Filed a claim for fabric (grass/mulch) on a chair. I attempted twice to file, and was denied both times. Company advised grass/mulch not covered, however it clearly indicates this on the protection coverage that was purchased. $190 down the drain. Furniture store was kind enough to help, but Guardian would not offer them any support either. BEWARE of this company.

Absolutely horrible experience. We purchased a protection plan on our sleeper sofa at **** *********. Our son tripped and fell onto the corner of the pull out bed and part of the frame separated. So we filed a claim, first off communication was horrendous as they would tell us to wait for a call that never came. It felt like we were always getting the run around. When we finally did get a response they told us the claim was not covered because "they didn't cover everyday wear and tear" on what planet in what universe is someone falling onto and through a bed everyday wear. Absolutely ridiculous. So they told us to appeal which led to getting the run around again waiting on a response that never came. Called again today and got told it just came across the agents desk and they will review it today and we would for sure receive an answer today. A few hours later we got a denial email with zero further explanation.
This is an absolute SCAM company who will do anything but provide the service they were paid for, I sorely regret not reading these reviews before I bought the plan otherwise these people wouldn't have gotten a dime from me.
I implore anyone reading this to not purchase one of their plans as they won't cover you anyway, horrible company if I could give them negative stars I would.Guardian Protection Products, Inc

If I could give this company NEGATIVE stars I would. I'm honestly thinking of spending Saturday out front of ***** ********* on the sidewalk holding a sign to tell everyone NOT to buy it regardless of what the sales person said. I filed a legit claim for a chase via phone. They NEVER asked what happened, just what's wrong. 2 weeks later they denied the claim because it couldn't be contributed to an accident, which it was, they never asked. So they told me to refile it with that info. I did. They declined it again because it was a 'repeat claim'. This company is a scam artist. They should just move the HQ to Calcutta India and join the phone scammers. You pay money and get nothing. What did I pay $500 for? I'm assuming the sales person's commission and that's it. To say they are a warranty company is a COMPLETE JOKE. This has cost ***** any future business from me. I'd rather pay $600 more for a quality item at Jordans than save only $100 by wasting $500 on a BOGUS insurance company.Guardian Protection Products, Inc

I bought a lift chair about a year ago and I bought the protection plan from guardian but when I called they refused to honor the protection plan..the chair has separated on the back and all the velcro has came off ..they said it's not covered but I know it is ..awful crooks take your money and don't honor their servicesGuardian Protection Products, Inc

Guardian is the most waste of money as after we’ve purchased a Goof Proof Plan through Bob’s furniture they sent out a repair man when our electric recliner started to have trouble reclining. The repair stated that it was a problem with the frame, and not the electrical components, now Guardian has denied the repair saying it doesn’t cover electrical problem. I have contacted Guardian again with absolutely no response from them. If this is how they honor their warranty I will make sure anyone buying furniture knows to never buy the warranty.Guardian Protection Products, Inc

1 starPaid for this protection service through bobs discount furniture. Had the recliner portion of our couch get stuck in the out position. The head portion of the recliner still worked. Service tech came out and tried to figure out what was wrong with couch. He said that it was the switch and that it would be mailed to us and we'd have to setup another appointment to have it installed. A week later we get an email stating that the switch was not covered under warranty. So now the foot and head portion do not work. I called the company and I was told case was closed. I said so now my couch is worse off than before the tech came and I'm just supposed to be ok with that. Customer service tech said yes, the case is closed. So I paid for a service that is no good to me and their techs are allowed to further break my furniture with no repercussions. I will never ever use this company again!!!!Review fromTracey L

Guardian Protection is slow in resolving your issues or they will not fix the issues all together. It took one and half years for the parts to be mailed to ****'s Fine Furniture to get my recliner and Love seat fixed. I submitted another claim for my sofa with the same issue as my recliner and love seat and was told they will not be fixing it due to the date I type on my claim. I was told that I only had 30 day to report an issue when it is noticed. This is the first time I was told this information. Only today (6/25/24) was I provided with the terms and conditions of the coverage of my furniture. My plan was activated on 05/08/21, will expire on 5/08/2026. Which mean my sofa should still be covered. This has been a NIGHTMARE!!!! ******* and *****************************Guardian Protection Products, Inc

Terrible this guardian protection plan is fraud. I bought the protection plan for my couch was never told what it didn't cover but was told what was coved. My couch rip along the seems and a stain. Filed a claim they kept asking over and over for documents which I sent them along with the proof of insurance I paid. Received a email it didn't cover it then I get what's not covered which made no sense. Whether it was ripped or seemed coming apart or a stain it still had an excuse as why it wasn't covered. 1 starGuardian may be the most shamelessly deceptive company operating in the insurance and insurance-adjacent industry. That is not hyperbole. I purchased a "Goof Proof" plan from Bob's and filed a claim with Guardian when someone improperly sat down too hard/fast onto my couch and snapped the wooden frame. Guardian denied the claim (because its explicit business is the bad faith denial of otherwise legitimate claims), alleging that the accident occurred during "normal use" of the product.
First and foremost, the policy have is not limited in such a way; in fact, the opposite is stated on Page 2: "This Plan covers accidental damage from normal household use as described herein..." Even if there was such a "normal use" exception in my policy (and there plainly isn't, Guardian fabricated it retroactively), someone essentially falling back onto the couch instead of sitting down properly and breaking it is not "normal use" under anyone's definition of what normal use is.
There is a term in the insurance industry known as "bad faith claim denial" - this perfectly characterizes what Guardian's business is and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. "Scam" also suffices.
