      If I could leave zero stars I would. I specifically made sure that I stayed twice in their new promotion. Stay two times. Get one night free. It is a scam! I could have even stayed at better hotels the last couple times but I chose to stay because they were choice hotels and I could get the points. I wanted to take my kids on a vacation (a family Christmas present ) and use the free night that I earned from staying twice. All my kids are finally in one place with me this holiday season. I called because I did not see a free night in my rewards. They told me that I have to use the extra points that they gave towards a room that I wanted to rent. Yet, it would take more points than they even gave me to get the room! I even gave them a shout out in my reviews on a couple hotels because at that time I thought that they were a good company that stood by their word and promotions! If choice hotel does not honor their promotion, I'm going to go on my previous video reviews that I promoted them on and changed them! So far I have over 91,000 views on my videos on Google maps.

      If I could leave zero stars, I would. Extremely awful business practices from false advertising to useless customer service and lying about their intent to refund charges they made on my card. I booked what was supposed to be a quality inn, according to the choice hotels website. After booking, I called the hotel to confirm only to find out that it was not actually a quality inn, but a completely different local hotel, and they had no record of my reservation. I did indeed confirm the address and phone number were the same as what was listed on choice hotels. I called customer service and was given the run around and they also insisted on needing personal information, such as my complete street address in order to open a claim. Eventually, they said they would elevate the issue to their superiors to have the charges on my card removed, as they were falsely advertising a hotel which didn't exist. The charge did not drop off and remained as pending for another month. As soon as it posted, I contacted my credit card company to dispute it and am now waiting on a response.

      I recently stayed with Comfort Suites at Tanger Outlets in Gonzales, LA. I have stayed previously with this hotel and had no issues, which is why I chose to stay again. However, Kate, the front desk clerk was rude and impatient. She implicated that I couldn’t pay for my room because my authorization wasn’t going through. However, my bank was declining due to possible fraud. Additionally, I requested a late check out due to having a later flight and was told by Kate and another Front desk representative named Collen that there wasn’t any availability due to the previous weekends reservations. I am not exactly clear how people who have come and gone affect late check out policy but this was their reasoning. My check out date was MONDAY Nov 13, 2023 in GONZALES, LA! The Parking lot was ABSOLUTELY EMPTY Sunday night and Monday morning! There is no reason I couldn’t have a late check-out. This felt discriminatory and was a terrible customer experience! I will never stay at this location again! I would give zero stars if I could!

      I have been trying the econo lodge since early this morning. Have yet to get an answer by phone . This is horrible horrible service. I have stayed at many choice hotels. I know the kind of service they have at other Econo inns. Never got a confirmation either! Looking for another hotel in the Corinth area.

      Complaint on the Comfort Suites Hotel in Cedar Park Texas:
      900 Arrow Point Dr, Cedar Park, TX 78613•
      Horrible experience. This hotel manager called me after checkout and claimed a "strong smell of marijuana" was in the hallway and appeared to be coming from my room. I was there on business and do not smoke. He threatened to charge me a $250 cleaning fee but would "discount it" to $100 or police would be called. I thought it was a phone scam, but it was not. I have cleared the situation with the police (there was no evidence found) but this hotel still charged me $100 on my credit card, which i am disputing. I complained with Choice Hotels (via phone and online) and this Cedar Park hotel, with no requested call backs or resolution. I feel this hotel management is dishonest, trying to charge customers for fake "clean up fees" and clearly has horrible customer service. They stated they have cameras and key access records, but did not check either before calling the police on this incident. If the hotel has access to this technology, why was i called at work about my stay (room 415) and threatened with getting the police involved if i did not pay a cleaning fee? This leads in my mind to a dishonest managements staff trying to scam customers out of money. Police stated there was a smell in the hallway, but nothing found in my room, again, NOTHING found in my room as far as marijuana evidence or signs of smoking in room 415. . Date of stay 10/25/23. I have disputed the $100 charge on my company credit card and want to hear from higher leadership than the hotel manager or local hotel owner, as i do not trust this information is reaching the proper level of leadership and is a very serious issue. - Greg Houting

      I have had a horrible time with them. I booked a hotel online for the wrong location while traveling, which was 100% my fault. However, when I called I talked to the front desk who told me they could not move the location but they would cancel. I asked twice before hanging up if it would be refunded and they confirmed it would. No refund. I called customer service. They again said would be refunded in 6 days. Again no refund. Called again and they said they do not have the power to refund a hotel booked online. Then why was I told I would be refunded by multiple people?

      Also- when talking to customer service the first time, the male did not know I was on the line and thought he was speaking to someone in the company. When he realized it was the customer stated “oh yes it will be refunded.” And then hung up.

      We reserved a hotel in page, az at the quality inn and upon arrival we found several areas of Black Mold in the vents, bathtub and faucets. There was a black ring in the tub too. We immediately took pictures and went to the front desk and showed them. They told us they could not help us as every room was in that shape. We asked for a refund and was told a manager would give it to us the next day. We left. Now after 6 days nobody will refund us or cares about the condition of this reservation.

      I booked this hotel just about a year in advance of a big trip. Three months after booking, I got a voicemail saying that my reservation has been cancelled because I booked it through a third party site (which I did not and could prove). I tried to call the manager back multiple times to get my reservation back and clear up this misunderstanding. But I guess the manager never works because they were always out no matter when I called and never bothered to respond to the voicemails or emails I sent. Of course now I can rebook my reservation for 3x the price then when I originally reserved it. Overall super shady business practices and if you want a place that will reliably have a bed for you when you make a reservation, I'd look elsewhere.

      If I could give zero I would. We stayed at choice hotel in kill devil hills on virginal dare trail in NC from 9/29 through 10/3/2023. My room had mold all over and dead roaches ,it was filthy. We asked for a new room and when I packed my stuff back up a live roach ran across my feet. The new room wasn't much cleaner but roach free as far as I know. I wiped the walls myself . There were some wrappers on the floor that I left there purposely. They were there until we left . Housekeeping came once and made the bed and put new towels but never cleaned anything . First time in my life that I didn't tip housekeeping. It was absolutely disgusting. The front desk girl after 3pm did nothing and pointed us to the kiosk anytime we needed something . Not a pleasant stay at all.

      Please be very careful, I would never stay here again, this property has full time people living thier , playing very loud music, smoking weed, and it looks also like prostitution. My room has mold, ceiling decaying, cracked all up, this is a major dump and rough location. Choice rewards hotel do not care, they are running a stay two nights get one night for free and proving points that only qualify at a very deplorable property like this, even though yiur two stays was at a decent property.
      I.have a ton of pictures, there should be security here and this property should be closed from public customers and platinum rewards embers like more self.
      Horrible experience, Horrible fake program by choice, they do not honor the free night at an equal star location, they play with the points and devalue them by having the hotels move up to higher point qualification, I called in and asked for help when it came time for me free night, they did nothing but sent me to a big dump that is falling apart has roaches and probably government housing here.....STAY AWAY
