After recently reviewing my credit report from your company, I noticed several inaccuracies that need to be addressed. So I deposited a check into my account through mobile deposit it's is a tax refund check from the *** it has mine and my husband name on it the check said it was accepted and if there was any problems they were going to email me I got no emails I've been waiting for the check now they're saying I have to wait another 30 days before the check can get deposited I talked to them they said if I get an account with him a joint account then it can go through the check and now they're still giving me a hard time I've talked to about 25 different people there saying something different I just want my money we even opened a joint account and there still saying that it's on hold THE PEOPLE AR THE BANK SAID THEY NEVER SEEN A CHECK BEING HELP FOR OVER ********************************************************************* a different account I need my money me and my kids are living in a hotel and I need to keep a roof over there head and feed them it's my money I don't understandBusiness Response

I have tried multiple times with the different variations of my last name to open an account online with OpenBank by Santander. The very first one I was told it is not in ************* yet. However, after ******* launch, I have tried through that promotion following the prompts including logging in to myVerizon and from there being redirected to ******** website. However, I automatically get a message that cannot open account online. I have tried different devices (phone, laptop) and also through the app on my phone. I have also tried opening an account outside of myverizon and nothing seems to work. I always get the same screen no matter what I try. At one point my credit bureaus were frozen but I have since then unfrozen all and it still doesn't work. It seems your system just now automatically does not let me proceed probably due to the multiple attempts with my SSN. Please help me here, as there is no reason for you to deny me opening an account to take advantage of myVerizon benefits. I have had banking relationship with Santander bank in the past and currently have with several major banks with no negative remarks at all. If you have issues matching my exact name (due to compound last name), just mention that and provide alternate method. This is completely unacceptable and discriminatory in nature to deny me without reason and not helping me. I have also tried calling Openbank support and got no help, no options. I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an unauthorized account that appears on my credit report. The details of the account in question are as follows:----------------Creditor: SANTANDER, Opened Date: 3/31/2017, Account Number: *****************, High Credit: *************************** reviewing my credit report, I noticed the above account, which I do not recognize and did not authorize. This account is having a negative impact on my credit score, and I believe it is a result of fraudulent activity.I did not open this account, nor did I authorize any transactions or agreements with Santander related to this account. As a result, I request that SANTANDER promptly investigate the matter and remove this unauthorized account from my credit report. The presence of this account is unjust and is significantly damaging my financial health and creditworthiness.I request that this matter be addressed urgently, as the unauthorized account is having a significant negative impact on my credit and financial standing. I purchased a car in October 2024 Santander bank financed the car on December 28, 2024. I was involved in an accident through no fault of own. I continue to make the payments on time. My insurance company eventually settled and sent a check to Santander bank for an amount that did not pay off the loan. I canceled the extended warranty and was reimbursed $1042 which was sent to Santander Bank March 11, 2025. The loan is paid off and Santander bank is holding 800+ dollars of my money and they say they wont give it to me until the middle of summer 2025 I am 81 years old I live on a fixedincome. I have surgeries coming up. I dont even know if I will be alive by the time I get that money. I need somebody fight for me. I would appreciate any help. This bank continues to charge me after I closed my account two months ago. They claim the payment was made via check although everything has been paid online. Because of this my bank account has been overdrawn two months after the bank account has been closed. Why is it that the consumer has no recourse in this matter. To the next person, do not use this bank, they are crooks and because of our banking system they keep getting away with it. If this payment of $11,789.05 was made via check as they claimed, why was .83 taken out on 3-4 and then on 4-2 $59.35 taken out. When called and complained to this company about this continued overcharging after I closed the account only to be told that I still owe $.04 because this money apparently took too long to receive my money via electronic transfer. This account was closed but they continue to withdraw money from my account. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!Business Response

This Business is SANTANDER Bank. and I receive a loan from them on 1/14/25? in the process of this transaction I no longer needed the loan so i repaid the loan of ***** dollars?? on 1/28/25 with a certified check of ***** that's what the supervisor of Santander bank said that if i sent the money back in less than 30 days there would be no interest applied to the loan? the pay out # ***** she said that if I had any questions refer to that # now in the meanwhile!! Santander bank had process the pay out. and on 2/10/25 they took 380 dollars out of my checking account as payment toward that same loan so i disputed and the bank gave my money back because of the certified check I had them write now on 2/24/25 ? I received a latter from Santander bank stating that my account # **** has been paid in full?? now all of sudden I get a letter from the bank on 3/21/25 saying i have an out standing payment due on 4/10/25 of 272 dollars what I'm saying they never contacted me saying my loan account was reopen and that was the interest I had to pay? first of all they did not inform me that my account was reopen?? like I said I'm a 72 yr old individual living on a very short budget???this is the # too the mean head quarters of Santander bank. ************ ?? can you please give me a call before the 10th of April that's when they are going to charge me more interest on my account because i have a stoppage on my account at the bank? what ever you can do in my behalf will be most definitely appreciate!!! really I think this is a sign of fraud because they waited to accumulate more interest on my account?? the interest I'm talking about is 272 dollars thank you with respect **** ****** Account # ****!! any more information you need my # is ************ this is my story to the very last detail of this unwanted situation ????Business Response

I paid off my personal loan in full for the month of January. I made three payments to satisfy the entire loan on my account which paid off the principal balance. I made the minimum payment due and remaining balance of ***** was paid in two payments. $6000 and 607. My principal balance at that point is $0. In February 2025 statement my account showed I had 0 balance and 0 interest accrued yet I over amount owed $793. I called numerous times and was told that I didnt need to pay the amount. Then I got charged a late fee. This was reversed but then my account got sent to internal collections. They said that it was an error on customer service side AND sided with my case that I should have no balance on the account. My March statement showed I owed $***** in principal balance to pay off my entire loan in full. This is a travesty that this bank snuck in extra charges when I paid off my principal in January, 0 owed for February and then now its another error of $***** owed in principal balance. This bank scams customers and tell you if you pay off the loan no amount charged thereafter. Loan was paid and they still charged me and refused to take off $*****. I didnt want to deal with the headache so I said to pay over phone and they told me I would get charged a ***** a day because itll be considered late until they receive the funds even though its direct dude it from my checking account. An antiquated and outdated banking and loan system has caused me so much stresss over ***** after I paid off my entire loan and still have another loan with them. I will never do business with a scamming bank like Santander. Check my billing statements ending in1059 and see how the technical errors are on YOUR end YOUR mistake. I have to say that the employees at ********************** are great to deal with, the policy of the consumer having to know that they need to make sure their loan is closed out when paying off their loan early is outrageous. I paid over $11700 and change and because I did not make sure the correct button was hit, I am now being charged $68+ in interest. I have called and spoken to a Supervisor after being told by the initial phone *** that there was still a charge on my account that I have to pay and she could not do anything about this. Surprisingly I was given the same line from her supervisor. When asked why would I have paid an odd amount with change if I had not been given the payoff amount. She told me that I should have hit a button for this total, which would automatically send me to the right total. Im just in shock, but I understand the employees are only following directions from above.Customer Answer

The business contacted me and decided my compensation should be the forgiving of the $.04 that I was charged after they had taken out the disputed amount of $59.35 in interest after I paid off the $12000 I had borrowed and did not personally tell them to close my account.
For two months this amount stayed on my account as due. Then they decided to take the money out, putting me in the negative.
I am content with being done with this company and should have looked at reviews before having taken their money that was paid back in a little over a month. Even though I had selected to pay off the loan thru an online payment to which they claimed it was a paper check and that is why I needed to pay more interest.
THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY CROOKS THAT WILL END UP PAYING FOR IT IN THE END.
I am glad to be done with this company, it is just a shame that they are allowed to operate this way.
