      This company is a rip off. I never received the email with their rules and regulations. They stated it shows it was emailed to me. Well, I NEVER GOT IT. then they declined my claim because " it wasn't filed in " a timely manner ". They stated it had to be filed within 30 days. But, since I never received the supposed email, I was unaware of the guidelines. The staff member that I dealt with was rude and then hung up on me. I called numerous times but wasn't able to get through, except 2 times. Again, several months later, the entire seat of the frame broke. But because I had filed a previous claim, they lumped the 2 together, again denying my claim. This company took $300 for the 5 yr. Extended warranty and then treated me rudely and wouldn't do anything to make good on my claims. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AWFUL COMPANY.

      I am unhappy that i had to actually give them 1 star. I see that i am by far not the only consumer that fell prey to this scam of a company. We have spent over 18 months working with Guardsman trying to resolve a claim for furniture damage. We spent over $425 on this protection policy which they have never resolved. They sent us 2 different furniture repair vendors who service our area and they both walked in the door to tell us that Guardsman wasn't actually willing to pay them the cost to repair our sectional sofa. DO NOT PAY a penny of your money to this protection policy plan. BUYER BEWARE!!!

      I purchased a Guardsman Furniture Professionals Elite 5-year Protection Plan for a standing desk. When the standing function of the desk stopped working, I filed a claim with Guardsman and was informed that I did not have coverage. After reading the fine print of the policy (which I should have done before purchase), I learned the only things this Elite plan covers are non-preventable stains or scratches. Of course, ALL stains and scratches are preventable if the desk is not used or covered in plastic wrap which is essentially part of the purchasers responsibilities. So the plan doesnt cover anything. Its just a charge for future false hope and then wasted time ending in frustration.

      Do not waste your time with this trash company because it is all a scam save your money because these scavengers are only after your money. When you need them they turn their back on you and weasel themselves out of their duty . Bunch of low life scammers.

      Zero stars was not an option. Within 24 hours I identified an issue with a furniture item covered by a guardsman furniture protection plan and so I called customer service. ******* answered the phone and proceeded to inform me that he could not provide any information until a claim was filed and that he did not have any information about local technicians, claim processing, how follow up would be provided, when I may hear back from somebody, what services were available to resolve my issue, and that he did not have access to a supervisor or other individual who could help me. He said he'd send a link to start the process. That never occurred I called again the next day, again ******* answered during the course of the same conversation he oddly told me I would be supinated and needed to be prosecuted. No clue what that means but it sounds like a threat. Still no answers to my questions or additional staff available to assist. Third day calling back an exact repeat, it was as if I was speaking with an ivr rather than a human. I'm no closer to resolving my reason for contacting customer service. I had to do my own research to locate the website and initiate a claim online and today received an email stating they would send me a cleaning kit. A cleaning kit for a saturated couch. Not. Helpful. At. All. This company is reported as a scam all over the Internet with a consistent message of buyer beware. My next step will be to contact the state attorney general to file a consumer protection complaint with the attorney general

      Doesnt even deserve 1 star. The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Typical warranty company doing anything possible to avoid covering a claim. I submitted the claim without the date the damage occurred which void my coverage, one lady told me I could re-submit the claim to fix the error and it appeared to be getting processed, I called to check on the status and another lady said it would absolutely not be covered because the date was entered incorrectly. I cant understand why anyone would want to work there, how miserable. The retailer we bought our couch from, NFM, has such great customer service they were kind enough to refund us the cost of the warranty even though it wasnt their fault.

      Awful. Guardsman 5 Year Platinum Outdoor Furniture Protection Plan was a complete waste of money. DO NOT PURCHASE! Highly disappointed with this experience.

      I filed a claim with them on some outdoor furniture that were destroyed by weather and storms. My claim was denied according to the following: "Outdoor Furniture-Other - Wicker/Rattan Breakage of Any Kind - The damage you reported was caused by fire, smoke, flood, other natural disaster, or act of God, which is excluded from coverage under the section of your protection plan titled "Other Items Not Covered." In some protection plans, this exclusion can be found in section 7."In other words, they do not cover any claims since anything could be called an "act of God". I have been trying to get in touch with them to discuss this but was placed on hold for over 20 minutes after being transferred to the department handling the claim. This is clearly a scam and everyone should avoid this company at all costs.
