We have two accounts in our agency for ***********************. One was sent over to us on 2/19/2019 and the other came to us on 12/7/2020. The accounts are not duplicates; they are for two separate dates of service. We have contacted Dinis numerous times both by phone and mail but we have never received a response. Due to the lack of communication from Dinis, we submitted both accounts to the credit bureaus. We are more than happy to help Dinis resolve the accounts but Dinis must contact our agency at ************. Thank you!

I received a call on Monday, February 19,2024 from First Financial Resources. The person stated that my file was sent to them about a $100 debt that I owed to Fallon Ambulance. I told the person I paid that debt directly to Fallon Ambulance on November 1, 2023. I told them not to call me again. I told them to call ****** Ambulance to verify the debt was paid. The person said they did not have their number. I told the person I did not understand how they did not have the contact number for Fallon Ambulance. This makes no sense to me how they did not have a contact number. Fallon Ambulance referred my file to them so they should have a contact number. I already filled out a complaint form against Fallon Ambulance. I need this issue resolved. I do not want this to be on my credit report as an unpaid debt. Because I paid it. I have a receipt verifying that it was paid and the date it was paid.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/09/2024

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

    [Dear BBB,
I appreciate the opportunity to respond to the message provided by FFR regarding my complaint #********. I firmly assert that I do not have any contractual obligations or acknowledge the alleged debt being pursued by FFR. Their correspondence fails to provide substantive evidence validating the legitimacy of this claim. In fact, their actions directly infringe upon my consumer rights as outlined by several federal statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Under the ***** 611(a)(1)(A), any entity reporting information on my credit report must provide verification of the debt upon my request. FFR has not furnished any substantial evidence or validation of the alleged debt despite my requests for verification. Additionally, the ****** 809(b), explicitly mandates debt collectors to provide validation of debts upon request and cease collection activities until proper verification is provided. FFR's persistence in reporting derogatory marks on my credit report without substantiating the debt is a violation of this provision.
Their statement regarding legal action is misleading. While they claim not to take consumers to court, the implication that their client might pursue legal action contradicts their assertion. FFRs actions create undue distress and imply potential legal consequences, breaching the FDCPAs guidelines that restrict deceptive or misleading representations in debt collection.
I have made no attempt to evade communication with FFR. Contrarily, I have sought validation of the alleged debt, which is my right under federal law. Their claim that I have not responded to their letters or phone calls is inaccurate. Rather, I have consistently requested validation of the debt, which they have failed to provide.
I kindly request your intervention to ensure that FFR complies with federal statutes governing debt collection practices. I urge them to provide substantiated proof of the alleged debt and cease any further derogatory reporting until such validation is provided. Their persistent disregard for my rights as a consumer and their failure to substantiate this claim are of utmost concern.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
    Sincerely,***************************.]
