I initiated an order for shutters with this company, rescinded my order on the second business day, and was assured Id receive my deposit back within 10 business days. I have stayed in contact with the company weekly to ensure my refund would be handled. Today, on the 14th business day since the order, I check on my refund and the owner couldnt be bothered to respond to my complaint. Theyre expediting a check to me. It cant be expedited when its already well over due. I need my refund ASAP!Business Response

In July of 2023, we ordered 3 blinds from Beltway Blinds for our door, and to this date of September of 2024 the job is still incomplete. They have come to our home about 5 to 6 times to measure the windows in the door and they have completed the 2 side windows shutters but after more than a year, multiple measurements, and 2 tries they can't seem to get the oval shutter correct. They have charged me the full amount without first completing the job. The deal was to pay half and then the other half when the job was complete. After this 2nd attempt with another shutter failed, there has been no contact from the company. I need either them to finish the job or give me back a refund, if they can't get it correct then just give me back the money and since this is the oval shutter which I believe is more expensive than the other 2 shutters, the refund should be more than half of the $2075.Business Response

I am extremely embarrassed that this has been your experience, and I apologize profusely. That said, I know words do not correct anything, its action that creates trust and a positive experience. Both of which we have drastically failed at.
I think a good way to really reach the proper resolution to your project is to have me do a site visit with you and my tech to get your project finalized once and for all. We can cover every issue you expressed and come to the proper resolution.
If this is something you are open to, please provide some dates and times that are about a week and a half out that work for you, even if it is a Saturday.
Again, I truly apologize for the constant delays, failure at communication and the financial part. Lets get this solved for good.

In January 2024, I contacted Beltway Blinds in **********, ** for a free consult. **** ******, Design Consultant, came to our home we decided to move forward with the purchase of Plantation Shutters for our Master Bedroom, Upper window, and sliding glass doors. She assured us the installation would take place in no longer than 3 months. I paid a $5,000 deposit. In the meantime a man came a measured our windows and told us the order was processing. Three months come and go and I start receiving weekly calls from the *************************** saying my order was in transit. I received the same call for 3 more months. It's now 6 months since my initial order. I ask to speak to a manager, a message was taken, no one called me ******* June I finally get a call scheduling an installation. I take off from work and wait for the team to arrive. Once they get here, they realize the measurements were taken wrong and the shutters they have won't fit. I call ****, the project manager and he apologizes and says he will "expedite" my new shutters. And promises me a $1K ********* late July I get a second call scheduling the shutters to be installed. I was told the shutters are in the warehouse. A time frame between 8 AM and 10 AM is set. Again, I take off work. I get a voicemail at 7:50 that morning stating the blinds are actually not available and there will be no installation that day. Why the lie that the shutters were in the warehouse? **** is unavailable to take my call but I do speak to the **************** Manager - nothing but an attempt to "understand" my frustration.AND here we are today, my THIRD scheduled installation date. When I scheduled this the man on the phone stated "We have opened the boxes and made sure the shutters are here and the measurements are correct." The team arrives and guess what? The sliding glass door shutters are NOT on the truck. And NOT in the warehouse. Again, why the lie about opening boxes? This is unacceptable.Business Response

Purchased blinds for full home on 10/18/23 Paid in full for all up front-$16,003.28 Blinds installed in parts from November to January this the errors were realized for 2 doors. Since then it has been difficult to get a hold of anyone in leadership for resolution, front office staff is rude and unhelpful when you call and we were lied to about an onsite reassessment. (No one showed up at all) One door was finally fixed 2 weeks ago then once again we were ghosted about one door we were overcharged for, the other door that has no blinds still and the leader disregarded a request for a partial refund (about $1600) We have secured another vendor now but was compensation for this mess and waste of time. **************** is aware as wellCustomer Answer

We do not dispute the concerns of the Wyatts. Its been a tough few months in our production department and with this job in particular. Due to issues such as described by the Wyatts, we have replaced almost our entire production staff. It does not help the Wyatts at this point, but our clients are receiving much better communication and customer service than experienced by the Wyatts. Mr. and ***************, we are sorry your job did not go as planned. I am glad we were able to come to an almost amicable resolution.

On August 16th, 2023, we ordered two shutters for our bedroom. However, the shutters were wrongly installed: the blackout goes up but does not stay up (we have to use a clothes peg to do so). We have already complained to customer service, but so far nothing happened.Business Response

However, when I called the company back and asked for him, I was told he had left the company (or had been fired; this was not clear). I asked the person for updates on my situation, and they said it had been taken care of and that I would probably hear from them in a week or so. Date of visit was 14 Mar24 even thought this was my 1st quote sales person *********************** assured me that Beltway blinds wants my business. I trust the sales person! I was told that no matter where I go they can price match.I had a 3-5 day window in which I contact *********************** the sales person to change my order from a wand blinds to a fully remote blinds. Rep never returned my call and emails. I called the front office and voice my issue but I was meet with treats my the front desk staff.This is not how you treat new customers. On 7/7/23 a Beltway Blinds rep came to my house & sold me a retractable awning. A $3000 deposit was made and in Sept 23 it was installed. The awing I purchased came with a hood to cover the awning from the elements however after the installation they informed they the hood could not be installed because there was not enough room. I questioned why would the salesman sell me an awning that it too big to fit where I obviously showed him it was to be installed. Ever since they have been trying to come up with excuses. Second, the arms of the awning when opened stay bent so anyone 6ft or taller takes the chance of hitting their head on them. They informed me this is how the awning it made. Again, why didnt the salesman know this. They want me to take a discount off since they could not install the hood portion but I purchase an awning WITH A HOOD and that is the awning I want. If not, then I would have purchased the awning that came without the hood. They now tell me the awning can be installed directly from my roof. To do this they stated that it must be above 40 degrees outside so the mixture they use will settle correctly. They called me to install the beginning of December. I asked are you sure since the weather was pretty cold. A rep from the company, *****, called me to go over the details. He informed me that by installing it on the roof I would lose awning coverage since it will sit further back. I then asked if I could see a picture of exactly how this looks before they start putting holes in my roof (which is only 2 yrs old). the next day someone calls me 8am to say they are coming to install it. I said wait in minute ***** was suppose to send my pictures and also the tempurature that day would be 41 degrees at this high and he was coming at 8am so it would be no where near 40 degrees so I cancelled. They tell me now to ****** pictures because they dont have pictures. Now they wont come out at all until I pay the balance $3000. Very frustratingBusiness Response

Around July 2023, Beltway Blinds came to my home advertising remote blinds for a window above my front door. They took half deposit down instead of 1/3 as required by law. They filled in all order specifications and ordered the wrong shade, a cordless shade with operations up and down. They gave us a money back guarantee and failed to honor it. The cordless shade was never properly ordered with extension pole. Installers admitted the mistake. Beltway Blinds lied and told DISCOVER job was completed, when it was not a stole full payment.Business Response

To whom it may concern: The client received EXACTLY what was ordered, a cordless shade. The shade is too high for anything corded, and the client CHOSE not to spend the money for motorized shades. Attached is work order order along with a disclosure form that the client signed off on stating that cordless shades high up will not be able to be operated. The client was offered a fully functional motorized shade for $1395.00. Instead, she chose the cordless option for $695 knowing that it would not be able to be operated. A copy showing this is also attached in the same document.
It is our goal to satisfy all of our clients. We are happy to do a motorized shade that operates with remote control for $1395.00, and we will refund 50% of what the client paid for the current shade, $347.50.

One of the first lies ******. ********* told you was that the customer got EXACTLY what we ordered. We did not complete the order form. Beltway Blinds filled out the order form with the details of the order entirely. As you can see from the height of the project, this was not a mere installation of a low window level blind. The errors made in the blind order were all Beltway Blinds errors including providing us with ALTA lifetime warranty materials.The project came with a 100 percent money back guarantee that is attached. All steps were followed. The certified letter was sent and Beltway Blinds lied about the guarantee and deceitfully omitted it.

I am rejecting this response because: Business is a fraud. Provided 100 percent money back guarantee. Never produced. Never ordered cordless blind without pole. That is why balance was not paid voluntarily until pole was forthcoming. After the installers provided the pole, they admitted the wrong blind was ordered on their part. They need to refund the entire amount as well as court costs, attorney's fees and return of blind costs. I did not fill out information on contract, his salesperson ****** **** did identifying specs from company. Proceed to notify the public this business is a fraud.

As requested, I have attached the MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. It is Exhibit D in the first attachment.
I have also attached a settlement agreement acknowledging only DISCOVER settled the matter, NOT BELTWAY BLINDS. Discover did refund entirely all monies owed me from this transaction. However, Beltway Blinds still **** me $150 paid to hire a contractor to remove the blind and another $75 to return the blind by courier. This includes all mail costs.

August 2023, we signed a contract with Beltway Blinds to install 2 shutters within my home. I put down just under a $700 deposit for the 2 shutters to be installed upon arrival which I was promised by the individual who came to my home would not take more than 2 months. It is now January 2024 and my shutters have not been installed. My husband and I have repeatedly asked for a real live person update and not a weekly generated text message. We have not received that. The two gentleman that were working our case, one day one gentleman would say, the other doesn't work there and vice versa and then they would never call back with a true update. Same every time we asked to speak with a manager. At this point, we would just want our deposit back because of their refusal to stick with our agreed upon contract terms.Business Response

We had to cancel on 1/2, the customers needed to cancel on 1/12, we cancelled due to snow on 1/16(when it appears this complaint was filed) and then we completed the work on 1/22. Beltway Blinds installed blinds on 8 windows in Aug 2023. 4 of the blinds are solar powered. On the day of installation the solar powered blinds did not work. They have sent out 4 or 5 different people on different occasions and the blinds still do not work. The blinds have an electrical adapter hanging down which is unacceptable.Business Response

We agree. Project not complete. We spoke with *** ******** and agreed to have all 4 shades remade and installed. That's happening now. Should be complete withing about 2 weeks.
