      Their prescription plan sucks. I just got it and Marien the representative told me my meds were covered. But they were not. I have to take a hormone free medicine for menopause symptoms due to cancer risk. I have had several cysts removed. But they deny it. So now I am having withdrawal and their solution is nerve medicine or hormone replacement therapy that could potentially give me cancer and kill me. So be aware that you need to double check behind your representing because they don't seem concerned about meds and won't call you back even if the give you a number. You are not important to them once you get the policy. If you take medicine that needs prior approval the answer will be NO. It does not matter if your way of life and health depends on it. They had rather put you on stuff that does not work for you and potentially harmful.
      The medical has been ok and dental as well. But now i have trust issues.
      Just don't depend on them for meds because the reps have no knowledge and disappear when you need them. Do not trust Marien.

      When I started Medicare it was explained to me that whatever insurance company I chose that they were required to cover EVERYTHING that Medicare covers - they can cover more, BUT NOT LESS.
      Well. the area I live in has very few options to choose from so I chose Humana Advantage. Whar a mistake that I am stuck with. They deny any surgery that my doctor requests - they would rather I continue to take pain medication and I would prefer to have the surgery so that I would no longer need the pain medications.
      I have made several calls to Humana and they do not care at all and said they do not have to cover everything that Medicare does. They also sent me a list of other things to try - LOL if they had read my chart they would see that we (myself and my doctor) had tried EVERYTHING on the list.
      I also tried receiving their Centerwell medication through the mail. I expected to receive my meds every three months - my mistake - at the end of the year I counted all of the meds that I had over-received - some of them an additional 6 months worth. This caused me to go into the horrid "GAP" during the last 2 months of the year. I cancelled getting medication through the mail, gave the list of excessive medications to my pharmacist and she filled my monthly scripts until the extras were used up.
      I called Humana/Centerwell to give them the information of what had occurred and was given the impression they didn't care about overcharging the government. In fact, I later received a letter from Humana expressing their dismay that I brought this to their attention (I guess they would prefer to commit fraud on the government). This is one of the reasons our medications are so high because I am sure that I am not the only patient that this has happened to.

      Plus 24/7 customer service to help with any issues such as finding a in network medical doctor or any doctor for that matter or any other issues everytime I call their customer service is above and beyond my expectations
      I have also never got a person with a accent that I can't understand their call staff is mostly African American and White from my experience and they love to joke around to brighten your day and better your experience

      Less than a month in, and Humana is even worse that United! Providers won't even take me, because Humana never fills claims! They offer "Healthy Benefits" for a monthly "Spending Account" and claimed that I can use it for everything, but I cannot. Their app is garbage and they are liars.

      Humana thru icarecar is absolutely horrible. They left me stranded at physical therapy rehab water Aerobic I’m recovering from TBI from a horrible car accident. I was in a coma for 9 weeks therefore physical therapy is very important for me to be apart therefore I scheduled my appointment accordingly every appointment is between one and two hours a day and when I scheduled every about I let them know I will call when I’m ready to picked up assumed and immediately came back in a hour however I was in the water during water aerobics with no cell phone access and they tried calling and put me as no show. And refused to pick me up. When clearly my instructor said I’ll called when I’m ready to be picked up because my classes are one or two hours sessions. I had to google the customer service department number to call because when I have water Aerobicsi don’t being my wallet or anything. Customer service had call the transportation company on three ways to get them to get them to get me back home after about 15 more mins they sent me a Uber got me home safe today they 1/15/25 I have the same trip booked they didn’t come or call this company is horrible I will change my Medicare service from humane because this physical therapy important to me.

      Received notification that my Plan D insurance premium was going up 17%. I was not happy but was willing to accept it for one year. Then when I was charged for Januarys charge, they jacked it up to a 60% increase with out warning. No one would help with what happened at Humana so I filed a complaint with Medicare office, I tried to file a grievance with Humana and their website just shut down and wouldn't allow me to. I also wrote a letter complaining to my Congressman and will try to let as many people know about the horrible customer service and possibly illegal things they are doing on websites like this. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!

      Ever since I left UnitedHealthcare and went with Humana they have put me through hell and back about five times in 3 months I advise you strongly never to go with you manner they are unprofessional unexperienced uncooperative and they are the worst health insurance company you can ever get near stay away stay away from Humana and stick with another competitor United healthcare happens to be the best Anthony M

      I verified my medications directly with Humana, NOT A 3RD PARTY, and they verified all were free or minimal cost. THEY LIED! MY 2 MAIN NECESSARY FOR MIGRAINE ARE NOW COMPLETELY DENIED.
      They claim there is nothing they can do and claim they will investigate. Nothing to investigate - they are NOT to be trusted!
      I will go back to Cigna when I have a chance

      Humana is terrible. My 87 year old father has been having issues with low hemoglobin 5.2 and he was sent to the hospital by his doctor. My father was so weak he could barely walk with assistance. He was confused and his oxygen level was very low. He was admitted to the hospital and received 2 units of blood and his claim was denied. I appealed on his behalf and they denied the appeal. Two weeks later he went by ambulance back to the hospital and we are waiting to see how they back out of paying this claim. I am going to contact my State Rep and see what we can do about these big insurance companies denying claims that are valid.

      They lie lie lie. I had dental coverage in 2024. The dentist started making my new Dentures the 16th of Dec. And because of the holidays they wouldn't be ready until Jan the second week. No humana says I have not dental coverage they will not pay for my Dentures even though I had coverage when the were started I called humana to make sure they said yes they would pay. Now dome guy that can't speak English said no they would not pay for 2025 I had no dental coverage. So now I stop Dr visits my medication and if God's willing and I make it till the end of the year i will get rid of Humana. You can't trust anyone these. They lie to you and what's bad they rip you off with a smile on their faces. Just don't trust any humana rep.
