They charge you for insurance, so if you get hurt on the job they can still be paid. I got hurt on job called them insurance that I paid for forms never sent they pocket the money an try ruining people's credit an they sit an laughRepublic Finance, LLC

Manager at branch #213, San Marcos, Texas (person named ****) is sorely lacking in customer service skills. I had a loan which was being paid by automatic checking account deductions. Circumstances beyond my control made it necessary that I call **** and ask for about a week's extension before the checking account deduction. Instead of calmly trying to work with me, he scolded me as if he were a middle school principal and I one of his students! Trying to get my car's title returned to me has been just as bad, if not worse. When I suggested the option that I had of calling my attorney to assist me with this matter, **** said that I was making threats to his employee! Imagine exercising one's legal rights being construed as a threat! My opinion, one might be treated with more courtesy and respect by a loan shark than by this so-called "Manager" ****-person. I would avoid doing business with Republic Finance like the way one would avoid the plague. NO - ZERO STARSRepublic Finance, LLC

Many thanks for the automated reply! I DID get the chance to speak with a regional vice president from Republic Finance. He apologized for his subordinate's unacceptable behavior, which is to be routinely expected from one attempting to control damage for a very poor customer relations experience. Unfortunately for Republic Finance and their reputation sullied, for me at least by the unacceptable behavior of one of their managers, I cannot, and WILL NOT recommend that anyone who expects to be treated with the least amount of respect and courtesy, do business with Republic Finance Branch # 213 in San Marcos, Texas.Review fromToni E

I received a check in the mail 1400.00 I cashed called the company to verify . The business kept calling for me to get extra money I gave in they never once mentioned the rates or how much I would end up owing back yes I signed the papers rushing and trusting the loan officer not trying to get over on me . When I looked at my paperwork I was furious to see the interest rate the only thing she said you would pay 180 a month for two years. Not once what’s the interest rate or how much I owe . I want my interest rate adjusted lower. They kept calling trying to get me to get more money that’s not right . I want something done about the interest rate .Republic Finance, LLC

I was sent a check for a personal loan during Covid in 2020 by Republic Finance. Being an out of work musician, I had trouble paying it back. I entered into a Consent judgement to repay $4,209.70. The attorney for Republic asked what amount I could pay to satisfy this debt and it was agreed that $100 monthly payments would be possible. I have currently paid approximately $2,100. Because of the almost 40 percent interest, the remaining balance has now increased to almost $6,000! I called the attorney, and expressed that I thought I was paying down the debt, but at this rate, such terms will only result in lifelong payments with literally no end. The attorney agreed and said the interest rates were exorbitant, so he would contact Republic to see if they would offer a payoff and he'd contact me to let me know. Two weeks had gone by with no word, so I began to call the attorney every week, with no return call. More than a month passed and I finally got through to the Attorney. For the first time in all of our communications, the attorney sounded very annoyed. He stated that Republic had a consent agreement and they expect to be paid the full amount. Which increases daily, regardless of my $100 monthly payment. I offered to pay off the remaining balance of the original judgment amount, which would be $2,100. The attorney flippantly said he would contact Republic and get back with him. I have no hopes that anything reasonable will be coming from him. In the heart of Covid lockdowns I received that check from Republic. I did NOT apply for a loan. They must've known I was having financial difficulties and sent me an actual check. When my family was in trouble, I cashed it. Never thinking I would be in this nightmare. I want to pay my debt AND the initial court costs and fees as agreed to. I am offering to pay them $2,100. That is my debt to them. I'm NOT trying to get out of it. How can you do this to another person? Please help me move on.Republic Finance, LLC

Thank you for responding to my issue. I spoke with a representative from your office today and they agreed to settle on the remainder owed on the loan, $2,100. No other interest or fees. This is fair and exactly what I had been expecting when I agreed to pay my debt. I appreciate Republic doing the right thing to resolve this so I could move forward and I especially am thankful for the power of the Better Business Bureau. around a month ago maybe 5 weeks we applied for a $1000, we already have a current loan that's never been late, always paid a month ahead, the man done the app run it thru told us the loan was approved but as we was going over the final papers i realized he had added a bunch of stuff to the loan that made the payment go thru the roof, at that point i told him he'd have to take everything off if it was not required to get the loan or i wasn't taking it. he got mad hollering he'd ask if we wanted this or that, HE NEVER ONCE ASKED ABOUT ANY EXTRAS, so he never sent the loan back thru without all his commission paying add-ons and we never got the $1000 bucks. (if we had paid for all the add-ons he tried to slip in on the loan, we would've had the 1000 loan which would've turned into a 1500 to 2000 loan due to the unnecessary crap he was trying to sneak in on us). THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS, NOTHING BUT LOANSHARKS HIDING BEHIND A LICENSE AND THEIR BUSINESS LICENSE SHOULD BE REVOKED. They are taking advantage of and cheating people thru their business practices and it needs to be stopped!!!!!!!Republic Finance, LLC

By far the worst experience ever with a lender. They pulled my credit for a to refinance my loan without my permission. I was out from work for COVID and was trying to play catch up they let me know that paying them need to be one of my priorities. They are just very disrespectful with obscenely high interest rates.Republic Finance, LLC

I recently went to a local San Antonio location to apply for a loan. I spoke with a woman by the name Michelle(nots sure of last name) while she was gathering my information her cell phones started to ping and she excused her self and said she had to call another manager for confirmation and she spoke to a young man by the name of Mike or Mark. After she initiated the call she was barely interested in helping me with my loan. She walked away and left me there and while waiting I could hear her having inappropriate conversation with the gentleman so I left and will never come back to Republic Finance. A company to allow such inappropriate work relationships is not where I want to do business at. I am happy to report that I was well taken care of at another loan company and was given the dignity and respect a customer deserves.Republic Finance, LLC

I was two payments behind. I went to log into my account and found I was not able to make a payment, (which was my intention). I emailed them and got no response. Next thing I know I was served with court papers. Seriously two payments, and they had me served and fixed my online account where I could not pay.Republic Finance, LLC
