      I switched to Humana this year and have regretted it every day. In my opinion, their system is purposely confusing, inefficient and tricky. For a medication that is covered by all insurance companies (except Humana) I had to download a pdf claim form, fax it in (in 2025!) with all supporting docs, wait a month to receive an approval and then need to call in 5 times to be notified a) it was under re-evaluation, and b) that I would need to download a "Reimbursement Authorization Form" from their website that is inexistant. Call after call to be delayed, put on hold for over 30 mins at a time, having to identify myself endless times. If you request to speak with a supervisor, it will take another 30 mins. WHAT A JOKE! I will opt out of Humana this year to never return.

      If I could give a zero review, I would. I’ve had five calls, with different Humans supervisors, over three months, discussing a claim submitted by my primary physician. I’m supposed to have a zero copay with pcp but Humana denied $40 of a pcp office visit. When I disputed it, it was in review for three months! Finally they still decided the $40 was my responsibility because the visit was coded for mental health. This has been going on far too long and their decision is wrong. I’m going to pay my provider and I can’t wait for open enrollment so I can change insurance companies.

      We have learned from my parents experiences with Humana you do not want them. They deny every thing from chemotherapy meds to physical therapy. They aren’t interested in getting you healthy and on your own feet. We will drop them come fall for them. And my age group who will son be there will never take Humana.

      Hi,
      I wanted to share a frustrating experience I’ve had with Humana Dental Insurance regarding the approval process for a routine periodontic procedure. It took nearly four months to get a resolution, requiring significant time and effort from both myself and my doctor’s office. I had to make numerous calls, and each time I spoke with a representative, it felt like I was starting from scratch—none of the previous information seemed to be recorded or referenced. The process felt unnecessarily difficult, almost as if designed to discourage patients from pursuing care. The representatives often lacked accountability and a clear understanding of the case. Given this experience, I’m seriously considering opting out of this coverage during the next open enrollment. I hope this feedback can be shared to help prevent similar issues for others.

      We were notified on Good Friday that we had till Monday to move my 91-year-old mother out of the skilled nursing facility. Multiple calls to Humana customer service with promises to help give the 3 day notice included Easter, but they did nothing and eventually said they would file a grievance.
      Terrible customer service and coverage.
      Stay away from them and their Medicare Advantage Plan.

      I was a member of Humana the month of February 2025 I received a spending account card when I tried to use it ,it wouldn't work I called and complained there was another card sent for one hundred dollars it wouldn't work then a third card and hours of calls I filed a grievance and was denied they owe me one hundred dollars they were paid the premium that month and they totally wrecked everything .
      I guess they will steal the money from me and forget about it but I'm not going to let it go .I had nothing to do with the problem with the cards can someone help me

      Absolutely horrible. I was told last year that my insulin was covered (not). And I wasn't told ANYTHING about a deductible. I didn't receive about the plan via email or by mail. I am not happy! I am in my 60's, and I am wishing my life away, but I can't wait until October to get rid of this trash! BTW, I have had it for years.

      Sold me Humana with cannot be used in Maine. Now they won't stop sending mail emails and phone calls.spent 6 hours on phone. No one can help. Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Do not get human insurance ever.

      Humana hasn’t started off well for me. When signing up your promised one thing and then when it comes down to it you don’t get what they say. When signing up their Medicare it’s once a year your stuck with this awful company for a long time I would say think long and hard before signing up read the reviews see that I’m not the only one saying the same thing. Humana is profit driven company answering to shareholders let me assure you our medical needs come in behind profits everytime.

      I have had Humana less than 17 days and day one I realized I had been mislead. I worked to change it is as soon as I come to understand I had been mislead. My health concerns have been life threatening twice over the last year and my health is still in very sensitive situation. I have been bounced around and deceived over and over again spending way too much time trying to resolve this issue. I have now missed and had to reschedule doctors appointments twice at a time I’m still recovering from major lifesaving surgery. There has been little to no concern for my health or any issues I have had. Humana seems to care less about quality of care and lore a profits shared with shareholders. When we sign up for medical care and we are locked into a policy for a year it needs to fit our needs I did my due diligence to make sure all my concerns was addressed and then come to find out I had been mislead. I am on medication that requires me to get them in a timely manner on schedule or it can create even bigger issues for me. This is not the case and I have encountered delay after delay and no one seems willing to address this. I spent 14 days last year in ICU with two spontaneous pneumothorax and had lung resectioning surgery with the other lung equally as bad I don’t make mistakes when my health is concerned I have learned how fragile it can be. If I can save one person from making the mistake of choosing Humana and save them the headache and mental stress I have been going through.
