******* and ******* scripts offer some of the worst medically run services. They are both run by very lazy personnel who give you the run around instead of taking action and doing their job. Customers cannot complain to anyone because its a faceless organization of answering machines and automated answering services. We get denials for prescriptions and stay on the phone for hours trying to get it correct to have them filled. Countless times medication that is a necessity to my wife's physical well being was denied and so she missed her daily doses. Missing these doses could cause death. Talking to customer service people to fix the issue does not work because the personnel are incompetent. We have been given bad information countless times when asked why they allow people into customer service that don't know what they are doing they say we record all calls we will have to listen back and determine the issue. Nothing is being done to change the broken systems they just pass the buck until the problem goes away..... what a shame I served 20 yrs for this type of service.

Complete garbage, Tri care west is horrific when it comes to taking care of veterans! All they care about is screwing vets out of money. Tri care prime is such garbage! Not to mention the oxygen thief's they have working for them. Without letting the individuals know that their "referrals" have ended, they then get to charge the individual more. It gets even better, you call to talk to a "specialist" and they say there is nothing they can do and that your basically screwed and on the hook for a large sum of money. Absolutely no empathy or even an attempt to work with the veteran, just, "sorry nothing I can do".

1 Star is 1 more than Humana deserves. My issues started in Februrary of 2022 when the company decided to go "paperless". We never got notified that this was happening so never got the bill for 2022. Luckily I recieved notice through DEERs that my tricare had been suspended due to non-payment (this was lucky since I was still within the 90 grace period). I was able to pay my bill and get tricare re-instated. While I was on the phone I requested that I recieve paper bills as that is how we know when and what to pay. The individual said no problem that they would turn paper billing back on for us. 2023 rolls around and we do not recieve a paper bill as we were told that we would. I get another message through DEERs stating tricare has been dropped. This time I was outside the 90 grace period. It was at this time that I was informed that they sent an email to an address that I no longer owned. I asked for reinstatement and was denied because it was not during "open season" and the only other was was with a qualifying life event (Of which I don't have any). So I am without medical insurance for the next 7 months due to the incompence of Humana Military.

DO NOT USE CHCBP if transitioning out of the military. I purchased this insurance to make my transition out of the military easier because I was pregnant and due to deliver right after I got out of the military. I've had several issues with claims, registering my newborn into the system and having this insurance cover their claims, and conflicting customer service information. All of this for paying a lot of money for this COBRA plan. In hindsight, I would have chosen a different insurance. We don't even have CHCBP anymore and I'm having difficulty with one of my child's claims being paid even though they can tell that he had insurance. It is frustrating.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. There is no way, an insurance company servicing the men and women who protect our country should be so poor in service. You need a referral for anything. Therefore, if a serviceman or woman is dealing with a mental health crisis, until they can get a referral from the primary care physician, they cannot seek medical attention. Egregious! Trying to locate an in-network PCP, should you live outside of a military town is like trying to locate a needle in a haystack. There are no lists of providers readily available. Contacting customer service in the Secure Messaging Center is a joke. I can't believe the people who only send you a non-working link are actually on someone's payroll. When you reply that the link isn't working, they send you to the chat. Only the chat never has any representatives to actually chat. Meanwhile, the premium must continue to be paid while no services are rendered. This is ridiculous and I am appalled that the military allows this type of coverage.

Mind-numbingly bad. I had pre-Humana Tricare East for years with no problems, then moved west and had ten years of superb Tricare West. I moved back east 3 months ago, and it has been nightmarish. Examples of things that Tricare East completely fails at:
      1) With Tricare West, when searching for a PCM, I could search within 5 miles. With Humana, my search is limited to within 20 miles of my zip code, which gave me 1,100 doctors. Trying to narrow things down, I can search by address of the provider, but that's based on the number of the street address! So #1 A Street in a city 20 miles to the west could show up first, and #1 A street in a city 20 miles to the east could show up 2nd! Not by town! Or I could search by specialty, such as family practice, and narrow it down to hundreds of doctors within 20 miles, many who wouldn't take Tricare Prime or new customers.
      2) When you pick a doctor, you can't see that doctor's background. I had to search other sites, whereas Tricare West didn't require that.
      3) I don't get the same referral form online that the provider gets, unlike Tricare West, but rather a slimmed-down version that doesn't list the codes the provider needs. I called Tricare seven times on one referral, over weeks as I was giving them time to react after each call, all because the provider said the referral was missing key information. So I would call Tricare, who would assure me it was correct, but that they would fax out a referral with the requested info. Then I would call the provider, who would say the fax hadn't fixed it. Seven times I did this, including talking to three supervisors. And Tricare said they could never follow up with me, even after a half dozen calls, because they are a call center only.
I'm still dealing with referral #2 submitted 2 months ago, that finally was released from a military facility too busy to do it, but days later it still isn't released in the system to pursue someone "locally."
      Gross technical incompetence

The ********* medical insurance for military let alone their familiy members, my wife is 63 years of age and has been suffering from neuropathy and is on the EFMP program, but she cant get any chiropractic help which seems to be the only plausible solution to her relief, all the medicines she gets only give temporary to no relief. She is on Medicare part B too. But its sad service members are given different care than family as if family is means shit to Tricare.
Sadly we call the service to the nation a sacrifice for reasons like this !!!

Horrible! Fraud, waste and abuse using beneficiary money to pay for telephone lines that say "Thank you for calling Humana Military, Goodbye!" Why does the military waste their money on useless non-service -service provider? The military needs to find a real service provider. Tried several numbers over the most recent four working days with the same recorded response and hang up. January 2023.

Absolutely Disgusting Treatment of Our Military
Families We have been fighting for 80% reimbursement for prenatal care for over a year and a half. Every time we call at the end of yet another
"30 days processing period" (because they NEVER call or communicate first) we are informed something else is needed that wasn't needed prior. Every person you speak with tells you something different, departments "aren't able" to talk to each other so no one knows what is going on. Asking to speak with a supervisor does nothing - there is absolutely no accountability. Representatives require varying levels of identification (if an) and one even asked for our banking information "for reimbursement purposes" when reimbursements are sent via check! I have never been more disrespected. During the last call we were informed our claim would "probably be denied because it's been over a vear so it wasn't filed timely" - our claim was filed IMMEDIATELY-
Humana just drags out the process hoping you'll give up or that it'll take long enough for them to give themselves a loophole so they can avoid paying for services they claim to cover.
      One star is too many.

This is a large evil organization that must absolutely hate the military. They are supposed to support us, however, they do everything in their power to make it difficult on providers and beneficiaries alike. It is nearly impossible to get a federal approved without hours of double-checking and follow up from the sponsor. Once approved, it is often to a provider that is not established and may even be very far away. The draconian referral process never gets routed in the “24-48 hours” that Humana claims and there is absolutely no chance of appealing when Humana pulls a change. This organization is supposed to support our military, but they’re actually creating significant hardship. I will be appealing to my congressional delegates to please push to have another company handle the active duty tricare health insurance. These folks should fell the utmost shame the fraud that they are openly committing on those who need support the most!
