I bought my home owners policy in 2015. In 7 years my yearly cost went from $1,192 to $2,969.That is a 250% increase in cost. That averages out to over a 35% increase every year. I have had no improvements, additions OR claims during this time. This policy is for home only.I elected to go paperless when I got this policy. We have an escrow (out of sight out of mind) so when we would have wide swings in our monthly mortgage amount around the beginning of the year we assumed this was property tax related. Had we not been looking over our escrow and PMI, we wouldn't even have caught this. I called to see if there was some mistake. I was told it was just accumulation of premium increases over the years. This is so predatory. Regardless of being paperless, if you are raising rates with people who have escrow accounts you really should be sending out something in writing so that your customers are aware. Especially when the emails that are sent out had changed to another name. (I thought they were junk email because they had Geico listed as the sender.) I don't even know how to feel right now. I am so upset and feel like I have been conned out of THOUSANDS of dollars over the past 7 years. I will be filing a complaint.Liberty Mutual Group

My mother passed away recently and while going through her things I discovered that she was paying for Liberty Mutual renters insurance. My mother was an elderly woman with dementia, on a fixed income and living in government assisted housing. I doubt she had any idea she had the insurance, it was auto debiting out of her checking account. If only I had discovered it before her death I would not have had the unfortunate experience of notifying Liberty Mutual of her death. I contacted them by phone first and they told me to send in proof I had the ability to close her account. I told the rep I was my mother's power of attorney so she sent me an email to upload my paperwork. I received a response saying that I had no rights to close the account unless I was the executor of her estate. My Mom had no will so I asked if there was anything I could do to get the account closed and they sent me a list. I saw that I could send them her death certificate so I sent it in. I received a response saying that her death certificate was not enough to close her account. They said I was required to get her landlord to send me proof that my dead mother was no longer living in her apartment. I was shocked and appalled, how can my dead mother reside in any apartment? They had absolute proof of her death and still refused to close her account. I contacted her landlord multiple times and requested something stating that my mother was no longer living there, they never responded. Why would they waste their time sending a letter out that they do not allow dead people to reside in their apartments? Thank goodness she had no money left in her account or they would have emptied it by charging a dead woman for renters insurance.Liberty Mutual Group

Trash at handling auto claims and roadside service. You cannot get in touch with a real person when you need to. They still try to put the onus on you as the customer after failing to provide service. Never had these problems with my prior carrier.Liberty Mutual Group

I dont have any accounts with Liberty Mutual insurance.How can I be behind in paying my account. There is another person with my name who took my refund money. Her name is *************************. She received my $840 refund. I would like to request that you open a fraud investigation on her.I have contacted Liberty mutual 12 times and gotten no response. Her DOB IS 9/9/59. She has the same address as I do They have placed a derogatory comment on my credit report.Please let me know when you have done this.Liberty Mutual Group

Can not get a supervisor when my billing information is changed to a bank account that isn't mine. Don't understand how they can put someone's information on Mt account. I gave them mine yesterday and they verified...today it is not my routing number or account number.Liberty Mutual Group

This insurance company is very dishonest I am entitled to my refund after ending the policy and they told me that I am not getting it. They also send a high sum of cancelation fee for me to be paid in which they have no valid explanationLiberty Mutual Group

I just signed up with Liberty Mutual for car insurance, I did it over the phone and I was very happy that the insurance agent I spoke to was very polite and professional. She left no stone unturned and was clear about everything. I was previously with "The General ", who was charging me double what I was offered to switch to Liberty Mutual for full coverage insurance. They offer great discounts for safe drivers. I'm a happy customer ??!!!!Liberty Mutual Group

I have a **** ****** Baja that they declared a total. Then they way under valued it on the pay out. I was told I had no rights and could not challenge their payout amount. I supplied comps. They ignored them. Now I have to take it to court to get a ************ on the value of my car. I give Safeco One star ?Liberty Mutual Group

Recently had a claim, and the adjuster told me on the phone that my policy doesn't have useable deductible, and refused to talked about anything else, but suggesting me to ask an agent. This was after ignoring my first call, and me calling to complain about her.When called the local agent office, they emphasized they can't do anything with claim, although I have been telling them it's the adjuster that told me to talk with an agent about the policy. She then asked me to hold, and suddenly disconnected my call. I called again, but no one ever picked it up.What a nice experience with Liberty Mutual, two times in a roll that constantly being ignored. This makes me wonder if it is a "coincident"? Now no one from Liberty Mutual wants to help me and I am stuck here. I guess I should share this experience with everyone that except charging you for the insurance fee, they don't have anyone to help you when you actually need to use the insurance?Liberty Mutual Group
