I am not happy, I literally contacted Computershare on 11/7/2022 and they told me they were changing my last name from ***** to ******. They told me I would get the paperwork in the mail and this change would happen in 3 days. I never got anything in the mail so yesterday (12/09/2022) I called back and they told me they never changed my name. I told them I would have NEVER paid the $50 and I would have went to the bank and got the stamp which would have been free if I knew it was never going to be done. I want my $50 back as I paid this $50 so I could have this name changed ASAP and it never happened. So now I am requesting my $50 back and my name changed to ****** as I was promised. I feel you don't promise something if it isn't going to be done and again I would have never paid $50 if I knew it was going to take months to complete. This doesn't look good on Computershare and I am requesting my $50 back. Thanks, ********Initial Complaint

ComputerShare currently holds 984 shares of **** stock in mothers name, *****************************, Acct C0014998365. I received a FINAL for guardianship of my mother on January 12, 2022. Again, a FINAL Order for guardianship from the Probate Court in ************** ********. On September 7, 2022, I sent ComputerShare a completed transfer form, included their required medallion guarantee, and $272.03 to have these share certificates replaced since they are lost. I also sent them the guardianship order which I had certified by the probate court on May 18, 2022. They responded by saying that the guardianship order does not comply with their legal requirements because it is more than six months old. Again, it is a FINAL order of guardianship. They refuse to transfer the account to a custodial account I spoke with my attorney and was informed that ComputerShare is defying a court order, and that we would need to haul ComputerShare into court and have them appear before the judge who issued the order and explain. I simply want ComputerShare to comply with ******** law and Transfer the shares as requested. The Judge will not issue another FINAL ORDER. I would prefer not to haul ComputerShare into the Hempstead County Probate Court. Cant we avoid this expense? ComputerShare Document ID ***************Business Response

After my father passed away in July I completed all the necessary paperwork to have my dad's stocks in his Trust account transferred to me as his trustee. For the Takeda Stock, this was completed on 10/20. This included adding my name as trustee and a new address. On 11/18, through the online automated system I attempted to sell all 357 shares of stock which had an approx value of $5,015 at that time. The system said that I wasn't allowed to sell all the shares of stock which I found odd since it is a relatively small amount of stock and dollar value. I sold 300 shares of stock. On 11/21, I attempted to sell the remaining 57 shares of stock and again the system said I was not allowed to sell all shares of stock. I sold 56 shares of stock. On 12/1, I attempted to sell the 1 remaining share of stock and it would not allow me to. After numerous phone calls and being transferred, I was able to sell the remaining share of stock but would not get proceeds because the selling fee of $25 was higher than the value of the stock. I asked for an explanation of why I could not sell all these shares at one time to begin with, they stated because I made an address change within ********************************************* to a sale of less than $5000. My address was changed more than 30 days before so this made no sense. So now I have paid an extra $50 in selling fees because I had to do this in 3 separate transactions. While this is for a small amount of money this should not have happened. If Computershare (Takeda) does this to everyone that is ridiculous.Business Response

In March 2022, vested shares from an employee plan were transferred from the previous transfer agent (Societe Generale) to ComputerShare. First, Computershare issued the shares in a certificate form and (1) They sent it to the wrong address. After addressing this issue, I tried to sell the shares as per the process below, each time based on their beyond beyond incompetent customer service directions:- **************** told me to send back a form to ask for the shares to be liquidated. I was sent back a letter telling me Computershare cannot sell the shares and I have to go through a broker.- I then went through my broker (E-Trade) and requested a transfer of the shares to the broker. My broker told me the transfer was not possible and blocked by ComputerShares - Following the ComputerShare recommendations, I then converted my shares to book-entry for a DRS transfer. I attempted to transfer the shares again, only to be told the shares are not DRS eligible.- Now that the shares are not DRS eligible, they told me to do a DWAC transfer. I needed a medallion stamp from a bank along with a letter of instruction. I went to my bank and they laughed at me and said it is illegal to stamp a letter of instruction, and they can only stamp official form.- I then asked ComputerShares to re-issue a new certificate, I sent the certificate to E-Trade as per the recommendation. The shares appeared on my account. When trying to sell, they showed as restricted and I am unable to trade - I then contacted Computershare **************** again, and they told me that I needed to fill out the custody form. That didn't change anything - Finally, after calling customer service again and telling them to release my shares, they sent me a new stock transfer form that needs to be stamped by some office in ******. The big caveat is that the first line states that this form is not applicable to certificates transferred to stock brokers I am back to square one, after trying to sell for 9 months.Business Response

To date Computershare has transferred accounts C0008739145 ********** C0007839871 ********** C2001320885 (Lumen), C0005754666 ******* 47 of the 112 shares in account C0005754640 ******* and C1004421350 (WBD). They have not transferred the remaining 65 shares from C0005754640 ******* or C1000942142 and C1000942134 (both WBD). I have provided Computershare with a Death Certificate for my father, ************************************, a Death Certificate for my mother, ***************************, court issued Letters of Appointment for probate, and a notarized Waiver of Probate for ********************************. The accounts in question all are in the name of *****. The Social Security numbers for the deceased match on all accounts, as well as addresses and phone numbers. Computershare has everything they need legally to complete the stock account transfers. The last time I spoke with Computershare they refused to complete the transfers instead sending me yet another set of transfer paperwork asking for more of the same information already provided. They demanded a Medallion Signature Guarantee but then informed me they would waive it for a fee. This means the Medallion Signature Guarantee is not necessary but an attempt to generate more unnecessary fees. The bank account of ******* and ***** has been closed. Assets have been dispersed and there is nothing left. There will be no more fees paid to Computershare for doing what they are supposed to do without fees. Please help me with making Computershare finish the transfer of stock accounts. **************************, son and executor of the Will for ******* and *********************Business Response

I am a senior citizen and was not advised that this was a high-risk investment. I'm living in a senior home and need my $50,000. I feel I was misled and taken advantage of just for the banker, *********************** of Banco Popular, to get a commission. We all know the older you are, the less risk you should take with investments. That's why I know I was misled. I will be 87-years-old this month. If there is another avenue I can take to recoup my money from Banco Popular, ComputerShare/HTI, I'd like to know how.
This is incredibly distressing and there should be more avenues for senior citizens to get restitution in these matters. Had I known this was a risky investment, I never would have approved and invested in this company.
Thank you for your time and attention this matter.
Sincerely,
Laconia *******

Through TT Electronics I participate in a stock purchase program. Every 3 months you have the option to withdrawal or if doing so early, you will have to wait until that 3 month period is up to be able to cash out and access your funds, have them transferred to your bank account, ect. I have been trying to cash out since the 3 month period was up, since October 31st 2022. Every week day I have called them, they have a different excuse as to why they havent allegedly purchased the stocks yet, or that I cant access them. They have refused to give me ANY account information on my own account!! They also put in a fake email address for my account that I NEVER authorized. It is not November 10th and they claimed on the 31st of October it could take **** days for them to purchase them. Today I called again, and they said oh we havent purchased them yet sorry youll have to wait. This is clearly a scamming company that is trying to steal my money. This needs a resolution of giving me MY MONEY that was taken from MY PAYCHECK at TT Electronics, to be rightfully given to me and to stop with the excuses and runaround!!Business Response

My mother ********************************* passed away 5/8/2021. Amongst her belongings were two stock certificates she obtained years ago from her former employer ******. I attempted to cash these certificates in with Computershare but they told me my mother had three certificates not two and that I had to pay to replace the third certificate. Also they told me I had to pay to cash in the certificates. I explained to them there was nothing in the instructions indicating there was a fee to cash in stock certificates and I could not afford to buy a replacement third certificate and that I'd like to just cash in the two I located and applied for to cash in. Computershare insisted they would not cash the two certificates unless I paid to replace a third certificate I did not find amongst my mothers belongings. I asked them to send back the two certificates and I would take my business elsewhere. ComputerShare sent back the application but kept the certificates. I called again and was told they are not sending back my mothers certificates to me. They are holding my inheritance hostage essentially stealing from me. I want the value of the certificates refunded to me or my mothers original certificates that doesn't belong to ComputerShare returned to me.Business Response

I have been attempting to transfer stocks and dividends in my deceased husband's name with Computershare for several years. In my latest attempt, I procured the necessary Gold Medallion Seal from my bank as requested. At which point they said I needed a Certified Copy of my Husband's death certificate along with notarized ************ documentation along with a certified copy of a will. I had previously stated there was no will - my husband never wrote or created a will. I sent the Certified death certificate along with a notarized ************ Affidavit on 9/22/2022 which met all of their "requirements" with the exception of the non-existent will. I cannot produce something that does not exist. Today, I receive an automated form letter saying they did not receive the required documents to process the transfer. I cannot afford to hire a lawyer to resolve this issue and it seems the company is not complying with my request even though I have provided everything within my power that they have required. I would like to see this matter resolved and the shares and dividends transferred in my name. My husband died 02/06/2004 - after nearly 19 years, I can't revive him to get a will created!Customer Answer

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I truly expected more from the BBB - this basically just throws the entire mess back in my lap. Thanks for nothing. This company is out of control - they won't accept the documents provided as being adequate ; they want my husband's will - he did NOT have a will. I cannot produce something that does not exist - his death certificate should be all the proof needed. Guess I will be getting legal counsel and will be going after the BBB as well for lack of assistance. Again, thanks for NOTHING1!!!!!!Business Response
