I inherited stock that was held at BNYMellon via ComputerShare. I sold that stock this week. Their fees are exhoritant compared to other similar service providers. In additon to the market order plus per share cost (which I understood), their documentation did not clearly articluate that I was to be charged a $35 fee for a direct deposit (it was made to look like it was for a wire transfer - which they did not do becasue the transaction was less than $20,000 - it was a direct deposit). I reviewed all documents I signed and there was no reference to the $35 fee. There was a printed link to www.bnymellon.com/shareowner uder FAQ's on the Terms and COnditions of Sales Facility document provided when the account was activated. However the link goes to a page stating "The page you're looking for is not available".When I called I was told I could have received a check for free and/or I could have transferred the shares to another brokerage without a charge from their side. In reviewing online documentation, there would have been a $5 fee for a check, but I was able to see that a transfer "book to book" would be no charge.I called ComputerShare just after I completed the transaction and verified that no fee would be charged since a wire transfer was not necesarry. This is a clear deceptive practice and theft of funds.

Computershare is not clear in how they are stating their fees. Were they clear, I would have opted for the check vs and electronic transfer. All I have seen/read said that a check also included a fee. I was trying to avoid any, and all, fees where possible. Therefore, I did not "accept" the $35 fee becasue it was not clearly stated.

Computershare is also not consistent in how to see and undertand those fees. As stated in my original note, even when I go to the printed materials they provide, the link in their is not active and; thus, not compliant with proper notice rules as expected by the SEC. I will share my inform
ation with the SEC accordingly unless Computershare makes some sort of refund or compromise. I am aloso sure that key politicians (Sen.. ******* Rep. ************************** et al) will also be keen to learn of the discrepancies and misleading information that Computershare provides.

An EFT (or direct deposit) is not a wire transfer. The highlight they show is that for a Domestic USD Wire Fee. Both the documents shared by ComputerShare reference wire fees. In the case of the document showing electronic payment, it ambiguously shows a blank space, suggesting there is no charge. I again raise the point that when I followed the link in the document provided to view a fee schedule, the link resolved to a "not available" page. This further underscores a lack of proper information at the least, or an attempt to mislead - an even worse practice by the company.

At this point I will begin leaving reviews to advise people to beware of ComputerShare and their interest in misleading investors with misinformation. Hopefully ComputerShare can learn something from this event to more properly guide and help users. UI/UX design is important. Good work leads to people knowing and fully understanding what is at stake. Bad work is either negligent or predatory.

I sold some share of company stock that I owned. I request of Computershare, that the funds from the sale be sent to my bank account via domestic wire transfer. I was charged a $30 fee for the wire transfer. A couple of days later and I still do not have the wire transfer that I paid for. International wire transfers can take up to 3 business days, and domestic wire transfers are supposed to be the same business day or within 24 hours. Even an ACH transaction, which is free deposits the same business day or next. Computershare is engaging in deceptive practices by selling customers on the purchase of wire transfers, when in fact it is anything but.

The state controllers office sent me notices to claim my shares before they get sent to the state  controllers office property division. Im gonna get an attorney to help me or what till my shares gets transfered to the state controlers office to claim it.  They have locked many people out of their accounts from what I read on consumer financial bureau complaint site

There are many people who this is being done to so I will get an attorney to look into this matter for me and all others going through this with this company.

Computershare has provided a bogus trace # and myself or my bank has not recovered any funds.  Please see investigation letter by my bank that they claim to have sent the funds to.  USAA said that if funds were wire transferred there would be a different type of tracking but they also attempted to find an ACH transfer without any luck.

My mother passed away in late 2021, and I am the sole beneficiary of her estate. At the time, she owned shares of a company managed by Computershare. I have made multiple attempts to contact Computershare -- approximately 6 times via phone and 2 times via mail -- to get those shares transferred to my name and then liquidated, with the proceeds of that sale going to me. I have provided Computershare every document they have asked for, including the court order appointing me the estate's representative, my mother's death certificate, Medallion-stamped documents, and other forms that I have filled out at Computershare's request. I have also paid Computershare a fee of over $700 for the purposes of processing this request. After all these months, Computershare still refuses to process my request. When I call them, they indicate they cannot process my request and direct me to provide them another document. I provide that document and they then tell me they need something else. Most recently, Computershare would not accept the court order appointing me personal representative of the estate because they say the court order was dated more than 60 days prior to my request to Computershare. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any business. I simply want to settle my mom's estate, and Computershare has imposed continuing hardships and impediments to do so. I have reached the point where I am sincerely speculating about the legitimacy of this business. I am deeply frustrated that Computershare continues to decline to transfer funds to me that are legally mine. All I am seeking is for Computershare to liquidate the stock shares that are legally mine and then give me the proceeds of that sale.

In **** my parents purchased 176 shares in Boston Scientific (BSX) stock. They never touched the stock. It split 2 for 1 in both **** and ****. Computershare is the transfer agent for Boston Scientific. My mother passed in 2012 and my father passed in late 2022. I was named executor of my parent's trust fund. I have been trying to locate the stock since my father's death. At first I had to file for ********** and I did so. I have been told by Computershare that they only have 352 shares total. There should be 704 shares. They continuously tell me they don't know where they are and since it happened more than 6 years ago they are not responsible. I have heard this same story over and over again about Computershare. I don't understand why they are allowed to milk people out of millions of dollars with there hocus pocus answers.
