, who was very unprofessional and unhelpful. Stated that shes closing up at 8pm and if we dont get there before then we would have to wait till the next morning. She was not willing to wait a few minutes after 8pm! We decided to just wait it out till the next morning to tow the car which we then was helped by ****** who in deed was helpful. As for the reimbursement, the manager *********** told us thats not happening! Stay safe and away from this company, pay the extra bucks and book with a higher rated company.

      Ridiculous game of trying to upsell insurance I have never had such a difficult time trying to rent a car Stay away!!!!!There is also an overwhelming smell of *********.

      Ace Car rental in ******* is probably some of the worst scamming people. I had originally booked a car for 16$ a day and then I found that they have a special going for 15$ a day so I booked it again. So instead of giving me a car for the down grade I booked they said I upgraded and then didnt tell me how much it cost for the car seat. And on top of that . I declined the insurance and they told me ok . Then they told me I that the deposit is 300$ and had me sign the agreement. They never took the deposit only took 268. Which I thought was the deposit. They ussually dont charge you until you bring the car back . But they charged that right when I picked up . This is the worst car rental place I have ever been and they dont do anything to resolve their mistakes. I highly recommend going to another company to rent your next vacation car. We dont need to come home to charges we didnt approve of and come back more stressed then we left. - ******

In regards to the upgrade charge, this was applied due to you declining the truck that was offered as you reserved a dealer's choice. Reviewing your account I see that you accepted on your rental agreement the toll pass and liability insurance along with the child seat. Per our terms and conditions, there is a security deposit and this is charged at the beginning of the rental along with the cost for the rental itself.       AVOID THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY AU ALL COSTS!Bait and switch operation. Booked a fully prepaid car rental through ******** with Ace and they switched me to Drivo and processed to say that not only was my rental only partially paid but they also refused to take the primary insurance coverage that my credit card provides. Instead they charged me almost as much as I paid upfront for my rental, which was very clearly marked as the full amount.On top of that the agent was very rude - rolling his eyes at me and refusing to show me a copy of the rental agreement contract before I would sign blindly. I had to withhold my credit card and then he miraculously was able to produce a printed copy for me to look over before signing despite telling me multiple times that he did not have the ability to print an unsigned contract.

      A complete scam. We reserved a car with Ace Rental A Car at ********************* Airport. First, they said the shuttle bus with pick up us in **** minutes. It took 25 minutes!!! The worse part is that they wanted us to show we have rental car insurance. I called my insurance company. The insurance company told me that is only for providing a rental car when we get an accident. For car rental, our insurance can be transferred to cover the rental car. When I realized that and talked to Aces agent, they completely changed the story. This time, they asked me to show the proof that my current auto insurance can be transferred to cover the rental car. I have never seen anyone like that!!!

      Terrible service in ********* ** and ********** ** they do not honor your reservation and try to keep your money regardless of what they give you 2x couples and myself were told that the Cars we requested were not available regardless of our methods of payment I do not recommend to anyone with other choices

      Rude, unhelpful staff that were just languishing round while the line kept multiplying. Weird unclear policy that seems dependant on the person helping you. My insurance policy had to show each amount of charge per renters insurance and what the payout amount for them to take my insurance all the while pushing their own basic and advanced insurance. Go someplace else, I know I will next time.

      I am completely and utterly disappointed with this companys policy on not accepting debit cards for the actual purchase but you accept them for the initial reservation which makes no sense to me. If they are not accepted then they shouldnt even be accepted in the initial reservation period. When people are trying to use your service through a third party company its hard to tell if your policy is truly understood meaning its misleading after the purchase. I used my works so called discount company ***************** and it turns out its more than other options and because my debit card was accepted at the initial reservation point which should have been rejected Im out of my money. No refunds at all. Ace Rentals are misleading and thieves. So now Im out of my hard earned money and no car rental.

      Prepaid reservations through a third party can be purchased with any card type however per our terms and conditions it does list what card type are accepted by the location you are renting from prior to creating the reservation. While I understand the frustration with not being able to rent, any refunds for this booking would need to come from *****************. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you again in the future.
