I had a bad experience with Fidelity that I would like to share.I retired four years ago and decided to set up brokerage accounts within **********************, Vanguard and American Century and set aside some money to trade stocks. The idea was the money will stay in retirement so that there will be no capital gains/losses until such time that I start my RMD. Well Vanguard and American Century set up the brokerage accounts correctly but not Fidelity. Fidelity took money out of my retirement account and set up a ************************************************* account . There was no way I would know that this had happened and since we got our 1099 online so I wasn't even aware of the tax liability for a couple of years until we got audited for a prior taxable year and we had to pay the overdue tax plus the penalty. When we complained to Fidelity we got the run-around.The lack of support and apathy was a wake-up call to me who had always envision Fidelity to be a customer focused organization. I subsequently paid off the tax bill, closed my Fidelity account and moved the money to Vanguard.************

Discriminated against me by sending a check even after providing direct deposit information. Was a customer with this ********************** for 10 + years and was targeted against my own portion of savings. 0/10 would not recommend.

I give Fidelity a big fat 0 (zero) star rating due to their rude handling of this departure.Fidelity Investments, having had my accounts since 2018, decided that I would ruin their reputation due to my conviction in 2017 for a controversial subject dealing with Constitutional issues, among which, Freedom of Speech, Failure to follow Due Process of Law by the Circumvention of Amendment process in altering Constitutional freedoms and Creation of Rule by Force of Arms in enforcing Blatantly Obvious Unconstitutional Legislation by use of Armed individuals. Sorry No Joke here, This is really happening in the **************Even though I have served my time and have had a good record on probation, as well as being my Sister's ****** Surrogate after her 9 strokes, my parent's caretaker and voluntary caretaker of my neighbor (a semi-blind Veteran and loosing sight in the remaining eye; I am also a Vet of 14 years service as well), Fidelity has chosen that without any violation of trading rules or the company's financing rules and without any forewarning to 1) look backward at only a non-financial "crime" conviction and force a closure of my account by restricting trades utilizing my own money "without any potential of reinstatement or recourse", 2) terminated my credit card despite having over $350,000.00 being held at their company causing me financial harm directly and indirectly, and doing so under the auspice of "protecting their reputation".From what I see here, dumping me to protect their reputation is like an old prostitute putting on makeup. They have not only lost my business, but my multi-generational family members.across this Nation, from ******* to ******, and from ****** to the *********** and anyone that will listen and learn from my experience with Fidelity as I have already instigated a transfer to another brokerage.

Paid $25 for over night express delivery it has now been 6 days since I paid for the express over night. Called was told because the day I made the withdrawal out of my 401k account was a holiday it was delayed a day this was a Wednesday. So Thursday it should have been processed and sent out that day and I should have received it on Saturday at the latest. But here it is Monday late afternoon and I still have yet to receive my check. Checked the tracking on Saturday at 7 am it was 2 hours away .

My friend and business partner was left some money from a relative who passed away. He has been trying to have Fidelity send/wire him the money for months. He has spent hours/days/weeks and now months on the phone with several people at Fidelity to get the money wired and/or have them issue a cashier's check. During the process, and due to some identity theft he experienced a few years ago, he authorized them to send the money to me. On Fidelity's website, you can go in and link a bank account. He has done both. I am authorized to receive money via my bank account and it's been linked to his Fidelity trust account. We are TWO months into the process with Fidelity and nobody will give him HIS money. There is NO reason a financial institution needs to delay the process several months. It's a matter of wiring the money and closing the account, and/or issuing a cashier's check and sending it overnight. I also have my own 401K and Stock Plan with Fidelity, but after this experience, I am thinking of closing my accounts too. This is INSANE and there should be laws penalizing these companies each day they delay giving folks their money!!!!

Greetings, On 6/17/2024 I contacted Fidelity by phone to know how to resolve the matter concerning my husband's account who has an Alzheimer's and is not able to conduct the conversations. Prior my call, 17 days ahead I sent paperwork including the Power if Attorney and instructions. The representative who picked up the call, was not listening to my question, and I asked her to connect me to the momager. She replied, that it would be her, and I had to deal with her. Several moments after, unable to answer my concerns, I was switched to the manager. Both representatives talked over me, interrupted, would not let me formulate my concerns. I told both of them that the terms they are using are not familiar to me, I do not know who should I talk to besides the phone number I have from Fidelity communication. The waiting time was over 30 minutes. All interactions were extremely unpleasant and rude, to which they responded that they are not rude. At the end of the conversation, a representative switched me over to another department and I was placed on hold, and the call was never picked up.I find it extremely unpleasant to work with their customer service. Also, ********************** was NOT my choice, I ended with them through my employer preference.

I was receiving a large check for a 401k loan. I had to update my bank account due to fraud. ********************** wanted me to wait 14 to verify my updated banking information for direct deposit. I instead paid $25.00 for *** overnight. When *** sent me a photo of where they left my check, not my porch or anyone familiar to me I immediately contacted Fidelity and filed a claim with ***. Fidelity said that the check would be canceled and reissuance would take a week. I ask about DD and was told no, once a check always a check. I questioned sending a sizable check without needing a signature and was told once they gave it to *** it wasn't Fidelity's problem. I then asked about canceling the loan and was told too late, we will start taking the money out of your paycheck. Here I sit, no money and loan payment out of my check. Bad customer service!

My account was hacked on Saturday and they have a number on their website they say to contact right away for these issues but ***** is there to answer the phone and they tell me to call back on monday. WTF is wrong with them they need people on 24/7 if someone is trying to hack your account with millions of dollars in it.

I have been trying to receive a check from here for months. I no longer work with a company that deposited into Fidelity Investments for retirement. I was not told that they were issuing a check to drain the account because I had not contributed in over a year (was not made aware of that either). They sent the check to an old address. I called to change the address to a new one and they sent it again to the old address. This has happened over 4 times now. I called a week ago about this same issue and to change my address to reissue the check. The guy on the phone said he could overnight the check to the new address. He blatantly lied to me on the phone as I called again today and he did nothing to help change the address or reissue the check. Horrible customer service and their database is clearly old not working. I should have not had to call 5 times to have my address changed. I still am unsure if they have changed my address now. Horrible company and horrible customer service.
