      Great company to deal with, we recently had extensive hail damage to our roof. They were very friendly and understanding, they walked me through the procedure and it worked out great, they were there for me when I needed them most, thank you so much, you'll never know how much I appreciate them!!

      So I have been dealing with an adjuster from **********/Hanover insurance regarding a fire of a residence. The business relationship got weird toward the end of the lengthy, two and a half year, rebuild ****** *** ****** ***********) when I grew tired of listening to the persons personal problems and way too long stories. Anyways, a few weeks ago ****** billed me for the board up of the burned residence and I was under the impression the $2200 dollars was paid directly to them from Hanover. I could be wrong and if so no problemhowever, so I have a sneaky suspicion ****** isnt being honest. I have called my adjuster and emailed them over the course of several weeks and I have received nothing. I even called the Hanover main office and had them email their supervisor and STILL nothing! Someone truly needs to be fired at Hanover and namely this employee.

      I absolutely trust Hanover with my homeowners policies. Ever since 2005/2006, when they settled my claim for damages due to a wall collapse, I have relied on Hanover for my insurance needs - both in ******** and in *****. I am still amazed at how quickly and without hassle they settled my claim.

      I was involved in accident in which a Hanover client was at fault and dealing with these people has been a headache and a half. Ive been in a similar situation where the other driver was at fault and the way it was handled was a lot smoother and way more professional, customer service was not an issue at all. If Im being honest its more like one of theyre employees then Hanover itself but they haven't been too much help in taking care of my problems with this guy and his unprofessionalism. Im not going to bad mouth Hanover too much because I dont know much about the actual company itself and besides the one adjuster named *** everyone else was not the best but decent.

      Where theres smoke theres fire. Its amazing how many complaints are extremely identical. Hanover has repeatedly lied to me (when I can Even get a return phone call); they closed my workmans comp case illegally cuz they claim they received nothing from my employer or my doctors (and yet, I have proof that doc/employer sent them info). The fact that these complaints are on the BBB website is more than you need to know about these people and their employees. I cannot wait to see them in court!!!!!!!!!

      I have roadside assistance with Hanover and I called for a jump start on 10/15/2023. After identifying myself the representative told me my vehicle wasn't on the policy and rudely refused to give me information about my policy. I conferenced the the other policyholder to tell him to give me the information and schedule my service. I gave the representative the address where I was located and told him to repeat it back to me due to his rude behavior and he confirmed my location. Low and behold when the tow truck company called me back they informed me they were located in Michigan. All this was while I was still on the phone for an hour with a very nasty employee. He refused for almost 30 minutes to let me speak to a supervisor and when I finally was transferred the supervisor was equally nasty. I had to be transferred to a manager told told us that the rude behavior "was none of our concern". Hanover roadside is atrocious. It took almost 4 hours to get a jump start and there was no concern for me or my child.

      Everything was fine until I was in need. My vehicle was a total loss from flooding. They failed to send me all the proper forms I needed to complete my claim, failed to give me ALL information I needed to move my claim forward. It has been a month and my claim is still pending. They don't answer calls or return emails. A joke of a company.

      Hanover added new driver to our policy despite us explicitly asking them not to so. The person added does not even have driver license. On the phone, a Hanover representative called Monique stated that getting a learning permit for someone living with us is the reason for adding new driver. Monique went on stating that Massachusetts law does require adding learning permit holder to our policy despite our wish not to do so. We think (and our agent does too) this is not true. The Hanover representative - Monique - misinformed Hanover customers. Seems like our agent was able to correct the mistake although it was not easy to convince Monique. We will wait for two months until our year with Hanover is over and we will switch to another insurance company. Somebody professional.

      Good coverage at a fair price. Haven’t made any claims so I do not know how that end of the business performs.
