We bought $6565.10 worth of equipment for our handicapped granddaughter - a stair lift and a pool - lift from Goulds Discount Medical 2 years ago. Now that we need the Pool Lift serviced since it is not working (after being used just a few times in one summer season), they have closed their Service Dept and have no recommendations of anyone who can service all this equipment!!!
And yes, I have spent 2 days googling & making phone call after phone call (even to the manufacturer) and still have not found someone to service our pool lift!! What a waste of $2600 - not to mention how sad it is for our disabled 14 yr old daughter & her parents whose backs are already ruined by lifting constantly! I cannot even give one star!!!

The back brace was not the right size & would have fit my son who is 6Ft tall!! I couldn’t sit down with it on because it literally choked me because it was so big. My neighbor was here & couldn’t believe the error they made & she called Gould’s & told them it had to be returned - we got the address, UPS picked it up from my house. I keep getting bills from Gould’s saying I owe them money & I’ve explained to them whoever received the package did not then cancel my account! The last supervisor I talked to seemed to understand my problem & I thought it was resolved & then yesterday I got another bill with another late fee. I’m tired of calling them & I guess now I’ll have to get an attorney! This has been going on since March & I’m just glad my neighbor was here so I have a witness!!

Negative stars would be too good for this place. We waited 4 hours to be discharged bc we were waiting on a nebulizer. I told the nurse I could get it quicker from Amazon. This was a Thursday….was told Goulds would deliver that evening. It’s now the following Wednesday and after calling almost every day and being told it was getting delivered every single time!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME GETTING ANYTHING FROM THEM….GO ELSEWHERE!!!

We went to the hospital to get my wife a boot but we ended up not needing one. She tried one on, but didnt like the fit. We decided against the boot and specifically asked HMH if we were getting charged since we DECLINED the boot! They ensured us that we would NOT get charged for it. Fastforward we get a bill from this shit company for the BOOT. My wife calls and tells them. They cant do anything and tell us to call the hospital. We do, it moves up the chain and they tell Goulds and tell us theyre supposed to refund our money. Its been 4 weeks of this back and forth s***. They auto stole our $230 from our account without our consent... **** them.

Please avoid this business if at all possible. I received an arm sling ($9 online) after hand surgery in December to immobilize my arm until block wore off. They had the nerve to bill my insurance $168 for the sling and when insurance denied they billed me $93. Most unethical company I have ever seen. I was not made aware by the surgical facility where I had the surgery done in that they outsource their DME to Gould's so if you plan to have any surgery that will require any DME (durable medical equipment) make sure they do not outsource to Gould's.

Gould’s provided a leg brace through my surgeon’s office. This exact brace, manufactured by Donjoy, can be purchased retail from Donjoy for $250. (They’re on sale currently for $230.)
Gould’s Discount? Medical initially billed my insurance company $980. for this brace.
This was declined, then Gould’s lowered the bill to $480. , which unfortunately was accepted and paid by my insurance company.
Gould’s obviously buys these braces wholesale from Donjoy for significantly less that their $250 retail price and apparently gets away with price gouging insurance companies with well over a 100% mark-up, after initially trying to collect on a 300%+ mark up.
This is an unacceptable, greedy, disgusting abuse of insurance companies as well as of people suffering, in need of medical equipment.
I hope someone reads this that can actually do something about this incredibly bad behavior.

Please boycott this company by refusing to buy any products offered by Gould’s DISCOUNT Medical.

Their website does not work (got a time-out error), reordering supplies is a baffling and highly manual process (was transferred to three different departments), and the SNAP app that their texts reference for reordering does not connect with Goulds and throws an error. These are just a few items I have had in trying to engage with them. I guess I'm just very confused why they make it so incredibly difficult to order their products. Wouldn't they want their customers to seamlessly connect? There is so much friction with trying to perform basic tasks it's a true head-scratcher. Is this the experience they want for their customers?

This company needs to be looked at by the Attorney General's office. They operate under at least 3 names that I know (Gould's, Premier Home Care, and Adapt Health). Based on my experience and from reading other's comments, I know they prey on the elderly and probably defraud insurance companies.
Currently they are billing me for a nebulizer that I purchased with cash (debit card). I have my receipt and all paperwork. Now, I am getting billed for that item that I purchased in full payment of $49.95. The statement shows a current balance of $49.95 and a past due balance of $52.95 (includes $3 fee) for a total balance due from me of $102.90. (This is a $34 item on Amazon). They call me daily. Today they asked me to update my bank card account. Which I learned last year that you should never give them your banking information, they will never stop charging your account. They will refuse to give you any kind of statement or EOB. And, even if you tell them that you do not give them permission to debit your personal bank account, they will anyway. Last year they debited my account for approx. $350 more than owed them without my permission. My bank refunded my money and I had to cancel my bank card and open a new one. My warning to every one is do not give them your banking information and keep all paper work/receipts. (this company is not even a 1 star rating)

Unfortunately, Gould's has a bit of a monopoly in Louisville on rental of a hospital bed. The frustration with dealing with them is unimaginable. They were to deliver an electric hospital bed and a hoyer lift for my sister's use. They were to deliver it on 12/15, before my sister's discharge at 3:30pm, as she is bedridden. When I spoke with Amber who, I assume, is in their customer service department, I explained that the equipment needed to be delivered by 5pm, as it is dark where the ramp used for delivery is located. There was absolutely no call beforehand to let me know when the equipment would be delivered. Then, at 7:45 pm that evening, I received a call that the bed was available for delivery. I requested they deliver it the next morning since it was apparently already on the truck. The guy said he would talk to his boss and get back with me. I heard nothing back, and after several additional calls, have still not received a call back. As a consequence, my sister's discharge is delayed, and she has to pay about $1,000 extra in caregiving costs even though she was not able to use them due to the delay. So far, there has been no attempt to provide a minimal of professionalism in resolving this matter. My sister is till waiting.

Well, here I am again. I wrote a review on 10/20/2022 that I would like to update. Unfortunately, I have nothing better to report. After writing that review, I received a call from the local store that same day and was told by a Gould's customer service representative that my account shows that I "own" my CPAP versus "rental" and that I should not receive any more bills from Gould's. Well, low and behold, I get a text and an email today, almost two months later, saying that I owe $51.68 which will be automatically deducted on my credit card this month. This charge is from 08/05/2022, which by the way, was deducted from my credit card in August. After spending over an hour of my time talking to not only our local Gould's store, but their billing department as well, I am now told that this will be my last payment. How am I supposed to believe this as I was told in October that I owned my unit and would receive no more bills. This is ridiculous!! If I could give their billing department zero stars, I would.
