I have bought replacement filters for my reverse osmosis water filter every 6 months for 5 years. Each time I bought them at **** ***** and they came with a battery for the faucet. The manual for this system says it comes with a battery AND the paper inside the replacement package talks about a warning that the "battery" has a chemical that they need to warn you about. This last time I did not receive a battery inside the filters. I called customer service and the lady said "we don't provide batteries". I said I had in every other package and she told me to contact **** ***** since that's where I bought them. It's a GE product not a **** ***** product. She basically called me a liar when I told her what the manual said and the insert said that came with the replacement filters. She said I need to go buy one. I am not happy with this response. She should have referred me to a supervisor not called me a liar!

Consumer advocates and on a recorded line. I had several conversations with multiple representatives regarding my profile refrigerator and as a week my broken fridge is still broken.

GE GPT225SGL2WW – A Complete Lemon. GE, Keep Your “Courtesy Call.”
We purchased the GE GPT225SGL2WW (Serial #: FZ608523K) in February 2024 and it’s been a disaster from day one.
The original unit couldn’t even be used because the spigot that connects to the tap was defective. GE said the part wouldn’t be available until September — for a brand new appliance. We pushed back, and they replaced it.
That replacement? It lasted less than 2 weeks before breaking down due to an internal fuse. We called for service — it was repaired. Three weeks later, it broke again — control panel issue. Another part had to be ordered. We waited weeks for another fix.
December rolls around: another failure. Another service call. Another technician visit. We were told, because of all the repeated issues, that GE would give us a 1-year warranty extension.
Fast forward to May 2025 — it breaks AGAIN. We try to book a service call and are told our warranty has “expired.” So much for standing by your word, GE.
      We’ve had:
1 useless unit right out of the box
4 major failures in the replacement
      Weeks without a functioning dishwasher
And a “courtesy service call” GE can stick where the sun doesn’t shine
Thankfully, I purchased an extended warranty through the store I bought it from — because if I had to rely on GE, I’d be completely out of luck. And yes — because this unit has needed three or more repairs, it’s officially considered a lemon under that policy.
I will continue to write reviews everywhere I can. People deserve to know that this product is unreliable, and GE’s customer service is empty promises, broken systems, and zero accountability.
Avoid GE. Avoid this model. Save yourself the time, frustration, and rage.

If I could leave zero stars for this company I would. I bought a home in December with a GE fridge and it has not been working properly since the beginning. I notified GE that the appliance was not working since April. A tech came out and found no issues even though the fridge was leaking, not cooling and tripping my fuse box. I reached out again and scheduled another appointment and the tech was a no show twice. I have reached out to GE multiple times and still have not resolution. They only offered $100 for food and $200 for a mini fridge until they can find a company to try and service it. Or use up to $250 for a third party of my choice to diagnose the fridge. I live 2 hours away from this property and only visit on weekends. Despite telling them that I have medication that needs to be refrigerated and small children, no solution has been reached. It's always a 24-48 hour wait to ends up in no result. Stay away from buying GE appliances.

I purchased a GE refrigerator (Model GNE25JYKEFFS) less than three years ago, and the compressor has already failed. This has nothing to do with misuse—just a defective, poor-quality product. GE refuses to take any responsibility, offer compensation, or even acknowledge the issue, despite this being a major failure in a relatively new appliance. For the price and reputation, I expected far better. I won’t be buying GE again and would caution others to think twice. A fridge shouldn’t die this quickly.

GE manufacturers good stuff, selling the worst Residential RO.
      Hard to believe!!
The big name of GE may impress you, but I have a very bad experience with so called GE's domestic RO system. Phoenix, AZ Water is hard, the water does not taste great and it has high dissolved solids. I have used other RO systems such as Envirotec in my two homes in Greater Phoenix AZ.
In My Third home, the builder was offering RO system for a price and based on builder's reputation I agreed to have the builder install an RO water filtration system in my Kitchen sink.
RO membranes (domestic included) lasts 4-5 years. Within just six months these GE membranes started wearing out, water tasting bad. I suspected it is passing all the bad stuff through the filter. I called the technician and they checked RO is only rejecting 15% of the dissolved solids. There is nothing left on the membrane and the tech also said this RO system is the worst that is available in the market that they have ever seen.
(Conductivity linearly varies with Dissolved solids, most Purified bottled water is produced by RO and they have about ten to 50 Conductivity. Reverse Osmosis system rejects 99.8% of the solids. that is why RO water does not have solids.
The model number GNRQ18NBN00 (look it up)
I called their customer service. They said i have 30 days warranty to return the appliance and have 1 year warranty. They are fine with the low quality product, yes it is meant to be low quality. The installer said this is the lowest quality of product they have seen.
Stay away from this system, it may turn out to be the worst appliance in your kitchen. Basically a scam!

GE warranty is meaningless if you do not have a receipt for the appliance. You are out of luck if you received it as a gift, a contractor provided a GE appliance without telling you, you bought a house (new or old) with GE appliances. GE customer service also doesn't tell you this. My GE garbage disposal Model GFC525N went bad. Customer service took my SN ZM4014491J, confirmed 7 year warranty and said they will issue a certificate for replacement with newer model GFC565W. I subsequently bought the new model. In issuing a visa card, the fourth representative and two managers demanded the old receipt, a fresh demand. They did not accept a plumber's receipt of replacement work and materials (but not actually a receipt for the appliance itself) and photographs of the old garbage disposal unit. Had I been told by the first customer representative, I would not have bought a new GE garbage disposal as a replacement, of which I have a receipt. Sending all the information to two managers did not help.

Got a new GE Opal 2 and it started making noise. I sent it back as per the customer service person and they lost it. After 2 weeks they sent a new one, but it was damaged. Now they want me to take it back to Fed Ex because they do not send out pick up slips. This has been a horrible experience and GE has not helped at all. Do not buy GE products. They do not work, will not give a refund and do not help at all.

I have bought 2 brand new washing machines in the past 5 yrs. They're supposed to have a 10 ur warranty. Both washers started leaking out of rhe bottom, and the lids on both washers also cracked and broke. GE wont do anything about it. I've spent over $2,000.00 on washing machines- just to end up going ro the laundry mat. Shame on GE! I will NEVER give that company 1 more cent of my hard earned money.
