I canceled garbage service on January 9th 2025 and I sent payment for the 1st two weeks of January. January 9th was my last pickup with them. Live Oak wants to say it is their policy to cancel at the end of month. I say I canceled Jan. 9 and sent pymt for those 2 pickups and I owe 0 zero zip! I already started with another garbage service starting the next week after I canceled. Live Oak needs to honor my cancelation date of Jan.9th & not some per se policy. Trash Services have not been fulfilled in the Beauxart Garden area for nearly two weeks. When someone is able to reach a representative, they say the trash will be picked up the following day. They stated the Friday pickup would be completed Saturday, and then Monday, and now it’s Wednesday and the whole neighborhood still has had no trash pick up. The service has been doing pickups a day or two late for the past month, and now we are all left without pickup and with no straight answers about when this will be resolved.Business Response

I began contacting Live Oak re: acct #****** on 1/8/25, regarding missed pickups, & I have called at least 16 times since, trying to get our acct issues resolved. Due to repeated missed pickups & their complete disregard for customers, I cancelled this acct with *********, a supervisor on Jan 14th, 2025. On 1/15/25, while speaking with ********* again, she confirmed the cancellation, but stated if would be effective "the end of the month", which I agreed to. There were at least 2 credits of $21 ea that had been placed on the account previously, so I requested a refund because no further pmts would be made to Live Oak for service. ********* told me she would get with her supervisor *****, and would give me a call back to let me know how it would be handled, because she stated they don't refund customers that cancel service. This I found unacceptable. I was not going to continue service just to collect the credits they issued & they are not entitled to keep our money for services they did not render, so I asked for a call back from *****. Since 1/15/25 I have left many messages for both ********* & *****, usually calling twice a week, & having to retell the story many times, & each time the rep said they would get everything in the computer and someone would get back to me. I still have not rcvd a call back, & the property owner ****** ***** has not rcvd a call back from the many messages she left either. In early March I noticed they had charge us for Feb service, even though they were not picking up our trash, & now they are billing another $5. More than 60 days has passed since I began calling Live Oak, and neither supervisor has had the decency to call back. They still have our card on file, and have processed payments without authorization. I demand a refund of the two $21 credits, and the $69.93 they took for Feb service, which was after the confirmed cancellation date. They are not authorized to deduct the additional $5 on 4/1/25 either.Business Response

I am fed up with this company. I have lived at my residence for 7 months now. I called live oak to get a trash can and trash services before I even moved in. It took them 2 months to get me a trash can out to my house. Meanwhile they were charging me every month for service that wasn't being picked up.
Since then there has been several times that trash has not been picked up at all or they will call and say it will be picked up day of at 10 or 11 in the morning after most residents in my town have gone to work and aren't home to put the trash out. They skip more than they pick up and at this point it is getting ridiculous. They make sure to draft my account each month but cant seem to uphold their end.Business Response

The company has a 2 times a week pick up service and has been doing so until this month. I have already been billed for a 3 month cycle at 2 times a week and mid cycle they changed the service to 1 times a week with no notification or offer to refund money due to service change. I have cancelled service and they would only refund the last month of the service. I would like at least another month refunded since they changed up a contracted service with no notification.Business Response

There is a proration credit of 42.91 that is being refunded for the month of April, and we have issued a refund for half of the month of March for the pickups that were not provided which is 21.46 for a total of 64.37. A check will be sent and it takes up to 60 days for that to be done

Since the end of December, my garbage has not been picked up on the regular scheduled day. On more than one instance my garbage can was only partially emptied. I have requested a 2nd can over a month ago and have not received it. They will not pick up trash from MY OWN PERSONAL cans because it is not one of their cans. However, they do not pick up or completely empty my can that is theirs. I have paid for services not rendered and have called on multiple occasions and get someone different each time and of course they cannot help. I canceled trash services with Live Oak on October 4, 2024. I was told by the person on the phone that I would still need to pay for the month of October and that once the month was over, just leave my can at the curb and they would pick it up. GREAT! A month went by and my can (along with another neighbors can) sat there and sat there. Finally one day they were gone. Imagine my surprise when I receive an email from a Collection Company saying that I hadn’t paid my final bill to Live Oak Environmental. Hmmmm, how can I pay a bill I NEVER RECEIVED? Checked with my neighbor who canceled at the same time, they never received a bill either.
I disputed the collection and received this response: Ecosouth will not be able to issue you a final bill as they have charged off the account.
WHY? It is March 2025, barely 5 months after I canceled services with them and they NEVER sent a final bill yet they want to charge off my account and send me to collections?
This company is a joke! Customer service is non-existent…everyone I know who has used them has had nothing but complaints!
I want my final bill and the charge off removed because it should have never been there in the first place!Business Response

I was told that my service was cancelled because the road i am on was a dead end and driver could not turn around. OK, that seems reasonable, however: (1) I was never contacted to let me know they simply stopped picking up my trash. (2) My garbage can was not picked up for 2 weeks so I called to check why, after 20 minutes on hold I was told my service was cancelled. (3) I pay quarterly and they stopped service in the middle of a prepaid billing cycle. (4) They have been servicing this address for over a decade, the reason they gave was false. (5) I was told i would get a partial refund, less than the remaining term, but have not seen it. (6) They said they would pick up the cans a month ago, they have not.
Since Piney Woods Sanitation was bought out by Live Oak Environmental owned by the New York private equity firm Kinderhook the service level has been awful. I would not recommend Live Oak Environmental to my worst enemy.Business Response

The account was accessed by management and there is nowhere to turn around safely, therefor the account was closed. We do send notices out to residents and I'm not sure why this customer did not receive one.
Now that the cart has been removed the refund was entered today for billing to do the refund.

In Nov 2024 Live Oak changed the way they would pickup the trash in our community. They sent out rules and requlations on the placement of the trash cans to be emptied by their new truck, they raised their rates also. The first three weeks went great with no issues. The Christmas rush went well also. January they started backing the truck down to the house next to me, walking down to my cans and pulling them back to the truck to empty them and bring the back and placing them in front of the mail boxes and in the road blocking both. This happened on Jan 1, Jan 8 and Jan 15. After these incident I call and reported each incident. There is no customer service with Live Oak. I was told by the person that answers the phone they would report it! They have no numbers to call and they can't even call the traver. Nothing is ever fixed. I was promised a supervisor would call me back. I did tell them I would call the Sheriff for blocking the road and mail boxes. I do have pictures.Business Response

More Information...A company representative came with the trash pickup truck. They stopped up the road as they have been doing and looked around. the Company man did acknowledge me from a distance. The driver did walk down, retrieved my two cans, rolled them back to the truck, used the truck arm to dump them in the truck, walked the cans back to the proper location at my location.
There has not been any contact from the company as to explain what the procedure will be from now on or why it will be done.
