1 starI utilized a roadside assistance application to arrange for my truck to be transported to an auto repair shop located 6 to 10 miles away. I informed the shop that the vehicle would arrive in approximately 15 minutes. However, my truck was mistakenly delivered to a location an hour away, resulting in a charge of around $300 to my debit card. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach anyone to prevent this error. Subsequently, I incurred an additional charge of $300 to have the vehicle relocated to the correct address. Following this ordeal, I required further roadside assistance to jump-start my battery. The technician contacted me to indicate that he had the wrong address and was delayed due to the app providing inaccurate information once again. This series of events ultimately cost me $700, including overdraft fees, just before the holiday weekend.Review fromHany M

Horrible company. Never had a claim in my life, had a rock chip repaired and ****** reported on my CLUE report , which has now cost me $1250 a year premium increase for the next 5 years. ScammersLiberty Mutual Group

Unprofessional and Untrustworthy My experience with Liberty Mutual has been nothing short of awful. Their customer service is shockingly rude, with representatives who seem completely uninterested in resolving concerns or even treating customers with basic ********** make matters worse, their policies are vague and unclear, creating unnecessary confusion. It feels like they intentionally avoid transparency, which is unacceptable for an insurance company. The final straw was their abrupt and questionable decision to drop my insurancean act that seems borderline illegal.If I could leave zero stars, I would. Even 1 star feels far too generous for this company. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your insurance needs.Liberty Mutual Group

If I could leave 0 or -1 stars I would.****** has created a claims process based on a business template of willful blindness and then uses the policy term to avoid the contractual obligation it made in the insuring agreement, with in house so called estimates, as follows:1) sticks its head in the sand and said If I cannot see the damage in photos, it does not exist and I am not going to go look;2) creates bogus internal appraisals based on what it can see in pictures only & substitutes its distorted view of reality for the true reality.3) refuses to answer questions about the internal estimates;4) constant changes insured interface from adjuster, to appraiser, to supplement unit, so each stop along the road has no continuity or responsbility for the overall process.I filed complaints with the Iowa and Montana insurance commissioner(s) and the final paragraph alleged:"****** has adopted a business practice designed to evade its obligations by: 1) willful blindness; 2) writing internal estimates that go outside the scope of their own limit of liability clause. By adding layers of complexity in the claim process, refusal to address questions regarding their internal estimates and keeping the $ amounts low, it has created a business model designed to shaft its customers, but not in $ amounts large enough for most of the customers to do anything about it.'As of 12/1/24, the Montana Insurance commissioner still has the business practices complaints under review. Safeco ponied up a big check to me, but I continued to push for the regulators to investigate the business practice of willful blindness that masquerades as a claims process.Posted 12/1/24Liberty Mutual Group

Downsize and moving out of state, so decide not renew the car insurance. Called before the renew payment due date (and the policy expiration day), told the customer service not to renew, the *** said OK and disconnected the phone. A few days later received a $25 bill for cancel auto insurance fee, called again, the *** sent me an email form for me to submit cancellation in writing, which I did. The *** told me the $25 fee was because I did not notify them earlier. I told her I did, and she said the fee will be avoided and I need not to worry. A month later another bill came for the $25 fee. Called again, this time the *** and her supervisor told me there is no way to waive this fee because it is too late. Although I did everything right and kept communicating with them, now I have to pay this unreasonable fee for the incompetence of a Liberty Mutual ***resentative. I have been insured with Liberty Mutual for many years, home and as many as 4 cars, never missed any payment. It is very disappointing.Liberty Mutual Group

I made every attempt to stay with this company. The first time the rate increased I dropped collision and comprehensive. This time i called and spoke with a representative and she essentially told me she couldn't help me. So why would I bother to connect with your ******************** Team. My monthly rate went from $45 to $236 without any disclosure. I am extremely mad. I was also charged a cancellation fee. Incredible how companies that are supposed to keep us safe just take advantage of customers.Liberty Mutual Group

This is THE worst homeowners insurance company I've ever dealt with. They make up reasons not to pay on claims. They keep saying it was a pre existing issue even though it absolutely wasn't. The house passed all inspections when I purchased it 2.5 yrs ago. I have had the room maintained twice. I've had 2 leaks they have denied. They won't even provide the adjusters photos. They keep saying my email box is full and they are getting errors Meanwhile I receive all kinds of emails. From what I understand there is some insider insurance claim system that records al claims paid out or not and if I try to get other quotes the cost is outrageous due to these denied claims that are now on some insider record. Liberty Mutual is a total scam. Buyer beware. DO NOT use this company. They treat their customers like they are liars. I am paying for a service that does NOT support their customer. I filed a claim to get my roof replaced due to storm/hail damage and it was denied. My neighbor's house and 6-7 other houses in my neighborhood had their roof replaced by their insurance company (not Safeco) however it seems that my house is the one house that was not damaged. The customer service is horrible, when I called to discuss with them and told them that it seems strange that several houses including my direct neighbor's house showed hail damage to the roof the response from the adjuster was that he has seen a lot of strange things in his time in the business. The customer service is horrible, they speak to you in a very condescending manner!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, I AM DROPPING THEM IMMEDIATELY. It's not a coincidence, that of all of the reviews there is only 1 positive review. This company sucks!!!!Liberty Mutual Group
