I am not surprised by their low rating. Their rates start low and then over double and they don't notify their customers. Their customer service is terrible and all their agents hang up on you and are rude. I would leave them a zero if it was possibleLiberty Mutual Group

If I could give them zero stars I would. Ive been with this company for 5 years never had to file a claim until this last rain storm. Tomorrow will be a week since the third party came to inspect my roof. Ive been calling them and leaving messages with my adjuster ****** and til today, Im yet to receive a return call. When I call the main number Im referred back to ****** and no one will even try to answer any of my questions. I called to ask for a supervisor and was told to leave my number and a manager will get back to me. Im still waiting. It has rained since the last storm and supposed to rain again this weekend and my leak still isnt fixed. The communication with this company *****. But yet and still they expect to be paid on time. I wouldnt refer this company to anyone.Liberty Mutual Group

I am not even sure where to begin. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received!!! The employees that I dealt with never returned phone calls or emails when I call them numerous times. I do not have Liberty Mutual Insurance. I was driving my vehicle on a roadway that was being worked on and blow out a tire when my vehicle bottomed out. The roadway was dug out to much. I ended up getting to my appointment but when I came out to my vehicle the vehicle had a flat tire. I drove it next door to the tire place but no tires in stock had to wait a week to get. I was able to get pick up and drove to the location of the damage. I took photos of the roadway but unfortunately there was a police detail on scene that had already paved that section of roadway. I placed a claim on 5/26/22 with ************************* she called me once I returned her call but she never call back she emailed me instead. I emailed her back with the information and asked if she need anything else and said no. I can't count all the phone calls and emails she never responded to. She decided on my claim without me asking to clarify what had occurred on that date. Roughly two months later she called me for the clarification. She stated she would be in contact with me very so to see if the decision was going to be reversed. She had mention there were also other claims that day for that location. I never heard back from **** after multiple emails and phone calls to her. I reached out to her supervisor *********************** and I also left phone messages and emails. I FINALLY heard back from ***** after I left a review on the company website. She was rude and told me she was not reversing the decision but no mention of the lack of customer service I received from both of them. I understand it was hard to prove but the lack of courtesy they both gave me was ridiculous! I am writing this review because I was treated extremely poorly and I wanted to make you aware of.Liberty Mutual Group

If I could leave NEGATIVE stars, I would. This company refuses to cancel my deceased fathers auto insurance policy. *******, *****************************, was absolutely unhelpful. I have submitted the required documentation but Liberty Mutual says that only the primary acct holder can cancel - although he is dead. They are still billing us for car insurance. They did not even offer any condolences. Horrible.Liberty Mutual Group

No one ever answers the phone.. ever. I've left several messages for ***** the adjuster who never calls me back. when it asks me to stay on the line to speak to someone else they never answer. I will never work with Liberty Mutual again.Liberty Mutual Group

I have been with Liberty Mutual since June 2016.June 30 2022 I called to add my daughter to our policy as her car was in the shop. The lady told me when I needed her removed to call back & once she was removed (since adding her increased my monthly amount) they would refund the difference to me because the next payment would be taken out before I needed to remove her.July 28 I called to remove her & was told I needed to provide proof she had insurance and no longer lived with **** asked what I needed to send & was told they would email me.Aug 1 I rcvd an email & replied the same day with a screen shot (which was listed as approved in the email) of her proof of insurance card with her current address on it.Aug 2 I rcvd an email stating the image must be in pdf format. I had to find someone that had that ability to convert the image.Aug 8 I sent the same image in pdf.Aug 9 I rcvd an email stating the image was not approved, & they listed other documentation that was approved, this email didnt list proof of insurance card. The same day I called & spoke to a representative & she said to re-send the image to the same email because she didnt know why they didn't approve it, all looked good to her.Aug 10 I rcvd another email that the document was not approved. I replied back to please call me so I can understand why.Aug 26 I still hadn't heard anything so I emailed the same email I enclosed a pdf form of her registration which was listed in the email of approved documents.Aug 29 I rcvd another email stating the document was not approved again. I called & they finally told me because it didn't have dates on it showing her address within the last 60 days. I was then told to send over a paystub which I did same day.Aug 30 they finally removed her.Sep 7 I called & cancelled. I asked about the refund & was told she would submit the ************** would reach out to me.Oct 28 rcvd a collection letter for a balance. I called & was told refund was a no as I didn't cancel her.Liberty Mutual Group

I was with this company over 7 years and they just kept raising my rate. When I got fed up and told them I was canceling my policy they didnt even care they almost seemed like they want their customers to leave. Ive never seen a company with so many unprofessional workers no one that works there seem to know what they are doing. No one Ive talked to even cared about the customer if you have a complaint about them good luck they dont care.Liberty Mutual Group

I will NEVER refer anyone to Liberty Mutual again and in all these years I've told tons of people how much I liked them. BUT, that's come to an end. They got too expensive so I went elsewhere and saved about $800.00 a year (for better coverage actually) on our auto, homeowners and ATV policies.The main problem right now is you can NEVER (at least in the state of Utah) cancel your ATV policy unless you lie and say you sold it or junked it. Even if you've already got a new policy you have to pay liberty mutual's premium for the rest of your policy year. That is ludicrous, they should at least tell you when you sign up (oh by the way.....) instead of sticking it in the small print in the pages of your policy. Ridiculous right!!! Holy ****, run don't walk from Liberty Mutual.What if they start doing that with their car and homeowner policies (keeping that little secret), that could become very expensive. Plus a couple other issues, but just know to stay away (they don't return calls and I'm stuck with a UTV on the policy that an email from them clearly states it's not covered until I got back with them which I did to cancel my policies so even though it wasn't covered (according to the email) they're charging me anyway through the end of the policy.Liberty Mutual Group
