1 starMade a $3,000 purchase on a bedroom set, first day of delivery, slept on my bed only to feel like someone beat me up on my back, the Ashley mattress which I paid almost $1200.00 is the worst thing to sleep on, customer service sucks, they are not helpful, spoke to supervisor Daniel .L. They suck at customer service, would not give any of my business there again. They are not upfront with any of there return/refund policy. Now I know to demand to know return or refund policy before purchasing anything anywhere, it is your right because in the end your the one to be screwed.Review fromDebra B

1 starSomething needs to be done about this company. The should not be allowed to conduct business. First my husband and I ordered a bedroom set. When were setting up the delivery, we were told that a dresser or night stand wasn't available to which we said okay. We were supposed to have 2 separate deliveries. We called to double check, because we hadn't. Stated that delivery was two months away like what. Okay we got that together. Day of delivery, mirror came broke out the box and pieces to the bookcase headboard was missing. We paid for delivery, set up and removal of old mattress. The did not or could not put anything together because pieces were missing. There was a HUGE language barriers so NOTHING was understood. Delivery was supposed to come back with a new mirror, put the bed together, and remove old bed. No one ever came. we called and were told we have to wait for a 24 to 72 hrs return email BEFORE we could even get a rescheduled date. The old mattress and box is still in my house, no mirror or bed. We physically went back to the store NOTHING has been done to rectify this situation. They were PAID IN FULL and did not delivery profession services as promised. I told them I want my money back and come get their furniture at this point. How is this company still in business is beyond me. Now We are stuck sleeping on the floor with $5000 worth of useless furniture in my bedroom. I WANT A FULL REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Review fromTirzah T

1 starI ordered a recliner online mid December 2023 and I received it December 26, 2023. I called on December 26 and complained that I didn’t like the functionality of the chair and they said they would send a tech to look at it and I would receive a phone call within 24 to 72 hours. After a couple days, I received an email requesting a picture of the chair, which I submitted and was then offered a few dates, but no times. I selected January 13th and confirmed my address and waited for yet another response. The 13th came and went and no one called or showed up. On Monday, Jan 15th I made another phone call and was told they would send a tech out and I told them no. At this point I was fed up and, wanted to return the chair and get my money back. The representative put in a “return request” and again said I would hear back within 24-72 hours. I was at work Wednesday and received an automated call that a tech would be arriving on Friday between 12-3 and if that didn’t work to press 2. I did and they connected me to the physical store which could not help me since it was an online purchase. Long story short the tech still came Friday, Jan 19th when I wasn’t home and I had to explain my story yet again to another customer service rep. I then called again on Saturday, Jan 20th and after 50 minutes of questioning and being on hold, the rep restarted the return request process for the 2nd time. It is now Jan 24th and I have still received no phone calls or email to schedule a time for pickup. I’m beyond done with this company and will never be doing business with them again. If they think I’m going to pay them for a product I simply cannot use, they are sadly mistaken. I need this problem fixed ASAP….its been almost an entire month of lies and excuses and I’m sick of it. Please help!Review fromBing F

1 star(This is written by a family member that speaks and writes English. The couple is an elderly Chinese couple that does not speak English.) I bought two sofas from the Chicago location on Roosevelt. They were delivered to me 12/26/2023, and the delivery people left immediately before I noticed that the sofas were two and a half inches taller than what I had ordered. I got my niece (the person writing this review) to help me call the company immediately and tell them that the furniture was wrong. Each time, the company would tell me that because I did not refuse the furniture on the day of the delivery, I am ineligible to exchange or to return the product. We had made more than fifteen calls to the company to explain to them that the dimensions were wrong from day one, but we did not notice before the delivery people left. Each time we explained the situation, they said they would get a manager from the location to call me back in 24-48 hours to resolve the issue, but I have never received a call back. We tried to communicate the issue and ask to speak directly to the location where I made the purchase, but they were never able to connect me or give me a direct phone number to contact. I will forever recommend against this furniture store. Their customer service is the worst, they have no empathy for their customers, and they dragged out an issue to the point where there is no hope for me to get the right furniture that I paid a good sum of money for, their prices are not cheap.Review fromJen R

1 starA negative 1 is a better rating than 1. I recently bought a sectional with custom chase and an entertainment center from Ashley’s in Ledgewood which was not a cheap purchase and am very disappointed with the furniture that was delivered and their horrible customer service. My couch was missing the feet which we asked the delivery people about and he said no and the entertainment center was missing a screw and pegs to hold the shelves up. The delivery guys said they would call and tell them that the pegs were missing so when I never heard anything I called the store myself. The person at the store referred me to the customer service department. Every time I call they need to call me back and when they call back it’s hard to understand the representative and they always need more information. They asked me to send pictures of what pieces were missing and after I sent several photos they asked for more. Then they call again and left a message that they need more information so I call back and they say they will have to have someone call me back again.
I have been given a huge run around with no resolution. Now it’s time to pay for the crappy furniture and I really don’t think it’s fair to pay for a product that I am not satisfied with. I would never buy anything from this place again. I was going to purchase a coffee table and recliner but I will shop else where. Bad product, and service for the money. Buyer beware!Review fromAna G

1 starAshley sells over-priced furniture made of cheap material. I would not recommend for anyone to buy anything from them.
We bought a sectional and recliner, along with the extended warranty to cover repairs. The material is an imitation leather product. We paid approximately $6,500. After a year or so, the material started peeling and ripping in several places. The peeling has continued on new spots of the furniture. We were told it was due to normal wear and tear. They based their opinion on photos and not a physical in-person inspection. We are two adults over 60 years old. We would in no way abuse our furniture. We are beyond disappointed with their products and service.
DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY. DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTIES. ASHLEY WILL RIP YOU OFF
We should have bought from Lack's where we have gotten most of our furniture and never had any problems with the quality of the furniture or their customer service.Review fromKrista C

1 starI ordered two beds and two dressers and had a horrible delivery experience. They scratched my wall and the bed frame. They assembled the bed wrong and forgot screws for the other bed that took about 7-10 business days to come in. I filed a complaint when it happened and nothing was done about it. I stopped in the store months later to look at sectionals and asked if they did in store pick up and explained my situation. Customer services reached back out again with no solution and also stated I waited months to say something even though I called as soon as it originally happened. Definitely will not be purchasing from Ashley’s again. Horrible delivery and customer service.Review fromLinnette J

1 starI agree with all the complaints. I bought a sectional and a dining table for my kitchen that came with 5 chairs. On Christmas morning we were having breakfast and my daughter went to sit and the chair just broke! One of the legs came apart and looked like it was stapled. Luckily my daughter was not hurt and was able to break her fall. I called the store and a representative told me not to worry just call the service center and they would replace the chair. I called the service center and was told that they would send me a chair leg to. He said the one year warranty does not cover broken furniture. I was so annoyed! If not a defective chair then what does the warranty cover? My daughter is 5” 0” weighs 125 pounds. My previous kitchen set I had for over 20 years with no issues. Now I am concerned to have guests sit at this table for fear that they could really get hurt. I bought this dining set in June of last year and in December the chair broke. One would imagine they would want to make this right if the valued clients business.
