    Toast POS used to be very user friendly. Everything was easy to use and made sense. They have updated their entire system and now things take longer to do for no good reason. Items now ring in under seat numbers instead of being organized by course. There are extra buttons and steps to do things that used to be flawless. As a server this new layout makes it way more time consuming and difficult to do my job. I used to be able to ring in a tables order and easily edit courses and see what I rang in for the whole table before sending. Now its all mixed in with previously ordered stuff on their seat and you have to scroll a lot to see and double check everything. I dont understand why they would change a good thing. The old version of toast was so good. I miss it.

    This is the third year we are using the TOAST pos system. We have a small cafe that is run only nine weeks during the summer. We have had issues from the very beginning with this pos system. However, we weathered those problems because we've invested several thousands of dollars for the equipment and hours in learning the online system.This year, our season started June 22nd. Over three weeks ago, we contacted the TOAST customer service to turn on our account. It turned out someone at Toast "churned" our account back in February, 2024. Apparently, "churning" means our account was closed. It is two weeks since we opened and we are still not live. We have not been able to do payroll. Our employees are losing tips. Our customers cannot order online.The people in customer service are helpful up to a point. Every area of TOAST is compartmentalized so any issues brought up are forwarded to the next person who might be able to address a problem. Our sales rep, the person who onboarded our account back in 2022 is avoiding our calls. The problem getting our account turned on is beyond customer service, beyond the sales team, beyond just about everyone we've spoken with on the phone. We have no idea with whom we can talk about getting our account turned on. We were told our bank was blocking TOAST for payments and billing. We had the bank manager talk with the TOAST billing people without any luck. This is not acceptable from a large company such as this restaurant management company. We highly recommend looking at other pos systems. If we had looked at the BBB profile of TOAST three years ago, we would have looked elsewhere. Very disappointing. Their marketing is better than the product.

    I placed an order and received an email that the restaurant didn't confirm my order. The email said I should call the restaurant. I did and no one answered. I called ToastTab and they told me there was nothing they could do to refund my money. They told me to take it up with the restaurant. How is it even legal that a business can charge credit cards but they have no customer support or ability to offer a refund. The person I spoke to said the only customer support is to restaurants. I'll be filing a complaint in ** and with my credit card company.

    Absolutely stay away from these frauds. I picked this company for a pos system and was charged over $900 for onboard calls which never happened. I was never shown how to use the system, and for the best part i have been getting charged for payroll and all the other apps and they havent been set up because ******* still hasnt finished setting up the account which was A YEAR AGO! They have been playing games about refunding my money and im sick of these games.

    I did not receive an item I ordered and paid for. No one at Toast can help. This is an awful platform and should not be available to the public if they are unable to resolve issues. I want my money back.

    I was owed $500 from my last paycheck. My paystub shows $500 was send to toast payout. I activated my new card and now the funds are missing. *** contacted support multiple times via phone and was told contact support via email. I was then told by email support to contact the card via phone. No one in this company knows how to resolve an issue. Nor do they care that they stole $500 from me.

    We use toast at our Food Truck in **************, ********. We tried integrating doordash into toast and when we visited the shop on Toast it was locked and we were unable to add the integration. After reaching out to our onboarding contact ***** who was unable to resolve the issue and directed us to ************** After contacting customer care they gave us the runaround yet again ultimately telling us it was not a billing hold but a hold placed by the onboarding team. This hold has persisted now for 5 days with 0 resolution or support from Toast, they have dropped the ball completely on us. We expressed we had an advertisement running for several days that we spent money on to promote that we were on doordash and that money has now been wasted, not to mention the potential sales we have lost. Toast's support has been horrendous. If I knew this was going to be the case we would have never gone with toast.
