I have purchased from this website twice (9/16/22 and 11/28/23) and received products as ordered. Without my knowledge, the rewards program started charging me $16.95 per month in May 2024. My account with the company states I have a membership with the rewards program but I am not able to login to "my rewards account" to cancel since it was not set up using my email address, which I use for all accounts. I do not have any email confirmation of signing up for this subscription. I don't understand why it would randomly start charging me 6 months after my purchase. I would like a refund for the 4 months of $16.95 charges (total $67.80) and be removed from the rewards program so that I am not charged next month.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about our Christianbook Rewards program. We genuinely apologize for any confusion regarding the Christianbook Rewards program and that it wasn't clear to you that you had opted to enroll in the 30-day free trial after completing your purchase. It's important to us that our offerings are clear and beneficial for our customers so we try to send email periodically about your membership status so that you're aware of your active enrollment--we're sorry you missed those.

When you placed your order with us, we presented an offer to receive a rebate on your order. It asked for you to provide your email address and click on the join button and explained that after the 30-day free trial there is a monthly fee of $16.95 for Christianbook Rewards.

We'll make sure that your account has been cancelled and will ensure that you're refunded for any charges that were posted to your account for your ********************** Rewards membership.

Please know that your concerns will be shared with the right team for further evaluation. We deeply appreciate your trust in us, and we are committed to ensuring a better experience for you in the future.

I made a purchase from Christianbook, buying a few books that had a positive impact on my life to share with some of my closest friends. Unfortunately, I recently discovered that ever since that purchase, Christianbook has been charging my credit card $14.95 each month for a subscription service that I did not knowingly sign up for.I was entirely unaware that I was enrolled in any kind of subscription program, and at no point during my purchase did I realize that I was agreeing to such charges. I am quite disappointed to find these recurring charges on my credit card, especially since I did not consent to them. I believe this is a misunderstanding, and I sincerely hope that Christianbook will rectify this situation.I am requesting a full reimbursement for these unauthorized charges and that the subscription be immediately canceled. I trust that Christianbook values its customers and will handle this matter with the same integrity that I have experienced in their other dealings.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I placed an order on on 5/9/23 for books from christianbooks.com. I remember being asked to join the rewards program but declined since I don't ever order books from here and wasn't anticipating using them in the future. Somehow, I have been being charged monthly for $14.95 for a total of $224.25 over the past 15 months. I am not able to access or cancel this program since it does not recognize my email or phone, so the website claims I do not have an account. I see others have had similar issues and I would like my subscription cancelled and the $224.25 refunded.

I placed an order March 2023, and received it in the following week and was very pleased. However, since that time without my knowing, they also somehow signed me up to a ********* rewards**** program that I did not authorize, charging me monthly for $14.95 each month for a total of ****** to my debit card. I am not even able to cancel this award program since I did not sign up with an email or phone. I want a refund of $****** as I have not ordered since.

I placed an order on Christianbooks.com on January 30, 2024. I was offered a rewards membership that I declined because this was a one-off purchase...and I don't do "free trials" because I don't want to spend the time and hassle having to cancel. I discovered last month that a vendor entitled ************************ had been making monthly charges of $16.95 to the same credit card that I used to purchase the books. I called the number given on my credit card statement on 7/15/24 and discussed with an unnamed person there...explaining that these appeared to be fraudulent charges. She claimed that I must have "accidentally" signed up for the rewards program. I didn't...again there would be no benefit to me doing so. She said she would cancel the membership and refund the charges. I received an email the same day indicating that my membership had been cancelled. But I have not been refunded the five monthly charges that had been sent through to my credit card. My thought is that if this was indeed a legitimate program that I "accidentally" signed up for, there would have been some sort of Email communication indicating welcome to the program, or benefits or offers...something! But I did not receive any communication from this company until I got the confirmation that my membership had been cancelled.

I attempted to sign up for a "free trial" of *********************** Membership. I received no email to confirm my sign up (as I was told I would). When I attempted to log in, I was informed I had no membership. Thus, I assumed my sign up had been unsuccessful. Despite this, I was billed $16.95 for three months. I clearly should have been more observant of my credit card statements. When I noticed the problem, I called Christian ***** directly. They were able to quickly cancel my membership. When I explained the situation and asked about my $50.85 that I had lost, they told me, "well, you could have just picked up the phone three months ago like you did today." If I had any confirmation that I was actually a member then I certainly would have. I was taken aback by the bluntness of the customer service and do not plan to patronize them again.

I made an order in April of 2024, I was emailed about my purchase being on backorder. I never received my purchase, and have since been charged $16.95 every month. They said they canceled my order, but have continued to charge my card every month on the same day. Totaling to $50.85, and as their usual charges go I will get charged another $16.95 in 3 days. I have emailed them and all they have to say is that they canceled my order. I logged into my account on their website, and it says I have no payment method set up, so I dont know how they are getting away with charging me every month.

I purchased a bible on June 19th from Christianbook.com and today I noticed a charge for $16.95 on my credit card statement for *********************** I did not sign up for any rewards program. I called the 833 number to ask why I was charged this, what is this service for. The representative explained the service to me, but I know for a fact I did not sign up for anything extra. I told him to cancel it immediately. This is a terrible look for this *********** ******** a deceitful scam and apparently I'm not the only customer this has happened to.
