I have been incorrectly put into TRICARE Select. I was told multiple different stories during multiple phone calls. I chose an off base provider when giving the option so i (selected) an off base doctor for my daughter. By absolute no means did that meant I wanted TRICARE Select insurance. My son has always been prime and we are briefed last 18 years to never use select nor had I selected it. I never signed any documents saying select. It is all done on the receivers end of the phone at Humana. I left a formal complaint on the company on Monday and no one has contacted me to resolve the issue. I am rejecting this response because: this does absolutely nothing to rectify the problem. The response from Humana is a cut and paste generic response that doesn’t address any of my concerns of the wrong doing from Humana. Since Humana is dodging my request to pay the insurance fee difference for out of pocket I would like a transcript of the recording from the time I set up my daughters insurance in April of 2024.

I signed up for dental insurance with Humana April of 2024. I had to chose a dentist and did so which turned out to be ****** *** ****** in Elyria Ohio. All the 100’s of dentist say accepting new patients. Had a dental cleaning in June of 2024 that was the earliest then schedule for 12/12/2024. Friday 11/8/2024 recieved a text (see attached) telling me I need to reschedule. Called immediately and was told April/ May was the earliest. I then called Humana where I was told try and find another location after 6 phone calls to different places on the Humana’s website telling the public all taking new clients was told by every single one we only have a part time hygienist sorry can’t get in to May, June and a couple said their hygienist doesn’t have a schedule made yet they go to nursing school. To me I have paid for 6 months and then this! I believe it is a scam and fraud they get you to sign up pay all the premiums and then no one is there to clean your teeth. I just canceled this insurance and now have to search for another company they said they would only give me back one month of premiums since I pay a month ahead!Business Response

This company incessantly sends robo calls to my cell phone. My phone is constantly ringing and it has become very problematic, especially at work. Please - I am begging you (because begging the company has not done me any good) - get these people to stop calling me! Have them remove me from their automatic dialers. I am rejecting this response because: Humana is missing the ENTIRE point I made in my complaint. I don't want them to communicate with me directly (or indirectly)! I am tired of them blowing up my phone with unwanted solicitations regarding health issues. My employer is very unhappy with my phone constantly beeping or ringing with robocalls from Humana right in the middle of patient appointments and/or procedures. Please tell Humana to remove me from all contact lists (no calls, no texts, no emails). If I want to communicate with them I will initiate the contact. Thank you for reading.

This is a company that won't remove my home address from they mailing list. They have for 8 years refused to stop sending mail for people who don't live in my home. In fact they have never lived there.

My mom has been dead since 2015. I am still getting advertisements from your company. For her it is offensive to me and my family I have made contact before with your company to have her name removed apparently, it's not been removed. I wish not to call anymore because everybody's telling me not to call because you are using overseas call centers are very rude and nasty towards American people. This should not happen to me and my family to continue getting advertisements from your company. Please stop my mom is dead so I don't want any more advertisements. my mom has been dead since 2015. I have asked this company to quit sending advertisements for services I have called the company and told him that she has passed away, but I still get the stuff. I don’t call anymore because they have overseas call centers that are very rude to American people. All I’m asking is to have her name removed from their mailing list. I don’t have any information on her account with Humana when she had them. She’s been dead for nine years now this is getting out of hand. OK I’ll ask to have her information removed. Have it where people can remove their names from your mailing list. Two have a feature on your automatic phone system when people call they can request their name to removed from the mailing list.

On May 23, 2024, I had an in person medical appointment with *** **** ***** of Swedish Neuroscience Institute. I have been a patient of *** ***** for 17-years. It was determined I desperately need and meet the Humana approval process for a Intracept (disc nerve abilation) of my L4, L4 and S1 joints. I was advised this is a normally approved process, which would approve no more than 2-months time. Although I meet Humana's criteria, I have been repeatedly denied. Then, Humana advised *** *****'s office I would need to take a psychological exam, which is not standard course for any patient.
This process has been extremely distressing, My condition has worsened and now presenting worsened disability. I have learned the following about Humana:

I am a caregiver for ***** *********. Centerwell was constantly harassing him with calls so I have removed his phone number from there records. I am constantly being harassed with phone calls. Information provided herein is provided to the best of my knowledge and belief. This complaint shall not be construed as a waiver of, inter alia, any rights under HIPAA, and/or under any other applicable law, or otherwise. This matter concerns two checks previously issued by Humana to me in or around approximately October/November, 2023 (which checks I returned to Humana).
I believe that in approximately June of 2024, I wrote to Humana concerning the two reimbursement checks. In the June letter, in pertinent part, I stated: "Please note that I am only asking Humana to research and verify whether the referenced, returned checks should or should not properly be made out to me. Please research the issue, advise me, and otherwise act appropriately in prompt fashion."
Humana sent me a letter dated July 15, 2024. Humana indicated my purported "request for reimbursement" (this mischaracterizes my communications) "was misclassified as a grievance. [Humana has] sent your request for reimbursement [sic] to our Humana Clinical Pharmacy (HCPR) for review." Humana further advised that "...once the review is completed you will receive notification from that area."
I received correspondence from Humana dated August 15, 2024. As I have notified Humana, that correspondence is improper because it seeks to make me, its former insured, tell Humana (through my signature), the insurer, how to write checks. Humana has the resources to determine whom it should reimburse. And that should not take months and months and months. The August 15, 2024 request by Humana was not in good faith, and it is inextricably linked to the issuance of the two checks.
As Humana should know, it is Humana's job, and only Humana's job, to verify the propriety of the checks it issues to its insureds. The insureds do not bear the burden of instructing Humana how to do business. Humana has now acted in bad faith and has failed to do its job for an extended period. I am Power of Attorney and Representative Payee for my Uncle ***** ******. We fill like he was scammed into taking Humana from the beggining a few years ago. Besides that, he was admitted to the local ******* ****** ******* Home in March of 2024 and I was appointed POA for him. In April I called Humana and was assured over the phone his policy was cancelled. We got him on ******** and ******** and had no need for Humana. I have to pay the nursing home $1687.59 monthly and that amount was determined by ******** who said I should be getting $1687.59 monthly from ****** ********. Humana keeps holding out a little over $102 monthly and I call every month to have them check on it to no avail. I did get them to admit it was not cancelled in April but it was cancelled sometime in May 2024. No idea why they waited a month longer but still I do believe the policy has been cancelled according to numerous nursing home personnel but ****** ******** office is telling me that Humana continues to withhold $40.10 & 62.50 monthly. I have requested refunds and every month they tell me they are issuing a refund and will stop holding out of the SS check. I have no idea where to turn to now as I do not have enough funds to pay the nursing home monthly due to Humana still withholding $102 monthly since May 2024.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:A thorough review was most definitely not completed because Humana would have seen a detailed log on their system of the many previously requests to stop charging us monthly. Humana stated in this response they ended the insurance coverage in May 2024 (I had requested it to end in April 2024) and Humana is still charging $102.60 monthly as late as November 2024. Humana now owes us $718.20 as of today.

I am rejecting this response because:I have contacted Humana on 9+ different occasions beginning in April of 2024 in an attempt to cancel this service and I don't have any reason to suspect another phone call will stop the charges. As of this date, Nov 2024, I am still being charged from Humana after the service was cancelled in May of 2024. I have also reached out to the Insurance Commissioner of Mississippi and was advised to start a legal process. We do intend to start this in December and will be seeking the amounts withheld illegally along with punitive damages.

I should not even be required to file in your words "a grievance" to have your business to stop stealing from me. Your business should have ceased the first time I called (and filed a grievance) to cancel the service in April 2024. Rather, seven months later and you are still stealing money from us. I have filed "a grievance" 10 - 12 times with Humana. All of them recorded on your system. My Uncle ***** ****** passed away yesterday but this case will not rest until that $717.50 is back in his account. If you steal any further funds from us on the next check from ****** ********, those will be added to this amount and I will include interest we could have earned at my bank plus the legal fees.

For over 2 years I've received calls and texts from Humana. I have never had an acct with them and have repeatedly asked them to take my business phone number off of their call/ text list. I'm tired/ aggregated with the harassment. I have blocked around 30 numbers from them. They say they will take my number off then turn around and call again. It's insane!Business Response
