We have been with ****** for 7 years. Bundled our home and auto with them. About 6 months ago they drastically increased our auto. No reason. No accidents or ticket history. Like doubled in amount so we switched to State Farm. We left our home owners with safeco cause they had a better rate than State Farm. Now our home owners went from $1800 a year to $4200 a year. No claims. No reason. They claimed they did an audit and sent me a letter to see if we still had a tile roof. We have had them for 7 years and have never had a tile roof. This is ************. No one has tile roofs here. They said this wouldve saved me $700 a month and then there was a 30% increase in area along with not bundling home and auto anymore. Ended up dropping them for home also. Our insurance gal thinks that they are trying to pull out of some states and rather than pulling out they are hiking rates so the insurer will drop them on their own.Liberty Mutual Group

Thanks for the response but we have already switched insurances. We gave ****** the opportunity to fix it and they didnt. Even the guy I spoke to on the phone was shocked at how high of a jump it was. Said its not a normal increase. Im not expecting a resolution. I just wanted others to be aware before they consider you for insurance needs.Review fromRic B

multiple times charging me for late fees and notification fees, I have the house insurance on escrow and every year get this $10 and $6 for notification... on what I get an email a couple of months after the escrow account has paid and $6 for what, I don't even get physical mail... thousands of dollars every year in their pocket and still pay this trick, I have another insurance ready to switch... same goes for my gooseoff agents.Liberty Mutual Group

It I could give this company a ZERO, I would !! This is my far the BIGGEST SCAM of a company who is only hungry for money!!! I have been a customer with them for 13 years , and got into a first incident where a deer hit my car! They suggested a collision repair company saying it will not take more than 3 weeks!! I was able to get a rental( we pay for the extra premium) for up to $30 a day! It has been a month since my car has been in the shop and these crooks will not extend my rental for another 4 days until I get my car back !! Its the only car I rely on to get me from work and to my home! Talked to a supervisor, worthless woman! Spoke to a Presidential person, also another worthless person. They didnt solve my issue and continued to laugh at me for calling the presidential person. After being a loyal customer with a ****************** incident they were NO HELP!! Not to Mention their premiums keep Increasing with any explanation from anyone!!! Run and find someone else !!! They are HUNGRY FOR YOUR MONEY!!Liberty Mutual Group

I did and the representative did not solve the problem and when I asked him if he had a solution he laughed and told me no. So therefore, it was not resolved and my whole family of 7 people will be leaving Liberty Mutual! I work in a school system and I also informed my workers of how this company is a scam and DOES NOT VALUE ITS CUSTOMERS OF 12 yearsLiberty Mutual Group

I requested a quote for a condo that I bought in an auction 04/19/24. I have not done any payments nor submitted a payment or a mode for payment. The *********************** had issues that prevented me from paying for the condo until September 29 2024 when I obtained insurance with State Farm insurance. I never received an invoice nor requested for payment. I received a collection notice and proof of payment to another insurance company. My question: How can an insurance policy become effective if no payment is received? Requests have not been made for 5 months. In addition, its reported to credit bureaus for non payment.Liberty Mutual Group

Unethical?If you live in **********, I would not use this carrier.I've had Safeco homeowner's and earthquake insurance since I purchased my home two years ago in **********. I recenty received notice from ***** that they were not renewing my policies due to a drone flying over my home and identifying water ponding isues. I live in the desert and it rains 2-3" per year. Ponding has never been an issue. My agent and ***** suggested hiring a roofing contractor to inspect the roof. I did so and a report was sent to my agent and ******. ****** then rejected the report and stated that they are siding with their drone images. If you don't want to do business in **, just say so. You wasted my time and dollars with the roofing contractor. The worst part is that I was notified of the decision yesterday (12/23/24) so I now need to scramble to find another carrier.Liberty Mutual Group

I backed into a pickup truck. The person got 2 estimates. Our claims agent wanted an estimate from Liberty Mutual's auto body repair business. He didn't take it to Liberty Mutual's suggested place because it was low ball offer compared to the other two. Well they cut a check for the low ball amount and now we can't get ahold of our claims agent. He won't answer calls from the auto body business or the rental car business. Will cancel home and auto as soon as I find a new insurance company. And please don't respond with your lame response.Liberty Mutual Group

Liberty Mutual deserves 0 stars! Cancelled our home insurance when we called to cancel a motor cycle that we sold. So for over a year we were without homeowners insurance without knowing it. Thank God we didnt have a fire or catastrophic event. It caused us to have a lapse in coverage so now were having to pay higher premiums because of this. Their only rectification was to charge us for the time we were without coverage to reinstate us. $3600 for the 4 mos. remaining on the cancelled policy. And this was after complaining to 15 different customer service (ha) agents. ******** customer service and rectification!Liberty Mutual Group

We filed a home insurance claim back in July due to storm damage, and they sent a local business to do an appraisal and quote the work being done. At that time, we felt confident that the job would be done well thanks to the sales *** that was at our home. We were promised everything we were concerned with would be handled. The local business they sent to us was completely disappointing, and ****** did nothing to help us. They were hardly responsive, did not alleviate any of our concerns, and we still don't have a few items from the claim done that we were promised. The ****** agent we were assigned was **** ******. The local business they had do work showed up randomly and did not communicate with us at all. They left a mess of our yard and driveway, leaving nails and trash everywhere, left our gate open, and even broke our brand new fence gate with nothing done about that. The roof looked terrible when it was completed, did not look professional at all.Trying to get ahold of anyone to address our concerns has been the most difficult process ever. It is now 6+ months later, and we have not had some of the work done that was promised.We would not recommend ******* to anyone looking for good quality insurance.Liberty Mutual Group

Ive been a Liberty Mutual customer, and over the past year, my monthly premium has increased from $170 to $298 without any changes to my policy, vehicle, or driving record. I have a clean driving history, yet Ive been unable to get a clear explanation or resolution after reaching out multiple times.Whats most concerning is the apparent disparity in how Liberty Mutual determines premiums. I live in a predominantly Black/Latino, lower-income neighborhood, which seems to be labeled as high-risk, driving up my rates. Meanwhile, Ive seen insurance documents, due to my work showing significantly lower premiums for people in wealthier zip codeseven for younger drivers or newer vehicles.This seems like a case of redlining, where rates are unfairly inflated based on zip code and demographic rather than actual risk factors. If thats the case, its discriminatory and unacceptable.Liberty Mutual Group

We have been with ****** for many years. This last year I had an accident ( which is my first in over20+ years) and my daughter got rear ended. ****** decided to cancel our policy. This place is a joke. I have 4 vehicles, a boat, an RV, and my house all insured through this company. You would think for as much money I spend a month this place would treat people better. I would not recommend this to anyone. Hopefully they go out of business.Liberty Mutual Group
