      My electric clothes dryer broke down. When searching for service, Angie's List provide one for $269.67. When the service person came, they fixed the broken belt, but the dryer would not continually run when pressing the Start button. This means one has to hold the Start button down always to make the dryer work. The service person told me to contact G.E., the dryer's manufacture, to determine how to reset a failsafe code that prevents the dryer from working. When I reached G.E., they asked me if this was one of their technicians, because if it was they would know how to reset the failsafe code. I sent a text to the repair person about the need to use a tool to clear the failsafe code. No response after one week. I text them again one week later and still no response. I sent Angie's List an email concerning this matter, but no response from them for over three days. I want either full repayment of $269.67 and $150,00 for parts purchased by the service person or the failsafe code to be reset.

      We're so sorry to hear that ********* experience has been anything but positive. This is not typical, and not the kind of experience we would expect for him to have when coming to us for help. After reviewing his complaint we have processed a full refund for his booking as well as the annual membership fee. Refunds can take 3 - 5 days to show as available on account statements, and if he has any additional questions he can call our ************* team directly.

      Angies List takes advantage of small businesses. They charge you for leads that you may not get in contact with. They charge you regardless of if the platform helps you. If you are a contractor, stay away from this company. The lead fees are outrageously priced and there is no getting your money back for any reason.

      I booked an appointment with Angi.com to have two ceiling fans installed. I took a screen shot of my "confirmed appointment" for record keeping purposes. This screen shot tells me to check my email for receipt & booking details...I HAVE NOT received any email or phone call. It is now past my scheduled appointment, so I called the number on the screen shot. The customer service agent tried to tell me the 12:00PM appointment was a "preferred" time and not the actual appointment. I read the her the screen, "Thanks, your booking has been confirmed...Your pro will start, Sunday, July 24th 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

      I now see a $386.90 charge placed against my credit card WHEN NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!! This charge needs to be removed immediately!

      I have never, not once sin the two weeks since my appointment been contacted by anty"professional" regarding my project.

      And, I have not yet seen a statement confirming my $389+ refund.

      I signed a contract with a company called Home Advisor where I was emailed referrals for projects in my area that matched my skills as a home designer. My agreement with Home Advisor gave me the option of accepting the project and contacting the owner. I was then expected to pay a fee for the referral if and only if I came to a agreement on contract terms with owner. Without my knowledge this agreement was changed when Home Advisor was aquired by Angie's List and later Angi. I started getting text message saying that I was being scheduled to interview owners for building projects and I ignored them because I thought that I would be contacted by email to review and accept. So for 5 months I was charged for referrals to my credit card for referrals that I never knew to follow-up. I only discovered this fact when I canceled my credit card and found out that they had charged me for over $3,000 of referral fees. I contacted the company and they said that it was not their policy to refund me the fees and they even sent my account to a collection company. I explained to the collection company that I was defrauded for the amount of the last month and they dropped pursuing the collection process but the debt is still on my credit report.

      I have now been fighting this issue since 9am this morning and waiting for WTOC News to call me back as they are planning to do a story. The fact that a media outlet can contact me before you all even took one step in resolving my issue is alarming. I have been scammed by your company! My card is continuing to be charged and no one is assisting me. I have been hung up on multiple times. I was called a b**** by someone claiming to be a supervisor for you all. The sales rep who signed us up lied to us and set false expectations.We were told on that Thursday after having services an hour that the account was canceled as requested! I was told I would receive a refund by 7/22. Today is now 7/22 and I did not receive payment. However I checked my bank account and received a charge of $94.94! Not only were we lied to about our account being canceled, no refund was ever initiated. Now your fraudentley trying to make more money off of me just because you have access to my card. No one is assisting with canceling the account and providing me proof of the refund being placed. I have since taken my complaint to social media to find out that this happens almost daily to hard working people. After calling the local news station they were hungry to take our story because this is a known scam by your company! Is there no way to get out of this service and get our money back?I have since filed complaints with multiple agencies in hopes that someone can help me. The fact that your leaders in your call centers are of no help and can provide no way to escalate a concern is mind boggling.I'm sending this email here in hopes someone will finally give a **** about the presence your company is giving to the public. To steal money from hard working individuals while our country is facing a recession is despicable and disgusting!Being hung up and to have profanity used against me by leaders within your company should be grounds for immediate change!
