WINDOW PACK ASSEMBLY -Part Number WB56X27502 was twice ordered by phone 4/2/2025 & 4/7/2025. Currently online order made 4/9/2025 appears to be processing. Twice the phone orders were canceled with no notification and the lady of the can not use the oven. I was also charged three different prices. Please read the attatched email. Today I called them to dispute and they had me on call for 45 mins “talking to supervisor” and then had no records of my call. So I had to call back the best they could do was give me $50 for the inconvirncr e and change the warranty to restart for one year

The dryer is leaving black marks on sheets. I have determined that the marks are caused by clothes brushing up against the edge of a metal plate at the back of the drum. I can demonstrate this, and have videos showing it, by rubbing a white cloth at this edge, which will produce the same black marks that have shown up on my sheets. I called GE at the first sign of this problem and they sent a tech out. He observed my demonstration and decided to replace the drum. The exact same problem happened after the drum was replaced. It is a clear manufacturing defect that cannot be fixed because it appears the exact same way in two separate drums. After the problem continued after the drum was replaced, I again scheduled a service call with GE. They again sent the same tech, he again observed my demonstration and verified the issue, and said he would contact technical assistance but nothing was done. I had to call again several weeks later, and their only response is to again send another tech for another inspection. In the meantime, I am losing money due to damaged linens and an inability to use the machine safely without damaging more items. Several sets of sheets and pillow cases have been ruined and I have lost time and rental income due to the slow and inadequate response by GE. The slow and careless response is not acceptable from such a large, well-funded company. I paid for a product and it is useless to me. I want to be compensated in the form a a new machine of a different model and i want them to take away the old one. I would like to share videos that I have demonstrating clearly the cause of the issue.Business Response

We purchased a GE Combo Washer/Dryer from Home Depot.
We paid $2,183.73
We had it professionally delivered and installed 06/26/2024
Immediately noticed the washer was loud and had a clicking (banging) noise. Later a loud airplane noise started in addition to the loud clicking (banging) noise.
We have been trying to get this resolved since 07/20/2025
I'm attaching a brief explanation below, but does not have all the details.
We saved all our text, videos, and emails and can send them to you just need to be given and email address that can refer to this initial complaint.

The GE profile dryer we purchased from Costco in 10/2024 (see the receipt attached) has not worked properly since 02/2025. GE came four times already, and replaced several components. The last time they even took the dryer apart (see attached pic) and changed something. But it did not address the issue. Clothes were still damp, and we still needed to run it twice to get these clothes dry. We have scheduled a 5th visit, but we are getting really tired of these frequent visits.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because the following reasons:They came to replace a new dryer today. But as you can see in the attached Dryer_Vent.jpg, they did not install the exhaust vent properly; they just tried to insert it to the exhaust hole without securely installing it. And the vent appears to be slightly damaged. We are only aware of that after they left:(.
After carefully checking our record from the previous installation, I figured out what the delivery guy today did it wrongly. We had our own dryer exhaust vent (which was installed by a dryer vent company; their vent was shorter, easier to set up with our laundry room, and more effective). In 10/2024 when we got the new GE dryer delivered by Costco, the Costco delivery guy did it correctly by keeping our original vent and did not use the vent came with the new dryer (please see the attached picture Dryer_Vent_Original.jpg I took on the installation day in 10/2024). The delivery/installation team today just teared the original vent off and replaced it with the vent that comes with the replacement. This new vent is just too long, and was not properly attached.
I do not understand it. This stuff is fire hazard related, so they must be much more serious. No thing but trouble and trouble.

After multiple phone calls with Ge appliance, I was reassured a GE technician would be to my home, took time off of work to wait for a technician to no-show through GE appliance which started on February 26 of 2025. I was told yesterday that they would no longer be able to help me as they do not have a technician in my area. Very disappointed in the way I was treated as a customer and my time was wasted only to be given the runaround. When I first called them, I was informing them that their product had leaked water all over my floor and into my basement, which could have caused a fire.Business Response

I went to Lowe's and purchased a window unit from GE advertised as cooling and heating, I purchased it mainly for the heating portion, because I have limited space and thought it would be a great idea to have the air and heater together in one package. I purchased the unit and had it installed a week later. I paid to have it installed and when I turned it on the heat was not working. I left it on for 15 minutes excepting that it need to warm up, that was not the case. It didn't work at all. The air conditioner didn't work either. Immediately contacted the service provider and through GE and scheduled a service call. The day before the servicing I received a call. The caller had told me that my unit cannot be serviced. I then contacted Lowe's. They had told me I had 48 hours to return major appliances! The reason I made the service call is because I paid to have the unit installed, I didn't want to continue to pay someone to take it out. I can't return it, I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to do so. This brand new appliance doesn't work and the costs to me are becoming extreme. They only offer me a rebate so they expect me to go purchase another GE appliance, that may not work. I have provided our correspondence. Along with the pictures I have sent. I want my money back not a rebate. Also upon investigation I noticed a lot of people having the same problems from the same model. With the exact same results. The burden is on the consumer, to maybe buy a good one, I assume if I did buy another GE appliance and it didn't work, they wouldn't refund me. It would end with me holding two broken appliances and regretting allowing them to push me to buy another GE product. I want to bring awareness to the consumers of the battle to buy a new product and it work. If it is just junk that didn't work when you spend 500 plus dollars on it. i purchased a GE PROFILE in december 2023. so far we have had the repairman out 6 times and we are waiting for him to come on Monday, again. talking to GE today (1 hr 26 min) and all they tell us is they gave us extended warranty until Sept 2025. he responded they will get this machine up to par by then. what???? i bought a brand new washer expecting it to be "up to par". we are getting the run around by GE. according to the supervisor what happened last night is a health and fire hazard! this is NOT acceptable. if they cant fix it they will give us a discount on a new machine. this is NOT acceptable as we bought their washer thinking we would have one for a few years. being on social security this is not something i take lightly, i cant afford to go buy a new washer so soon. and i do NOT want them to replace this machine, as i would not trust another ge in this house. i would like for them to refund my money. we are having repairman in here about every 2 months. this time it was only march 6 2025 when we filed last time. so now getting down to every month. there has got to be a lemon law in PA to protect someone. i would appreciate any help you can give me. thank youBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: it was nice that you apologized, but that does not help with all the trouble we are going thru with the washer. technician just left, putting in a new shifter. now we wait and see what goes next. you told me on the phone this number of breakdowns is not normal for this machine. this time we went 6 days without a washer. we bought this washer valuing GE as putting out good products, but we are very upset about all the time wasted on phone calls to you and waiting for repair to be made. i will look forward to your phone call tomorrow. now we sit here and wonder if it will last another month before another breakdown. this is no way to live. thank you

I purchased a GE AHEK10AC Window AC Unit for almost $400. Upon unboxing the unit and plugging it in, it started making noises as loud as a motorcycle. After 90 seconds of having it on my ears were ringing and my neighbor came to see if I was okay. I feel like I’ve been scammed here.
I was offered a Goodwill Rebate. Even then, this requires me to wait to receive the Rebate and it yet again puts me in a spot of having to spend another $400 before I get $400 back.
$400 is no joke, maybe to you guys at GE it is nothing. But I have drained money on this. I even had to cancel my installation today and pay a fee. All I’m asking for is a replacement unit where I don’t have to come out of pocket. This has been a nightmare. Even though all my appliances are GE, you bet that the next time around I’ll be shopping somewhere else.
I have a video if anyone wants to hear how outlandish this unit sounds. DO NOT BUY GE WINDOW AC UNITS.Business Response
