      I rented a car on July ***** 2022. On the 25th I was involved in an accident where I was not at fault, filed a police report which confirmed I was not at fault and returned the car with all documentation. A few weeks later I received a bill for $2606 stating that I had to pay even though the police report showed I was not at fault. A few days later I received another balance of $*******. When I spoke to Claims representative of ace rental car handling my case, *********************** I asked her why I was responsible for the balance and not the person at fault she stated they only paid out $1372 so you are responsible for the other half and I asked why didnt they pay it? Her response was, they just didnt. She was rude and unprofessional.She provided me with no explanation whatsoever. I ended up calling the adjuster of the 3rd party that was at fault for the accident, they stated the $1372 that was paid for the car covered all damages and that Ace rental car was charging ******* for miscellaneous items therefore they were not willing to pay. After going back and forth with the 3rd party they agreed to pay an additional ****** which brought my balance to 282. They said the remaining balance is for administrative and adjuster fees. Although appreciative of the payout, I do not understand why Im still liable for this amount considering Im not at fault for the accident.

      Tricked me into purchasing their liability insurance (I was in a hurry and had waited 1.5 hours in their never ending line with inefficient clerks) when I already had insurance coverage and refused to give me a refund when I showed proof I had coverage after. The ***************** was so rude and condescending. I talked to the manager ***, who also refused to give a courtesy credit for deceptive practices on their part. First and last time using them. You have my money this time.but lost my future money for a lifetime. Stay away!

      We rented a car in ****** in June. On the way to drop the car off, a rock was thrown onto the windshield and chipped it. We were told that we would be charged (part through our insurance) and that it should be around $400. In the end we were charged around $2000! Including our $500 deductible, our out of pocket charge was almost $900! This includes $120 "loss of use" and $250 "administration fee". This all seems rather excessive and punitive for a chip on the windshield that was not our fault! We will never be renting from ACE again!

      Rented a car at Ace Rent A Car last August *****. I wasnt aware when I booked the car rental about the thousands of bad reviews it has! If I had known, I wouldnt have used this company. It was non refundable. Reading all the bad reviews, I was aware that they like to charge you with car insurance coverage that you dont need so I specifically told the guy at the counter that I have car insurance coverage purchased on Priceline (Allianz), plus my regular car insurance which covers car rentals, plus my credit card. I told him clearly that I dont want to avail with their car insurance coverage and their roadside assistance. The guy at the counter told me to sign my initials and said that this is just to show that you have insurance coverage on the car rental in case of an accident. I assumed that the insurance he was talking about was my own insurance. They charged me $400 for deposit. When I returned the car, they told me I was only getting $300 back and explained that they charged me for the car insurance and road side assistance that a specifically told them I didnt want. When I complained this to the night manager, she said smirkingly, you signed for it. When I got inside my Uber, the first thing that the driver asked me is how was my car rental experience at Ace. He said that he always ask because he knew the answer is always bad based on all his experience with customers that he picks up at Ace. With thousands of bad reviews, a class action lawsuit is inevitable.

      I have never been charged so much much for a rental car. I was originally quoted a lower price but when I got to the place they charged me way more then what I was expecting. The car was dirty and smell really bad and customer services is terrible. They did not returned my $200.00 deposit, we only got $45.00 back. I regret not reading the reviews before using this company. I will never used ACE again! Please STAY AWAY from renting cars here.

      I came with a pre-paid car voucher. The agent would not accept it unless I purchase additional "optional" insurance. I declined. (Now turned to my Claims Court to recover the pre-payment.) This extra insurance is not needed because the fee includes insurance for the rental (by law) furthermore, the **** card also adds insurance. ACE car rental operates as a CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE.

      I rented a car on the 6th of August and returned the car on the 7th of August and still have not received my deposit, as far as Im concerned I was told that the deposit will go back into my credit card the same day I returned the car. It has been 5 days and I still have not received my deposit. I have bills that have to come out of that account. I feel like I was misled.

      We got $300 charged by ACE when we returned the car. We did not damage the car, the scratches on rims were there before we picked it up. The person inspecting the vehicle barely looked at the wheels in the dark parking garage when he gave it to us, and when we returned it, he sat down and put his flashlight closely up to the tires. They also gave us a Dodge 8 cylinder engine with "expensive rims" which made loud engine noise when we only requested a full size car at time of reservation. We also had to wait 20 minutes to get the car in the first place. I would give this place a zero if I could.

      I have never had this experience with any rental car agency in my lifetime and have never paid more than what I charged initially for the rental car. I felt the whole experience was fishy from the beginning. I strongly suggest your ***** location change their practice and be fully transparent with customers with the type of cars being lent out and not sticking them with a car that doesn't meet customer expectations. The car should never be put on as general rental unless it is specifically required by customers. I was forced to close out my credit card so no further charges would show up by Ace given I have zero trust with this establishment.

      Stay away from this car rental company!! They make huge profits by claiming giving customers scratch /damaged cards claiming the customer did it and filing insurance claims against your credit card company, car insurance company or pursing you to pay. If they don't get the money they put it on your credit

      Customer Message:Hello I would like to file a complaint against AJ he works at the ***** airport location. During our vacation the check engine light came on. My wife called and was explaining how the car didnt want to start and how the lights was on. Out of nowhere this *********** just starts yelling at my wife on the phone. This is completely unacceptable we spoke to the person that said he was the manager on duty and he claimed he would speak to him. As a regional manager I know if anyone in my company talked to a customer that way that employee would of been let go that day. I would like to know what are your plans to address this with your employees. I also want a full refund for the car we rented.
