      If a Negative Ten star was available, it would not be enough. After repeated mailers, calls, and emails. I finally decided to take Mariner Finance up on their loan offer. So I call the number , provide the latest code from the latest mailer. Mariner sets me up on an appointment, I come in, they ask for a bunch of documents ( which I provide, and they say they’ll get back to me by 10am following day, no call, then just call them)
      10:30 comes around and nothing, so I call and the lady that answers phone says they just started up the computers?! And haven’t even opened the loan application up yet
      Ok so I wait… till 4pm ( after calling and no answered phone)
      At this point , I am feeling like they do not view me as anything
      So I leave work early and come to their office , only to be told no approval because of a loss I filed last year on my taxes
      They aggressively approached me only to deny me.
      Mental health is real , and incidents like this only cripple the community and its morality
      I am truly at a loss for words with the
      Lack of professionalism this company is actively producing.
      I really wish that Mariner Finance NEVER CONTACTED ME
      I know not now where my life will take me after being crushed by this outstanding financial institution

      I keep telling them that I didn't apply for a loan and it had to be identity theft. They keep telling me that they have papers with my signature. They never contacted me for any information such as drivers license or pass port. The Contractor as me for info.and forged the paperwork and Mariners paid them $25,971.00 without them ever talking to me. Mariner Finance say they don't know who I am. Of course not. I want Mariner Finance held accountable because they are lowing over and over. Please someone do something about this.

They have answered your questions regarding the payments you have already made and Mariner will continue to assist you regarding any future concerns you may have.

      Mr. Gerard ******** last spoke with me when I called the ******* Office. Mr. ******** said that I'm only to speak with him. I'm only trying to find out who filled out a loan application for this loan. I did not have any contact with Mariners. I asked Mr. ******** how am I to pay this loan. I do not feel secure in providing anything with my personal information and going in with a money order. I know no details of this loan. Mr. Gerard ******** is not helping me in any way. I have also referred this matter to the the Consumer Protection Agency and the FCC

      This is a crappy company to do business with. They defraud their customers. I got a little behind due to health issues, but made payments as I could. They had my wages garnished for more than I owed. Do you think these thieves have offered to give me my money back?

      Thank you for your feedback. All payments are applied to customer accounts on the day they are received by Mariner and any over payments are credited to customers. You mentioned a garnishment and based on our review, your account is being handled by a third party attorney. Please contact them directly regarding your payments to Mariner. They will communicate any issues to your local Mariner branch office.

      Parkville location.. I lost my job in April but this aas the second time after catching COVID before.. . I called in when I was unable to catch the payment and was told to maje a 115.00 payment-after being told I could skip a month inJuly 2023I…By this time I was so upset. I was trying to atl east get some what current without being reported to the credit bureau ..I asked qbout the unemployment insurance and was told my insurance both times . I was in eligible. I was so down after that.. Iam the only one who takes care my Mom and this was also explained.. By this time I am not playing catch up .. Not one time was a suggestion offered to pay the interest or anything.. The only the want to do is take people to court .. Because the the next thing you know I got a letter from their lawyer Diana Holland stating I was refusing to pay their payments.. I have so much my plate losing my home. I can afford to pay for my Moms meds. Then they call all day even after I spoke with their manager . . This will be escalated to the news because I paid for insurance on this loan I can’t even use. Because of stupid clauses. Don't sign up for their insurance it may not be eligible. Also when I asked for the paper work to find on my own it was never sent to my email either…

      You receive you're guaranteed $4,683.00 to help cover the surprises that life throws your way so I applied and I receive notification that I was approved you are just waiting for your money. So the next day a branch calls and says we need few more things I think that’s reasonable then was told we can’t approve you. I was like what! I received notifications I was approved she said oh that was the computer that approved you we can’t. She said the computer assists us. That is ridiculous, you get approved waiting to receive your money then be told oh no we can’t. Then told let me see what I can do, you should of been approved on our side and will call you back, well 2 days later I had to call them and be told oh I thought I called to tell you that I couldn’t help. Unbelievable don’t send mail that says you are guaranteed a loan then oh not. Worst communication worst assistance nothing but lies beware!

      Please!! Please!!!! Never do business with the Hoover Branch of Mariner Finance. I suffer from Lupus; Sjogren's Syndrome and Rheumatoid Arthritis with put for 10 days and from there spent 20 additional days into a rehabilitation facility. Upon my release 37 days later I called to make a payment for the delinquent payment since the second payment was only 7 days late. I was told by one of these representatives that they wasn't going to accept my payment and they was requesting the entire balance of the account wich was $9677. Mind you, I was only 37 days late, not even 10 days late on the second payment but yet they refused to work with me. About an hour later, I received a letter in the mail by these ppl and it said to either pay the entire balance of the loan of $9677 or surrender my vehicle. They was so eager to repo my vehicle because there was over $6000 profit for Mariner. Of course, with 36 years legal experience as an educated paralegal I knew I had other options rather than to just lie down and allow them to take my vehicle so I sort my next best option so I could see legally keep my vehicle. This letter is a WARNING to all customers that has a car loan with these vultures. Trust me, if they tell you they're going to repo your vehicle for only month, believe them. Even a reputable finance company or a bank wouldn't be this ruthless, only these people. If you have other options, please use any branch except the Hoover Branch.

      BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They’re so unprofessional and rude. I’ve been down and disabled for quite some time and still making my payments when I could. It never hit my credit that I was late because I would get my payment in. I was fortunate to pay off my account in full and called 2 days ahead of time to notify them. The day I paid it off the Cumming office in Ga was the worst customer service experience of my entire life. Mike the so called manager and his side kick were extremely rude and unprofessional they rushed me when I had questions about the actual payoff that day and Mike told me he wasn’t doing the math I was stunned by his response and that I just need to get it over with. He said it didn’t matter to him and to hurry and just give him the account I wanted it to come out of. I asked to speak to someone else the lady was rude as well. I changed my address for my final paperwork to be changed and she asked me why would I move there based off of a certain zip code. I was like wow! They’re on extreme out of all days I call in to finally pay the loan off. I asked to speak back to Mike to tell him to have a great day and she says he all of a sudden went to lunch. Yeah right I then called Customer Relations I spoke to 2 people including the man over that store. He said he would call and speak with them about how I was treated. Next thing I know 7 days later I get a report on my credit that I’m delinquent when I’ve never been and I just paid the whole entire loan off. They’re in some serious trouble now I will spend my last if I have to making sure that they are held accountable for this. This is beyond unacceptable but I have God on my side so I’m excited about the way He will handle this situation for me.

      I have a retail/furniture store account with Mariner. I pay my payment each month… not on the due date and sometimes late to the point of a late fee but never over 30 days late. They’ve not only called and threatened to turn me over to an attorney but I recently received a letter threatening I pay my balance in full or a judgement will be placed against me. Now I am no lawyer but I don’t see how if I’ve never been 30 days late, how a threat to put a judgment against me is not harassment and predatory.

      I looked up the payoff on my account on THEIR website and mailed it in. When I went to renew my loan they said I owe $600!! They looked back and said my payoff was $7 short, they agreed to allow me to pay the $7 I was off on the payoff and $10 late fee, but would not renew another loan or do business with me in the future. That isn't RIGHT! It's no fault of mine that THEIR website wasn't accurate AND how do you go from owing $7 in January to $600 in June?
