Trash Bandits has failed to pick up my trash for 3 straight weeks. They do not answer their phone, and have not responded to numerous voice mails and emails. My bill was paid within 30 minutes of receiving it on July 1, 2024, and I haven't heard from them since. It also appears that they've removed their social media accounts. I want a full refund for the bill I just paid, and a prorated refund for the past 3 weeks of failed service.Initial Complaint

We had trash bandits in ********** for over a year where they picked up without problem. When we moved to ************** which is 20 minutes from their corporate home they have been missing pickups every other week and lying about when they will be here. I contacted them June 24th to tell them they missed pickup. I was provided an excuse and was told a double pickup would be the next Monday. I contacted them July 11th to tell them we were on week 2 of no pickup. They claimed an emergency happened and they would be here next week. Today makes week three of no pick up we are on 4 trash cans full of bags. Instead of picking up our trash they decided to cancel my account instead. Signed up and paid for service on 12/27/2023. They have not provided service one time since then and will not answer their phone, return a call after leaving a message, or return an email. I have attempted to contact them on a multitude of occasions with no response. I just want a refund since they took my money and refuse to provide any service or even speak to me.Initial Complaint

I set up service to begin on February 8th. They didn't pick up my trash so I emailed and they said they have me starting service on February 15th. They didn't pick up my trash yet again. I reached out to Trash Bandits to provide pickup weekly trash service. They advise me of the coat and they would do pick*** every Friday. I paid them for 3 months and the first week they picked up. The next 2 weeks no shows. I call both times and they said they would be out the next day and did not. After 9 weeks and missed pick *** I requested a refund of the 9 weeks out of the 12 I had paid for. I received a email back stating they would issue a refund but one was never issued. Trash Bandits failed to pick up trash at the ************************ on several occasions. Services were canceled over a month ago. Trash Bandits has refused to pick up the dumpster and has stopped answering phone calls and communications. The dumpster still has trash in it creating a public health hazard. We entered into a contract for trash service 6/25/23. We paid for an entire year of service with an extra tote. We should have a total of two totes and service until 6/25/2024. We paid a total of $191 for the service with and additional $60 for the extra tote, grand totaling $251.00. It took over three months to receive even one tote. I contacted them several times and they said they didnt have enough totes nor enough trucks to deliver them. Three months into this inquiry several totes were left to people in our neighborhood that dont have service with this company. I again contacted them about the totes and they said they were aware of the issue. Several weeks later, we finally received one tote. Never received the second one. I was told we were paying for extra trash service, not a tote and couldnt tell me when I would receive the second tote and would not give me a refund for the time already paid for without one. 10/23/23, we were informed via email, the day of pick up for that week, that they will no longer be servicing our area. We had zero notice they were going to cancel service and had to immediately find and pay for new service and our trash was already set out for pick up that day, 10/23. They said they would be issuing refunds in 30 days. 11/30/23 I contacted by phone to inquire about the refund I had not received. They informed me they had no way of tracking per address what check had gone out but that they had gone out. They told me to check my mail Thursday or Friday of that week and if I still have not received it call them back and they would issue a new check. 12/4/23 I contacted them via email, again inquiring about the refund as I still had not received anything. I was emailed back saying we still have a tote and that we need to schedule a time to pick that up and than they will exchange that for a refund. They can and could have picked up their tote at any time. I dont feel my refund should be dependent on them picking up their tote.Business Response

This customer has already been given her refund just as we stated we would. We emailed her and let her know we would refund her remainder after out toter was picked up. We have had several people get a refund and then lock our toters up and we are not able to get them. This has made up implement a company wide policy that no refunds are given until toters are collected. This complaint should be null and void but everyone seems to be so quick to make a complaint when they were already given a solution. She was told via email exactly what was going to take place and that is exactly what we did.
