      At first we would see professional commercials . So I called once to see if it would benefit my construction company. I never made a deal but they would keep calling and then offered to give a free trial and then charge 300 a year. They offered a discount of 100 turning into 200 a year. After I find out that they charged 2k to my card. Never once did I benefit from this company. I never got any construction projects with them. They are unfairly charging and scamming other small businesses. They act like are genuinely an honest company but scam you by saying a different amount, instead of what you are actually charged. I ask that you remove this charge completely, because it is unfair to lie to people and upcharge without explaining. They already sent me to collections as well. The lady from the collections office they sent my **** to, said they would only lower it to ********. I shouldnt be having to pay a company who did absolutely nothing but send a list of projects in which I never made any profit from. How is this company possibly legal. Theres probably thousands of smaller businesses trying to make it out for their families just like me, falling for this scam.

      July 7th , 2022 Angie advertising contract I own a small cleaning business I am a single mother to a infant and received calls from Angie wanting me to advertise with them . I told them I had a very low budget and couldnt afford it . She then said it was only 300$ for a certain amount of gautentee leads for one month and I could cancel after the month if I dont get anything . Weeks went on and I received 8 leads all I sent them emails texts and calls and either no one answered or their phone number was invalid and wouldnt let me send anything . Some of the addresses dont even exist on my maps . This next part is scary and is a huge factor in my complaint , I have received many emails all similar wanting to send me ***** $ checks for housecleaning . They said they got my contact off Angie . I believed them at first but my local police department told me the checks were laundering of someone elses money and if I would have deposited it I would have been in thousands of dollars of debt . I still am receiving these scam emails . In addition I have got absolutely no buisness or jobs on this and am just NOW being told Im in this year long contract and if I want to cancel it will be $1260 dollars !! I cant afford that one bit I feel like Ive been lied to and scammed for my money . My son has been in the hospital the past week I am raiding my business my family and paying for everything myself . I have no one to help me and I feel like I spent 300! Just to get scammed . Angie definitely has been giving me all spam leads and has got my buisness into some scary sketchy clientele . I dont want to be associated with this company and cannot afford to pay this termination fee . I need help please ! Angie has been no help in answering my calls they say my client success manager is at a meeting or on vacation . I have been with them for less than a month and need help with getting out of this scam before my month ends . Thank you so much ! Hope to hear from your team

      We thank ***** for contacting us and regret to hear that she has had anything but a favorable experience. Angi offers advertising placement to service providers in an effort to attract customers who will make their own decisions regarding who to contact, based on profile information and reviews. Since the customer will make their own choice, we would not be able to guarantee a certain number of leads per month. During the course of *****'s advertising campaign, her Client Success Manager has attempted to contact her in regards to her lead concerns. We have received her request to cancel the ad campaign and are processing the cancellation. As of 8/6/22 this will be fully closed. In an effort to ease any frustrations and come to a resolution, we have opted to waive the early termination fee. This will stop any future collection attempts. While we would have preferred to continue on with our business partnership, we wish ***** the best in her future business endeavors.

      I decided to give Angi's list one last chance regarding my wallpaper project. The previous 4 times I scheduled this service, the contractors, the contractors did not show.My scheduled service was for Monday, July 25th (my birthday). The contractor, Jonnae, showed up 35 minutes late with her son. The service was to wallpaper half my wall in the half bathroom and the toliet room in my master bathroom because I had paneling on the lower half of the wall.Jonnae started on my half bath. At approximately 2:45 pm she said she needed to leave to get help because she wasn't going to be able to complete the job by herself. After she left, I went to view her work and IT. WAS. TERRIBLE!! Wallpaper was not lined up, it was hung horizontal and vertical and she damaged my ceilings and my wall with the adhesive. I called Angi immediately and told them what happened in the event she didn't return. I called Angi a little over an hour after the first call and started the process of getting a refund. I also asked how my damaged walls were going to be fixed. I was passed off to 4 different people and on the phone for over 2 hours. I gave up on Monday. I called Tuesday, July 26th and asked about filing a claim. I filled out the claimed form and provide pictures. They stated they needed the estimate to repair the walls and redo the wallpaper. I provided the estimate for the removal and re-installation of the wallpaper as well as a copy of the Wayfair receipt for the 2 rolls of wallpaper the contractor messed up.The total request for reimbursement was $1,274. and some changed. Angi responded I needed to go through my insurance company FOR. A. NEW. BUILD. HOME!! They are not trying to help get this issue resolved at all

      I called Angi to have some work done in my home, the professional that was sent to my home did not know how to do the job and damaged my home in the process. He made a mess. He came to my home with 2 other people. One that was his girlfriend which he left in the middle of the day to take to work, that's when i was able to see the destruction that had taken place. He was gone for 2 hrs. When he returned he said that no one contacted him and the Company left me hanging and had to tell him he was unable to finish the job. He torn my backsplash off my bathroom wall and that was not part of the work. He was to come lay a new floor and remove the old vanity and put in a new one. He threw everything in my bathtub scratched it up,Lost pa rts to the toilet which I had to replace along with flooring and have the wall repaired that was damaged. I called Angi to have them removed from my home and after telling them what has happened they said they would send me a claim form. That went nowhere all the pictures I had, and problem that occurred meant nothing. I do not have receipts for things that were put in and flooring bought a year and 2 ago. I sent a picture oh the flooring that i bought from *********** It was just 1box I am asking for to be replaced. Along with the cost of having the wall fixed and the cost of the back splash . Just $500 dollars not like I was trying to take advantage like I was. Not to mention how dangerous it could have been to my husband and myself. I was on the phone for hours with 5 different people from Angi and cannot believe how this company can care less. Shoveling you around to whoever to get you off the phone. I will include the pictures I sent to Angi. Thank you ***********************

After reviewing her complaint and account, we denied her claim due to lack of documentation. She did not provide us with any costs and was asking for an arbitrary amount without any documentation to support the amount she was asking for. She does not need to supply a receipt for her flooring as one of the options of documentation could be a written estimate for the cost to repair the damage. If she supplies this then we can move forward with the next step of her claim. We ask that she email our claims department back letting them know that she is receiving a written estimate, and then providing us this documentation as soon as possible.

      I cancelled months ago. The just approved my account and sent me a lead. I called and cancelled again. They claim it is too late because they already sent the lead.

      Ever since signing up for Angi's list to find a cleaner I have been getting unwanted spam calls every single day, 3-4 times a day. Please help me to stop them. I also want to spread awareness about ANgis' list so other's don't have the same issue

      25 Jul 2022 After looking at my credit card account I saw a pending $206.46 from home advisor for work appointment in which no one showed up @0900 and no work was done, no call from person who was to give an estimate prior to work being done I need to stop or refund my $206.46 This is bad business because this can be done many times with a no show no work behavior and they Angi/home advisor can be paid Kindly expedite my refund and try to stop this behavior Thank you Vet Luthers

      I was very specific on the phone with their sales rep who was strong arming me into a very expensive advertising program that assured me that I'd be getting ****** leads a month, definitely didn't (That is what she said). Every Lead comes thru wanting a quote with next to no information on the projects and when I contact the customers no one ever responds, leading me to believe these are false leads because who could ever prove otherwise since you can't actually contact a customer.The sales rep also told me that someone would be contacting me to explain how everything worked and the first person to call spent a total of 3 mins on the phone w me and didn't explain anything and then weeks later a man called and by then I was trying to cancel this account since at every turn it was a total scam, obviously.I was VERY VERY specific about the type of work that I do and the sales woman assured me that I wouldn't have to worry about running around all over the place doing odd jobs since that is NOT what I am in the business of doing.I highly suggest that anyone who even thinks about using this company runs as fast and far as they can. I sent my reasons for cancellation to this company and expect this account to be closed especially since I just had to file FRAUD with my bank for them using an UNAUTHORIZED card for taking another $500 after I strongly explained why I wanted out of this FRADULANT contract.My complaints are no different then most that I have read about this company from others just like me and if you run out of reading material head over to the REVOKED BBB account for the old name for the same company Angi's List. It is hard to believe that scam companies like this are allowed to even exist when clearly they are fraudulently taking advantage of contractors and homeowners everyday.Very Frustrating when we are out here trying to actually help people.I want this account cancelled and a refund for the first month!! I was flat out lied to in so many ways

      We thank **** for contacting us and apologize for any experience that has been less than positive. The Client Success Manager has attempted to contact **** multiple times during the course of the advertising campaign to discuss her concerns. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful in reaching her. Prior to the ad campaign going live, **** was provided with the written advertising agreement which outlined the terms, length of agreement, services offered and the cancellation policy. As she has accepted and agreed to all terms, we will not offer any refunds. We have received her request to cancel the agreement and as a result, the ads are now terminated. We'd like to make an effort to come to a resolution and have opted to waive the early termination fee. Additionally, we have waived the past due balance which will stop any future collection attempts.       First, I do appreciate that this company has terminated my request to cut ties with this company and any and all of its affiliates. However, she mentions in her response that I signed their terms and agreements and that makes it sound like there was even an opportunity to really take a look at them.  This is the problem with this company just to start.  If someone signed an agreement then that Agreement should be available even after it was signed, clearly it was not available since when I clicked the link that their company sent to me was no longer available and only connected to a dead link.  I truly believe I am due a refund of the initial $500.00 upon sign up because I was very clear on the type of work that my company does and the reason behind joining Angi in the first place. I was assured that that was the kind of work that I would be receiving over and over, the work that was sent my way was nothing of the sorts and did not even come close to the original reason behind joining. Had the sales person mentioned that these Leads had to be won against several other contractors let alone that there was no way that Angi had any way of making the call that I would ONLY be getting the work that my company practices I 100% believe that I am owed a full refund.  At no point in the conversations with the salesperson did she mention any of the things that were supposedly in the Agreement. As most any Contractor asking questions these salespeople had every opportunity to discuss these very important details and she definitely did not which I am more than sure could be heard in the phone recording.  

      This company (Angi) is a multi-million dollar conglomerate and can more than afford to refund this $500.00.  Any action other than that is just unjustified.  If they told the truth upon me signing up I'd let it go but that certainly isn't the case and it's easy to see that I am not alone in this issue.  It was disturbing to see that the ************************ has a Court Date set in November because this company was charged and Court Ordered to change their ways and they have not.  This was a Court Order that this company defied so if for no other reason this would be that.

If a service provider is unable to view their advertising agreement or would like a copy of the agreement, we encourage them to contact their Client Success Manager for assistance. ****'s Client Success Manager reached out on various occasions to address her concerns, but was unable to reach her. As previously stated, **** has accepted all terms of the ad agreement. We have waived the early termination fee and past due balance however, we will not issue a refund.

      I'm still holding firm on declining their decision on not refunding my initial $500 due to they know they are in the wrong, I won't pursue this any longer as I can use my knowledge to further protect those in my industry and will continue to direct anyone who considers this company to the links of lawsuits aimed at their breaking of an official Court Order on how to practice business in a field such as this.  I am greatly interested in the outcome of the Federal Trade Commission and their filings against this organization on November 09, 2022.

      She further states that at anytime we can get a copy of the Agreement, however what she fails to see or hear is that what ever Agreement they say we signed should be available under the ORIGINAL LINK that we clicked to sign in the first place because anything other could and probably has been reworded for the benefit of this company and not the customer.  It would be absurd of her to think that changing documents to suit the needs of the company over their customers isn't an acutal fraud in this day and age.  The original link goes to a 404 so the original Agreement IS NOT AVAILABLE, conveniently.       I registered my business on Angi considering using it to help grow our company. Immediately started receiving numerous calls and emails from their sales reps. I have sent them three emails asking them to delete my account and they reply that they do not delete accounts and will not remove my information. Despite asking them to place me on do not call list they call me at least twice per day. Their reps are argumentative and condescending when they call me, they act like they do not know that I have told them to not contact me anymore. They accuse me of asking them to call me. This has become incessant. The outright refuse to stop calling me and refuse to delete my account and information.

      Hi. I seen Angie's list on TV and they are bbb certified. So I thought it was a good company. I sighed up around July 16 and started getting calls and emails.. lots of them.. the app they provided would not open. I work long days and there is no phone service we're I was working so I was unable to access Angie's list. On July 22 they took $655 from my account without ever delivering any customers! This is a theft of service. I didn't receive any useful information from them. My bank and I have contacted them twice with no helpful information. Just a run around.. you would think it was a robot. I'm currently working with my bank to resolve this. I would really appreciate the help and getting the information out so they don't keep doing this. I'm a newly started business and was trying to get more work and all I received from there service was my materials money stolen.
