I have just paid my bill and we have no internet service I have tried emailing calling and I get no answers from no one can't even get through on the phone it doesn't ring it says to check the # I'm calling. I emailed them to cancel my service multiple times and all I receive is a generated email message back. I would like a refund of our current bill I just paid for and I would also like our service to be canceled, also I would like confirmation that our service is canceled! Speedconnect is a internet provider. We experienced an outage 3 weeks ago. We have called daily and their message says all representatives are busy so leave a message. We have left many messages and they will not respond or fix the outage. We have experienced outages in the past and the same issue occurred. They are still billing my account but wont fix the outage. I want to cancel my account with them but I cant because you have to speak to a customer service representative according to their message. I have not had proper internet since 12/2023 when speedconnect switched over to vume wireless. Nobody answers the phone voicemails have been left and I have been without internet completely now for almost a month. I can't get anyone to help me resolve the issue or to even cancel my subscription. They are the sole provider in our rural community and my neighbors is working just fine. I have been charged a late fee every month since the transition when not receiving the bill with enough notice to pay in time.Initial Complaint

I am trying to cancel my subscription with speedconnect. I've been a speedconnect customer for I beleive over 20 years. I decided to try a different provider. I am all set up with the new provider but am not able to cancel my speed connect subscription. I call the number provided and you can only leave a message that request your email address. No one ever responds. Their post say you can only cancel speaking directly with customer service. That doesn't seem to be a possibility. I've gone on the live chats and as soon as I tell them what I want they send me to a ****** off website at a cost. I'm not interested in bashing them, I just want to change providers. I will not continue to pay their monthly bill but I am concerned if they will try to ruin my credit.Initial Complaint

My internet service has been down since November 12, 2023. I have called many times as I just want to cancel the service. Every time I call I get the same message; "all representatives are busy, please leave a voice message and someone will return your call" I have left numerous messages since November 12th and no one has returned my call. I just received the December bill and it had a late fee of $15.00. SpeedConnect has switched over their accounts to **** wireless and this was supposed to be a smooth transition but the first month they billed me my usual rate of $69.95 for unlimited internet which I had ACH set up to withdraw on the 15th of every month. The first month they didnt pull the payment despite the funds being available. The second month comes around and I get an invoice for the past due of $69.95 and current of $69.95 for total of $139.90. This was fine as the transition I thought just had a hiccup. I had called and emailed a few times to no avail. I did get an email on 11/21/23 saying: AUTOPAY NOTICE - There is currently no action required on your part. We will attempt to charge your automatic payment method on file for $139.90 on 12-15-2023. I thought we were finally getting somewhere. On Thursday 12/14/23 they added a $15 late fee making my balance $154.90. Then on Friday 12/15/23 they added another $15 late fee for a balance of $169.90. This whole time they never attempted to pull any of the payments from the account they have on file. I have called and emailed more and there is zero contact in any way with SpeedConnect or VuMe Wireless.
