Took my car to get a oil change, my car was fine before I took the car in. Come out and the next day the car is putting and smoking...
They break your car and try to blame everyone else! They will BREAK YOUR CAR....ALL THEY CAN SAY IS THEY ARE DOING AN INVESTIGATION. I have to go to work everyday now on a pat bus but they dont care. I will be taking them to court and calling the news to their establishment.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO VALVOLINE.

This is the complaint for the Valvoline in Rancho Cucamonga, California This shop rips people off and they don’t do the oil change. They just change the filter and leave the old oil in the engine. They will still charge you $120, That’s why I’m writing this complaint

These people are unbelievable. I take my truck in on the 11th for a state inspection. Have to buy a cheap a$$ wiper blade for the driver side.
Then they tell me that their printer is broke but hey it will still be entered into Tex dot so I can renew my registration.
      The 12th Nope
      The 13th Nope
Someone hit my truck Friday evening so now it’s in the shop for who knows how long.
Sept 16th I call the manager and tell him that I’m STILL WAITING.
Well our printers still out of ink but it will be in tomorrow. Oh but wait, some idiot left the fail on there and didn’t change it after I bout the stupid wiper so you’ll have to bring in in.
      ITS IN THE SHOP.
“Well sorry we have to have the truck.”
I know I’m already frustrated overall but what business that DEPENDS on a printer doesn’t keep a spare?
What moron can’t talk to the tech about it and switch it in the system? It clearly states it was Jadon. They left my keys in my truck and then we were looking all over for them so he should remember me between the wiper and the keys!
      Incompetent!

Took my 2016 GMC Canyon truck in for an oil change. It was done incorrectly leaking a quart of oil in less than 3 miles. Noticed it when I saw oil running down my driveway. Took it back with the attitude that mistakes happen. Requested the issue be found and corrected and all would be fine. After several minutes I was told “this type of thing is normal for type of vehicle” (never happened before) was then assured the problem was solved. Next morning I again discovered oil running down my driveway this time it was a much larger area of oil. Again I returned and this spoke with manager it was discovered that the technician did not ensure the rubber O Ring was seated properly thus causing the issue. Ive had issues with them in the past but this is last straw. I reported the issue in an “how did we do?” Email. (LOL)

I had my oil change an a filter changed on 09/06/24. I took my car home which is only 10 minutes away from Valvoline I set home for about two hours before leaving out to go pick up my children. I proceeded to leave my home and had straight to the highway which is also 10 minutes from my residence. I get on at the North Poplar Level Rd head 264 East I Proceeded to incline speed as I approached traffic on the high way and my engine seems to be shutting down instantly. As I try to apply pressure to the gas paddle my car is not picking up speed. I immediately start to panic because oncoming traffic is coming fast so I coast over to the right side of the highway a half mile up and hit my caution lights. still in a panic I shut my car off and try to restart and again my car continues to jerk and shake badly and my engine shuts back off. I was stranded on the highway for 3 hours in the heat with no A/C still in shock and crying. I call my insurance for tow assistance they eventually arrived and take my car to a mechanic of my choice. I also reach out to Valvoline to let them what happened & they reply well if we are reliable let us know and we will be responsible. Two days has gone by so I reach out to the mechanic and they tell me that Valvoline has Broken what is called an Outlet Inlet Tube. I have to no clue what that is. They proceeded to say we’ll reach out to them and let them know ect. I call the next day and they tell me Valvoline has to reach out to corporate and hear back from them. Okay! I call again on 9/11/24 the mechanic tells me Valvoline said their trying to remove my car from them and take it to a cheaper mechanic I instantly get upset because I’m sure they are not allowed to do that as well as where I choose to take my car that’s where it’s going to be and you have to fix no matter the price. Here it is almost a week with no car and I’m struggling to get my children to school everyday and make it to work all with a car. Please help thanks

9/10/24 Around 1pm I was at Valvoline on Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix, AZ.
I downloaded a 50% off coupon off their website prior, and showed it to them multiple times during the process. I'm disabled so I really have to plan things like this in advance to prepare myself. I asked which oil change I had to get to use the coupon. The guy said the full synthetic, $100 oil change. I agreed because I had the 50% off coupon. As the end of the transaction he scanned the coupon and it won't work. Then the manager got involved and told me the coupon isn't valid with that oil. She told me if I wouldn't pay the full price, then she would have to drain the oil out of my car. I explained the situation multiple times because she seemed more interested in yelling at me than listening. I know I didn't do anything wrong. I asked to speak with her manager and she said she was the highest manager there. She said she couldn't adjust the price in their system. She was rude, yelling and unprofessional. Finally she rung up a similar price and I paid it just to get away from that place. I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE! I WILL SPREAD MY EXPERIENCE TO ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN! THIS IS NOT OK!

I had my oil change in March 2 ladies changed my oil and me and my friend were sceptical but at this point I had to let them continue well I noticed she did not reset anything after oil change so therefore I was definitely not going back there I kept smelling oil burning and it was burning my eyes and noticed a small leak thought it was time for oil change but I was 400 miles early so I took it to Walmart which was my right now I'm watching the manager proceed to change oil and 1 turn and the bolt broke off but bolt was not stripped so Walmart had me to call Valvoline to come and see what their employee did the threads were stripped in oil pan he drove down to Walmart and seen pictures did not look at my car he quoted and said definitely was our fault everyone there heard him say that and the pictures tells the story their ppl were incompetent but Manager from Valvoline was just concerned of hiring the guy that they say stripped my thread in oil pan so he left Walmart will not put any oil in my car because that would leave them liable so I'm there now for almost 5 hours hot not knowing what I was going to do so the manager Bradley and his manager called me back now I'm mad after waiting and Bradley said it was not their fault I said Bradley why are you lying he blantly everybody heard you say you would take care of my car since y'all did this well needless to say it didn't go well so here is my car sitting with no oil in it then his manager calls and has me on recording but they did not no I was recording them too he said my car was old 2008 with 80000 miles and they were not responsible ! So I took it to a man they deal with he said he gets a lot of threads stripped from Valvoline due to lack of inexperienced emps this cost me 1000 dollars and they knew the cost to fix it and that is why they did not want to fix it ! and guess what they need to get ready for me next is my attorney ! They cannot do this to ppl and yes I used fowl language after 5 hours waiting

I have been a loyal customer of Valvoline in Edison, NJ, for many years, regularly bringing my Honda Accord in for oil changes and transmission services.
However, I am extremely disappointed with the recent service and your customer support’s handling of an issue. In May 2022, we had a transmission oil change at Valvoline, followed by additional services, including an oil change on January 14, 2024.
Recently, my wife noticed our vehicle was leaking oil. When she took it to AAMCO, they discovered that the transmission oil had been overfilled by 3 quarts, causing oil to leak through the engine. AAMCO resolved the issue and invoiced us $395.
I contacted Valvoline’s customer service and requested reimbursement for the AAMCO service, as well as for the transmission fluid service done in May 2022, which caused the problem. Valvoline rejected my claim and provided an explanation that did not at all address the cause of the problem - they overfilled the transmission oil by three quarts!!
I have not received a clear explanation as to why this is not Valvoline's responsibility or why we are being held liable for these expenses.
I asked Valvoline to promptly remedy this situation and refund the following amounts:
$394.98 for the AAMCO service (I sent Valvoline the attached documentation shows that Valvoline overfilled the transmission oil)
$314.53 for the transmission fluid service on May 7, 2022
This experience has been extremely disappointing, and while I would like to continue as a Valvoline customer, this issue is making it difficult. I wanted to make the public aware of their awful service.

      WARNING!!!!
On 06/06/2024 Valvoline Instant Oil Change located at 1405 NW HWY 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014 performed an oil change on my son's 2012 Hyundai Sonata. They removed the gasket off of the drain plug and reinstalled it without a gasket. This caused the oil to leak out while he was on the highway, totally ruining his motor. He had Take 5 oil change document everything before they put a new drainplug in and filled it up with oil, with the hopes that the motor might still be ok. The motor was not ok. We then took it to Blue Springs Hyundai for further evaluation before contacting Valvoline.
Hyundai said that the motor was shot and needed replaced. They also noted that the only location oil had leaked from the car was the drain plug location. I contacted Valvoline at this time. At first they seemed like they would pay for the damages. They called me back and stated that they could see on video that their tech did improperly install the drain plug but they would not pay for the damages because Take 5 put a new plug in and top the oil off.
Do not use any Valvoline location because they will not stand behind their work when they are at fault and even admitted that they were at fault.
Please feel free to share this.

1st big red flag was I was told as of 8/1/2024 they replaced their whole staff at this location. Took a ********************************************************* $800.00 in repairs and labor at the dealership to fix what they messed up. They over tightened my oil filter to the oil cooler rendering it un-useable. They also offered to rotate the tires and later told my wife they couldn't do the job because the lug nuts were spinning. I'm guessing that they used the wrong sized socket. we called the complaint **** and and 1st they said they couldn't find the video feed and then later came back and said the video looked fine. Don't know how a video would show if someone over tightened a filter anyways. If you have used Valvoline before 8/1/2024 you might want to keep an eye on your car make sure its not leaking. Note they want to say they resolved the issue. (ITS NOT) THEY ARE UNWILLING TO PAY FOR WHAT THEY COST ME AT THE DEALERSHIP. IF YOU CANNOT DO THE *** CORRECTLY AND ARE UNWILLING TO PAY FOR YOUR MISTAKES THEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS, ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE. VALVOLINE called and talked to the dealer and were told the same as we were about their mistakes. My car's are too new and nice for them to ever touch again anyways. NOTE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR, VALVOLINE IN ****************** IS NOT FOR YOU.
