Alvin Hollis boasts that they have been around for 4 generations. Well, the manner in which *** ******** interacts with the public, their future might be at risk.*** ******** is rude and arrogant. Its difficult to imagine that he would ever have risen to the position as Director if it wasn't that he got into this business only by the accident of ********. Bicknell has zero skills regarding customer service. Furthermore, his behavior strongly suggests that it would be wise for him to enroll in an **************** program. Who slams the phone down on a customer?And, the prices he quotes? Be sure to price shop before letting Alvin Hollis near your wallet.

We're sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. We truly aim to treat all customers as family and apologize for any mistreatment you experienced. Your initial call was to request a water heater replacement. We sent a tech to your home promptly on 6/26/25 to be sure it was necessary. Our tech confirmed the water heater needed to be replaced as it was leaking. He also drained it and isolated the piping so no new water could be added. We charged $250 for that visit (our minimum charge). Your existing water heater was under warranty. Only the tank is covered. Mr. ******** quoted approx $2,000 for: labor, piping materials and a leak detection drain pan. You agreed to proceed. It took five to seven days for the warranty water heater to come in. The project was scheduled within a week of the initial visit. You initially agreed to schedule, but then called back to change your mind because you decided our quote was too expensive. You asked Mr. ******** to waive the diagnostic fee. When he said no, you cancelled the project. We offered to drop off the new water heater at your home. At first you said no, but changed your mind. We dropped it off on 7/8/25 and passed on the $75 'Handling Fee' we were charged by the manufacturer. No additional charges or fees were assessed.Review fromMichael L

Sadly, my oil tank recently sprung a leak. Luckily, I caught it quickly. One call to Alvin Hollis and their best tech was at my door within an hour. Even though it was "after hours". ****!! Outstanding! He pumped out all the oil and left me with a jug to last me a few days. I was able to speak to the owner the next morning, who had already made arrangements for a new tank and all the permits. The next morning, **** was back with a helper. Within 3 hours, I had a brand new shiny oil tank! Thank you Alvin Hollis! This could have been so much worse but you all had me cleaned up and back up and running within 2 days!Alvin Hollis

I recently had to get a new oil tank and called Alvin Hollis. We received a quick response as well as a visit received a Jim ********. He assessed and set up an appointment right away. Team that came was very proficient at replacing the oil tank. One Team lead in particular Gary was very knowledgeable and spent some time explaining the workings of the oil tank to me. I have been a customer of ********************** for over 20 years. Recently my furnace, that was 32 years old, reached its demise. It had not responded to a reset, an AH person came out and installed a motor. Then it was time for an annual cleaning. A short time later the furnace would not reset again so when the AH person came out he spotted a major issue that could not be fixed. This was a Thursday, they said they could install a new furnace the following Monday. I made sure the cellar had no objects to interfere with walking and working areas and it was clean. The workers arrived Monday morning at 8:30, they left at 2:30, I had heat. The cellar was left as clean and clear as it had been before they arrived; you wouldnt have known anyone had been there. The work passed fire and plumbing inspection. I would say this was a job well done and carried out in a respectful manner to me, the owner.Alvin Hollis

I've been a satisfied customer of AH for 28 years in this home, 10 years in another and before that my parents were customers for over **************************************************************************** my very old house, the guys discovered a tiny leak which necessitated the purchase of a new tank. Thankfully when the tank was inspected several years ago the guy recommended tank insurance due to the age of the tank (nobody knows how old it was, many occupants of this house before me). That insurance paid $1,400 and I had a budget balance that covered a lot of the cost, so it didn't break the bank. The replacement was scheduled at a date and time convenient to me; the guys showed up on time, removed the old tank, replaced it with a ****** new one, and cleaned up like champs. In fact, that part of the cellar hasn't been so clean since I bought the house, maybe they'd like to come back and do the whole cellar HA!
