  I haven't put in a claim but but we do review my coverage every year and they don't try to upsell ,we just make sure I will be covered for possible problems

  Absolutely appalling right from the beginning-considering this was supposed to my insurance company and the lady I was dealing with was from the get go had a condescending mannerism tone and it was down right rude. Even with supplying the details on taking our car to a place to get appraisal done seemed to irk this lady. because I was pro active to find a place to get this handled. Short story short regardless on whos fault it was the instant interaction with this company was astonishingly horrible and I would never recommend this company, specially when you are the one paying thousands of dollars every year to be treated poorly right from the start. I have had so many different car insurances over the years and never have I had to file a claim but this is not the company to have, from the beginning this person would make you feel like you are NOT a valid paying customer.

  I had the worst experience Ive ever had with an insurance company with Hanover. Someone reported an accident to Hanover without my knowledge. They apparently got my information through my plates because the only information they supplied was a picture of my vehicle. I told Hanover I had no knowledge of any accident and was involved in no accident. I further supplied them with details to show the impossibility of the alleged incident. They said I had no proof of innocence so the accuser was getting a payout, but that neither driver was ruled at fault. I later found out that they had put me at fault! I have no at fault incidents on my record in my 15 years driving except this. Im looking into my options fighting it over them. The second thing that really irritated me with them was the unprofessionalism of the agent handling the case. It may be reflective of only him and not the company, but he was highly unprofessional in the way he spoke to me. If I hadnt known better, I wouldve thought I was the accuser and not the insured! I was very calm and neutral toned with him intentionally and he would speak with sarcasm, as if he knew me and had a personal issue with me. Im sure I have never met the man but I was left very confused after every interaction. A truly wild experience!

  It took 2 months to get our claims adjuster to return our calls, emails. As a retired insurance broker, I was appalled by how Hanover handles claims. I'd get better service from a non standard carrier. If I have to threaten you with the insurance commissioner if you don't respond, you need to find another line of business. Worst claims service bar none. Btw, our claim, almost 3 months later, is still open & my husband's vehicle isn't repaired. I'm unable to requote with an open claim & were approaching renewal. Can't tell me it's not intentional.

  Hanover Ins Co does not make it easy to submit a claim against one of their insured policy holders. Call wait time is excessive, getting connected to a knowledgeable claims person and/or getting a call back would try the patience of a saint! Today was the last straw! I waited an entire day for a scheduled appt with an appraiser. Not only was he a no show but not even a phone call to inform me he wasnt coming! Now Im faced with the ordeal of contacting them again.
