      Blew the heads twice , second time it overheated and I was "out of warranty " and out a truck and my entire Investment.

      BUYER BEWARE!!!, I received a transmission for my ***** ********* ****, DEFECTIVE from the start, started making a whining noise when shifting that increased in volume from the first mile through trouble shooting with Powertrain Products Warrantee dept. Approximately 200 miles were all the unit was used, 50 were before diagnostics were began. unit installed last week of January 23, warranty claim filed in April after several week of testing at mechanic. NOTE: if you receive a unit that is defective Powertrain Products will not stand behind that fact and will only cover a portion of the cost to install a second unit. I asked Dan @ PP about testing and why if it was dyno tested how could i receive a defective trans, his reply is it could have happened during shipping, which i find hard to believe. I'm out $750 to install second trans. My mechanic will not use Powertrain products again, getting paid for warrantee took more than 2 months. My advice is got to ** and get a remanufactured unit, at least you can rely on getting good customer service.

      I placed an order on a 95 5.0 reman motor got it delivered and had a shop put it in motor didn't last 30 miles then it chipped a piston and bent 2 push rods and a valve seat came out and a valve stuck open

      I bought a rebuilt 2004 Chevy LS 5.3. I went with this company because they had one in stock. I was trying to go to a jeep show. I was in a hurry. I did not fully investigate. The company I was buying from. Now to the problem.
      The motor looked good when I got it installed the motor into my vehicle followed their break in procedures removed all spark plugs, spark and fuel turned it over with the starter to get oil throughout the motor installed spark plugs, spark, and fuel now the starter will not engage I’ve been through five starters. I tried calling technical support to find out what was going on. I was on hold for an hour and gave up. I finally got a starter to work with six shims. The motor turned over fired off, but did not run. The fuel was not on. Try to the second time to make sure. Looked under the vehicle, and there’s a puddle of oil. The oil pan is cracked down the side. After pulling the motor, I find a connecting rod, broke in half. I have been emailing and calling for over a week. Finally, I get a hold of someone and they tell me I Hydro lock the motor. It was one of my new parts that caused this problem. I said there’s no other scenario that this could’ve happened and they said no. So I get no warranty and I have a $3000 paperweight. I do not recommend anyone buying from this company that will not stand behind their product. After reading more reviews, I should’ve never purchased from this company.

      This Company, unfortunately all in reality and experience been terrible, and this rating would be a negative star and then some... I went online made my order for a Reman 5.3 motor for my 1999 Chevy 1500 truck, I called approximately Friday 8/25/2023, couple days later to check on the status of my order, I was told my motor I specifically ordered was going to be shipped on that same evening 08/25/23 and I was going to get a shipping tracking ### number emailed to me by the next business day. Monday 08/28, I called Powertrain Products, I talk to the same sales lady, I talked too few days prior, I informed her that i never recieved any shipping tracking # number to my email, then Jill transferred me to shipping, shipping didnt have any info, specifically for my on-line order then i transferred to the "online person" Sarah I talk to Sarah, she is the person that handles the on-line orders, she tells me specifically she would call me back in a couple of hours with my tracking number, I waited approximately over 3 hours for her call back, I called her, nothing got resolved, she made the matter about her in ways, she instigated and fabricated a fuss along with a careless attitude, and she hung up on me over the phone, all I wanted so so simply was a tracking number to my order... I called back talk to a different sales lady, I informed the situation what had gone on with Sarah prior, 08/29... I went through another repeat, a tracking number that does not work with the carrier (*** ********) I was told and given a different shipping tracking number that powertrain provided that absolutely does not work, I was told specifically it would work today Tuesday, 08/29/23 after 5:30pm.... I even called *** ********, been since 6pm this evening 8 different times and they told me they can't pull up any thing I was given by Powertrain Products, and this present time 10:45pm and still no progress.... I just know this is a shady business, your decision to trust or not, I don't!!

      This is the worst experience I have ever experienced with a company. A customer of mine bought an engine from them, it failed quickly. They paid for their “no fault” warranty but it took me calling and emailing for 2 and a half months to finally get an engine replacement. Once I got that they received the core on June 7th 2023. They told me 30 days for warranty payment, then it was 45 days, then it’s 45-90 days. Well here I am still waiting and still getting the run around. I will stick with Jasper and refuse any customers who bring a Power Train Product. I do NOT RECOMMEND this company!!

      Terrible company. Bought a transmission from them that only lasted 2878 miles. it has been 4 months since we received a replacement and cannot get paid to replace it. Their labor rate is not even close to reasonable for warranty claims. All you get on the phone is it takes 90 days to process. Our dealer group will never use them again.

      The worst company I’ve ever dealt with there products trash there staff are big liars they don’t stand on the warranty’s so don’t pay for the so called no fault warranty cause it’s just a scam they’ll rob you without a gun you’ve been warned.

      Hope the motor last, but the customer service Terrible. Went to order a motor and the email had wrong year in one place so I called, they stated was correct and had in stock so I ordered it. Next day get a email stating I picked the wrong shipping and would be an extra 50+ and the motor was on backorder for 5-6 weeks. Called and got the issue resolved and was told the motor would ship out on Friday. The next week I am getting emails stating my core has been process, before the motor shipped. I check my checking account and they withdrew 1 dollar for some strange reason. I call about the core and the gentleman tells me my motor was delayed and will ship friday (I never stated my name so just a generic answer). Was told the 1 dollar was an online issue and lady would have the correct rep call me. Still waiting. Get the motor and install it. When I crank it 90+ psi on oil pressure. After changing the oil 3 times it dropped to a 65psi so I have no idea what tar they are using to assemble these motor. As of now the motor seems fine. So request core return for refund. Received email stated couple days delay. One month later I call, three time got disconnected. Finely get a man and state the bill of lading was produced but not sent to the trucking company. Really??? State would pick up on a certain day. Three days later when I am out of state the trucking company is in my drive stating that is when it was schedule for this day and wanted to charge me for a visit. We worked it out and got the motor sent back but the whole time I was waiting I am receiving emails wanting the tracking number. I honestly hope the motor makes it thru the warranty just so I never have to deal with them again. Stay away unless you like headaches.

      Sales department very informed friendly and helpful. knew their product line very well. I purchased a 350 C. I. engines for my 1989 GMC truck. Since I didn't have a core engine the purchase price was $3,356.64 total engine, shipping and tax. I hired a well-known reputable repair shop to install the engine. I drove the truck less than 100 miles and the engine started running rough and making a clicking noise. I took it back to the repair shop and after a preliminary check they (without taking the engine apart) are sure that the camshaft is bad. After being placed on hold for an hour with the warranty department with no one answering I tried the text message route I am still waiting on a response. I hope we can resolve this issue in a professional manor.
