I have used multiple channels, social media, Facebook messenger, and calling to get off their mailing list for over a year. Yet they keep sending me mail. I should not have to jump through a million hoops to get them to stop. I just want no further mail solicitation for their services as I'm not interested.Business Response

We had fallen behind in our payments due to a hardship and had made Republic Finance aware of our situation. My mother passed away and we have been having to maintain all expenses of her home while we have it up for sale, however, have not yet been able to sell the property. Prior to that, we had been helping to pay for around the clock medical care and assistance as well as help handle the bills for my mother's home after her stroke. Republic Finance filed papers to have me sued in small claims court on 3/21/24 for the payments missed on 1/24/24 and 2/24/24. The account has now been completely brought current having paid all past due and current due payments through today's date. However, after the payment was made I was told the claim would not be dismissed. I was advised, however, to still keep making any and all payments on time. I'm beyond frustrated at this point and I'm not sure what to do. We definitely cannot afford attorneys fees to fight this in court, which I'm sure they count on.Business Response

Loaned me $7,000 when I was getting $940 a month from Social Security disability with a credit score of around 630.
My Fico 8 score averaged between the three credit bureaus is 710, when I was offered a second loan, some two years after taking out the initial loan. I also have an unimpeachable, strong 2 year + payment history with this company— that continues to solicit me to get another loan, but wont give me one, once they discover I can actually afford to pay it back!
Now that I have a modicum of financial literacy, I’m so glad that I was turned down for a second loan. After I paid off $7000worth of credit card debt, and $3500 of the amount money they initially loaned me, even though the app says I’m preapproved for an $8000 loan— they wouldn’t loan me a penny!
this prime lender is predatory and revolting, and I would caution anyone to take out a loan with these people.
this loan reports to the credit bureau as a consumer finance loan, which is a euphemism for someone who is essentially operating a payday loan type business concern.
STOP CALLING ME, please, and please take all of these inquiries off of my credit report I’ve applied for one $1500 loan and I have four inquiries on my Experian credit report.
I can’t imagine how many people that are essentially living in poverty, and are paying a third of their income for these extortionate loans. It’s so sad..Business Response

Republic Finance has placed a judgment on my credit for delinquent payments, but I continue to make payments to the company. Republic Finance was aware of my hardship from our previous conversation and stated that they did not have any assistance or programs to assist me with. The company filed a judgment against my credit, and payments are still being made every month.
At this time, I would like to request that the judgment be removed from my credit because the company failed to report to the courts that payments were still being made.Business Response

I took out a loan with this company in 2021. I was working and faithfully paying. I encountered health issues and fell behind on my payments. I lost my job and couldn't afford to pay anymore. I had not heard anything from the company, but I just started working and have received notation from my employer that my wages are being garnished. I reached out to the company with no answer. I received an email stating that I could make arrangements to settle the debt if I reached out by 3/15/2024. I called 3/6/2024 and I was told no offer exist and that the garnishment has already been filled. The issue I have is the amount as well as the form, in which they ask you for collateral but now they don't want the collateral you listed but money instead. Second, I don't like that I received a letter to reach out by 3/15/2024, but the garnishment had already been filed and scheduled to take my first check on 3/15/2025. Crazy part is that I just got this job. They couldn't locate where I live or call my phone, but they were able to locate a new employer to serve me with garnishment papers. This company needs to be looked into. Why file a garnishment order before the date on the offer letter came. I had no chance to reach out and get it taken care of and now she stated they want the whole amount. Now I have to file for a bankruptcy or risk not being able to feed my kids or provide shelter. This is a cold world.Business Response

I have an active loan with Republic Finance of Columbus, Ga and renewed the loan last year. The loan was renewed by using my 2010 Hyundai Elantra. They paid off an existing loan with a different company that the car was with which only had approximately 1,300 left on it. RP were eager to pay off that loan & renew my loan with them. Fast forward I inquired about the loan and what it would take to pay off to get the car title back. They informed me that I must pay the loan off in its entirety for the over 10k. I’m trying to understand why when only 2k was taken out for the vehicle. I pay my monthly bill & due to how much it is I can’t afford to pay any extra due to my insurance also went up almost double to have it used as collateral on the loan.
I am not trying to get out of paying, I just want to get the correct amount to pay off for my car title. It is highway robbery and unethical to think someone can ever pay this company off.Business Response
