Parked in the premium parking managed garage near West Elm furniture store in the Fells Point area. Paid for parking as instructed and required. Returned to vehicle to find a ticket for $80 for parking in the wrong spot and failing to pay. We parked correctly and paid. We appealed, provided proof of payment and they reduced our penalty to $15 - saying we parked in the wrong spot, which we did not. Premium Parking is a shake down operation - issuing official looking enforcement tickets for no reason and/or booting cars with an eye toward generating fake cash fines. I cant imagine this would be the first complaint you have had about their business.Customer Answer

I have made several attempts to attach a picture of the fake parking ticket we received. Your system will not accept it. May we email this? Please provide an email address. Thank youCustomer Answer

Here is a copy of the fake ticket we were issued. The fine was $80, but they reduced it to $15 after we provided proof we had paid. The spot we were parked in was correct, as well. We do NOT intend to pay this.
Thanks for your help,

Hi ******,
Spoke to the management of that facility. Here is their direct response.
"I understand that you made a payment for lot P2303. However, you received this citation while parked in P2304. These are two separate parking lots with clear signage indicating the different lots. Since you paid, just for the wrong location, you were given a courtesy reduction to $15. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they are paying for the same location they are parked in. ""

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
We were not in the wrong area and we dispute that assertion. They acknowledge we paid for our parking. As a matter of fairness and transparency, If this business is going to be acting as a pretend police agency and issuing their own tickets and fines, as well as acting as judge and jury, then they should also - at a minimum - be providing each ****** with a list of possible offenses and fines - not simply arbitrarily making up offenses and fines as they wish. Regardless, we properly paid for our parking as they acknowledge - we will not be paying their reduced as a courtesy made up fine of $15.

We are sorry you do not agree with our response. We understand your situation and apologize for any inconvenience.Customer Answer

To add to my earlier response today - it is important to note that, at the outset, the parking company claimed we did not pay and we were in the wrong area. They were later forced to admit we DID pay for parking. They were wrong about the payment and they are wrong on where we parked. Just wanted to point out the record of inaccurate claims made by this company. I also made it clear in my earlier reply we are not paying their made-up $15 fine.
Happy to take this to court, if they wish. Im sure it would be easy enough to assemble a class action lawsuit against these business practices.
Thank you,

It was my first time visiting the P5401 - *********** and when I put the address in my car GPS it directly brings me to this parking garage. The garage has no paying booth or ticketing system that I could use. Since I wasnt sure how to pay and there was no attendant, I had no choice but to leave. I applied for an appeal and explained my situation and they said there was no attempt made to pay for parking, recorded. Was I being recorded when I exited the mall and was looking around for an attendant? This company is a scam. Trying to extort money from older people since they arent the best at getting an app to figure out how to pay at a parking garage. On top of that charging $60 for parking violation. Parking shouldnt require only one method of payment (phone/app) there should be a physical means of payment. I request the company to look into my appeal again and to consider my request. Invoice number MPS-*******. Im happy to pay the original parking charge but I cannot make the $60 charge as it is not fair.Customer Answer

At this time, I have not been contacted by GLIDEPARCS Enforcement regarding complaint ID ********. I only received a letter in the mail that had the original bill of $52 plus an additional amount for a total of $100. I paid the entire sum because they threatened to report me to the credit bureau. This company deals in very strange ways. Its like a Mafia.

I parked in a parking space that had no signs indicating that I needed to pay parking. I went into the business for a kids birthday party. Came out a few hours later and had an invoice on my car for $71. I took a picture of the spot so that the business could see that there was no sign. I sent this to the vendor and told them that I wasn't aware of the parking fee, but would be happy to pay the original cost. The original fee would have been $16, assuming it's the cost of the other rows of parking spots that I found nearby and did have a sign. They denied my dispute. When I contacted the business they said they could have done something if I didn't dispute it. But, now they couldn't. That is a 450% increase over their parking fee. That is a horrible business practice. I want to pay them for their service. I don't want to get robbed by a nameless company **** miles away from the parking space I parked in. A satisfactory resolution would be paying the normal amount and a commitment to put up signage.Customer Answer

I parked in a parking garage in *********,** located at *************************************************************, on Sept 25,2023. We arrived at 6:38, parked in location #****. They have the pay method of scanning an image and going to the website. The license plate number that kept coming up was the wrong one, I tried multiple times. Upon no other options I paid for parking. My credit card was charged $12.00 for parking there that night. The following week I received a ticket for $75.00. I went to their website to appeal showing them pictures of where I parked and my credit card statement. They said all decisions are final and insist I pay the ticket price. I feel like I did what I could to do the right thing that night, but am still being charged for something that went wrong on their end. And there is no effort being made on their end to work with me or fix it. I called the company today and was told they will leave a message with the manager who makes these final decisions. I have no guarantee this manager will call me back to help resolve this issue. So I am reporting this to the better business bureau for help and advice. Attached are pictures of where we parked and my credit card statement showing I already paid the required fee to park there that night. Its not my fault their system faulted and didnt register my license plate. Thank you for your time.Business Response

Hi Customer!
I escalated your request to the local management of the facility. Here is their response:
Update;
The vehicle parked (4FG5095) was not the vehicle paid for (3AS1915). This resulted in a citation being issued. As a courtesy, we eliminated the Unpaid Parking Fee and reduced the Citation Fee to $20 to cover enforcement costs. While the vehicle 3AS1915 did auto-populate because it had been previously used on that account, one can always update vehicle information. There are no less than 3 opportunities to update vehicle information during the process.

On 7/24/23 I parked in a parking garage that in the past was free parking. I looked to see if there was a fee and place to pay but didn't see any. I assumed it was still free parking and parked there for less than an hour. About a month later, I received a late fee charge of $60. I never received any invoice or notice of the original $25 charge or a chance to pay that amount. I would have paid it. I appealed the $60, but my appeal was denied. I then received a $100 late fee notice. I have tried to pay the original $25 fee. The website won't allow me to pay the $25, it will only accept $100 or nothing. I called the customer ********************** number and they said they can't help me and that I should file an appeal. I tried to file a second appeal, but the website the matter was considered, and the appeal process is closed. If they want $25, I will pay it, but the rest is unfair.Business Response

Hi ******,
Were sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience at our P3054 location. We have multiple signs posted at both entrances, as well as throughout the parking garage, indicating Paid Public Parking, with directions on how to pay. There are also signs indicating that customers can validate their paid parking at participating businesses. Unfortunately, our records indicate that we did not receive payment or validation for parking associated with your license plate, which is why the citation was issued and your appeal was denied. We do offer free parking up to 2 hours with a validation at associated businesses on the property. Please feel free to utilize our validation feature on your next visit to the garage.Customer Answer

My daughter and I checked in to the Holiday Inn Express on ****************** in *********** on September 19,2023. I was informed that the hotel didn't have any parking and that I had to pay for parking in the parking lot behind the hotel. I parked in spot P148 at **************************************** Confirmation# ********. When I arrived at my car this morning I found that my car was vandalized! My back glass on the passenger side was busted! They took everything out of my glove compartment and my middle console and had it all over my seats! I had to pay for some additonal parking this morning after I called the cops at 5:19 this morning! I actually thought that my vehicle was going to be safe being that this was a paid parking lot! I was suppose to stay there tonight but after this occurred I checked out because I couldn't chance my car in that parking lot another night! I want to be reimbursed back for parking and for the cost of my window and tint! If the company want my pictures I can email those pictures to them upon request.Business Response

This business threatened my credit report and thus attempting to negatively impact me financially, via postal mail. They claim I entered or parked illegally in Alabama when I live in ********. Their cameras recorded a dimly lit picture of an alabama license plate matching my ******** numbers, affixed to a completely different make and model of vehicle than mine. Not to mention i was on the clock at my job 750 miles away. This company obviously does not review their citations before sending them across the country hoping some innocent individual will unrightfully pay. Also known as theft.Customer Answer

I have submitted 3 pictures (including citation) showing clear evidence that this company is fraudulently attempting to negatively impact my financial status and credit report. This company needs to be investigated for if this happens to me it happens to others. Clerical errors or system malfunctions may be their excuse however I take this very seriously. Affixing fines, legal repercussions, and attacking my credit score will not be tolerated especially since it is evident they simply choose a random country wide vehicle owner matching this plate instead of doing their due diligence to correctly identify the violator.Customer Answer
