      September 20 2022.
Had my oil changed yesterday and over heated before I got home. Woke up this morning with oil in my sons driveway.
Check the oil and there seems to be to much in my car.
It was changed at Valvoline on NE 99th Ave in Vancouver Washington. I came to my son's do to a fire by my house in Oregon The MacIver Park fire. So now I'm afraid to drive my care back to Beavercreek Oregon. And not sure what to do. I'm a 68 year old disabled Women. I'm afraid to take it back to them.

Very bad business, over charges on oil and labor, which is included in the price, don’t go here.

Isabella removed to bolts to remove the pan which protects to bottom side of the engine and transmission. She was having trouble putting it back together and she ask Nicholas for help. Because she was having trouble see decided not to replace all the bolts. When I talked with the manager Timothy he to start a claim because there is nothing he can do because he believes his employee and not me because I'm a stranger. I reminded him I'm the customer but he didn't care. BTW I was in the bay for one hour. I would not recommend them for even a basic oil change.

Valvoline customer for many years with zero complaints. Had a headlight out in April so went by and had them replace both headlights at a cost of nearly $55. Last week, in September, I notice one is burned out and call to ask what their warranty is. I’m advised that the headlights they sell and install themselves are only warrantied for 30 days. When I asked how that was the case when the stock headlights lasted 3+ years the manager said he had to replace headlights on his new vehicle after “a few months”… I realized they weren’t going to help so I went to replace the headlights myself. I was surprised to see that the old lamps I removed were mismatching brands. After looking into it, it appears that Valvoline charged for both, but only changed one headlight in April. The other was the stock/OEM from the factory. I then went back to the shop to give them an opportunity to resolve the issue. After showing him the two mismatched lamps I removed and explaining that no one but Valvoline has touched the vehicle since April, Brandon (the manager on duty) insisted that they installed two mismatched headlights in April. I asked him to show me both brands, but he could only produce one of the two brands of lights I removed. He then told me he "wasn't going to deal with me anymore" and stood by the bay door waving me out. It could have been an honest mistake from the tech in April, but the way these guys refuse to look at the circumstances and blindly deny any wrong-doing makes me think they are running some repair scam.

They broke 4 clips and stripped 2 screws on my air filter cover -- which they did pay to repair at my auto dealer. But I'd already driven an add'l 10k miles before it was discovered at my next scheduled maintenance. Cover was just balancing on top, unsecure. Valvoline manager told me after he looked up who the technician was, that he could see how that guy would've been impatient and jerked the cover off. But could not tell me why he didn't admit the broken clips and stripped screws At The Time of service so that it could be timely repaired. They ALSO cut themselves a convenient hole in my skid plate to reach the oil filter rather than remove/replace 8 screws and drop the cover! Would've slowed their time, you see. They denied that claim. Manager first apologized and said he'd get right on it with upper management. But when he called me back - on an announced recorded call! - denied the cut could've happened there and of course all these months later, no video available. My vehicle had not had the oil changed anywhere else and had a Valvoline oil filter in it when I went to my VW dealer for other maintenance. The dealer told me about the cut and had me come look at it. I asked Valvoline why they wouldn't have mentioned it if it already had the cut aand manager just said they've seen skid plates in much worse condition. Like it was no big deal. Well, it is To Me! My car is practically new! It isn't some pos I picked up off craigslist. They're Not About quality maintenance. Only that 15 min quick service. And to beat all that, found out it's $14 cheaper to have oil changed At The Dealer who also have an express! If you've ever had your oil changed at Valvoline Instant Oil Change, you should check your skid plate for a hole cut to reach your oil filter! I found one other instance of this very issue on an auto forum online. Tech denied it. But that car owner was lucky enough to walk into the bay and pull the plastic pieces out of the trash! I should've been that lucky.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The tech stripped the plug and caused dripping in my oil pan. I raised with valvoline customer service and is unresolved. The customer service was unfortunately terrible, the manager could not provide documented proof to me that it was not their fault despite another valvoline location confirming damage to my vehicle. Just be cautious when taking your vehicle here. Once there is a hiccup on their part you will need to call numerous times, and will need to ensure the case is completed thoroughly.

This is the second time I’ve had an issue at this Valvoline location in ********** - and this time it was a MAJOR issue that could have destroyed my engine.
The first time, they left an air hose disconnected. Car ran funny, but I pulled over and it was an easy fix.
This time, they incorrectly installed the oil filter, causing my car to leak out all of its oil shortly after my oil change (around 9:30am), leaving me broken down and stranded on a super hot day. I called Valvoline (10:33am) and they sent a tech out to help (11:15am), who added oil, which immediately leaked right back out. They wouldn’t authorize a tow to a mechanic, so I had to sit in the hot sun and wait for the tech to go get parts. He came back at 12:24pm, added a new oil filter and some oil. This appeared to stop the leak, but my check engine light remained on. I insisted on taking my car to the dealership to inspect it after Valvoline’s mishap, but they refused to cover this. I didn’t want to risk my engine, so I insisted on having the car checked. The Valvoline area manager compromised and said I could take my car to one of their partner mechanics. This seemed sketchy, but the shop had good reviews, so I went for it. I dropped the car off at about 12:45pm, and at 3:30pm it was finally inspected. They cleared the check engine light and warned me that my car may have sustained internal damage, but that they couldn’t see inside.
My 15-minute oil change turned into a 6-hour nightmare that possibly caused long term damage to my car. Here’s the kicker — Valvoline will not refund the $100+ I paid for the oil change. Unbelievable.

BEWARE! I got my oil changed at a Valvoline different from the one I normally like to use, while in the area waiting for my wife. Over the next three days I noticed three 6" spots on our driveway. I looked under the car and found a drop of oil above the latest oil stain. When I touched the oil I noticed the new filter was very loose. I hand tightened it. Then I called the Valvoline shop I went to 3 days prior. They said it could have been old oil from around the filter gasket, maybe a bad filter gasket, I can bring it in and they will check it out.I asked if I could go to a closer Valvoline where I normally have my oil changed, the manager said yes. So far it could be that something simply got missed, it happens.I called the shop I normally go to and explained the story above. after being put on hold they told me that their report for my car says that my car has a severe oil leak. What? Why have I never heard or seen this before, there has never been oil stains on my driveway until this oil change and I have never had low oil readings.I asked when the severe oil leak statement was put on my car's report? I was put on hold. The manager I first spoke with, got on the the line. He would not answer my question of when the severe leak statement was put on the report, nor why it was never mentioned before this. He said I can come in and they'll check it out. I chose not to go back to his shop. He then falsely accused me of name calling and hung-up. Wow, it maybe that the person putting on the filter is not the only one in need of training.I have lost confidence in Valvoline, it seems like they're hiding some truth here...I'll go to my trusted mechanic, it's worth the wait.

Very disorganized and help is not trained. Didn't put pan cover on correctly and it fell off. Won't stand behind their work. Really this a ZERO star review.

Took my car to the Valvoline on Dover Road in Clarksville, Tennessee, for an oil change and was talked into a transmission flush by a technician, car immediately started running funny, surging and losing gears, filed the complaint, they sent a wrecker to pick up the car as it was undrivable, Eric, I believe the District Manager's name said they weren't at fault, refused to pay for the replacement of my transmission, which was still under warranty, of course that was voided because I let another company work on it, nearly 5000 dollars, not to mention taking an Uber to work for two weeks. Do not go to this shop unless you've got some money to throw away. Oil change was okay, transmission flush? Don't do it.
